  • respect for! master wong

  • Thank you Master Wong. Big respect for this discipline, thank you again for teach us. God bless!!

    DancingForLiving.

  • awesome and informative videos; thank you Master Wong.

  • this is a great lesson!

  • can i have wing chun even tough i have an acl injury?

  • WATS THE PURPOSE OF THAT KICK...Y KICK LIKE THAT???

  • @thientai00 its to kick their leg when they come in and make them lose balance

  • @thientai00

well i don't do wing chun but

the first kick will primarily be to the knee (followed after a failed sweep or a straight leg this can break the join easily, the foot is turn to increase the striking surface)

the second is a thrusting kick using the blade of the foot it is a variation to a common side kick and can target the outside of the knee or sides.

the third is a basic front heel kick,

the advantage of the drill is that three different kicks can come form the same position

  • @thientai00 balance

  • Thank you for your teachings, greetings from Barranquilla-Colombia.

  • gd mrng master wong i hv a dout in kickin practic ..... my leg doesnt go straight or stretch ..... the 1st or secnd is cmfrtable bt the 3rd one is difficlt for me .... it bends on practicing.... plz tell me the bst way to learn it easily ..... or other way to learn the stretchin practic of kickin ... im very thnkfl to you if you reply me as soon as possible so that i cn proceed ma prcticin ..... thnk u so much .

  • I have the same problem as megatrashable.. My legs are not flexible enough to do these exercises, I will stretch and practice more before moving on.. Thank you so much master.

  • @JJustis88 Just a heads up, I've gotten better at the triple kick much faster by doing it slowly first, focusing on balance and completing the motion, without caring about speed. I did it a little faster each day, and now I've improved my form and speed. Good luck to you, hope this helps

  • I hit a roadblock. I don't have the flexibility to do these kicks properly. Better do some hamstrings stretches

  • I know right

  • Those are great Videos!

    And I love Master Wong.

But I know some people, who think they do Wing Chun, and they learn in it by just watching those videos.

Videos like that are good extra work. But without actual sparring, no one will learn to fight proper!

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 real wing chun is about promotion of health.. NOT fight. It is a shaolin form that was once a secret, and if any practice for fight, then Wing Chun dies.. Get it? so if you want to fight, practice some american crap, wing chun and ALL kung fu is for exercise, and certainly NOT for war.. Not I that says thi, but th8us say the SHAOLIN..

  • @jojojr2

I'm sry, but you are wrong.

And I know, because i do Shaolin Quan Kung Fu, and I went to China just for Kung Fu.

I know that today most of people do Kung Fu for health, especially in China. But even Tai Chi, which is like the most Health-KF form was about fighting back than.

Wing Chun was not a Shaolin secret. Wing Chun was founded by some Shaolin Monks, who wandered torwards South, while Kung Fu was forbidden. WC was even formed, for fighting against Shaolin KF!

    sry for my english

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 I practice shaolin Mizong Quan, and any TRADITIONAL kung fu, and I also practice ba duan jin, tai chi chuan. SHAOLIN and YIP MAN said these things, so youll have to tell them that they are wrong. YIP MAN is who said this wing chun once a secret SHAOLIN form.. I believe THEM..

  • @jojojr2

They say that WC is from Shaolin Kung Fu. Thats true, but its not a health-secret. Its a fighting secret.

I know that most kung fu schools in china became just acrobatic schools. But the real art, is about fight, there's no doubt.

and now its about master wong, he is teaching this for fight!

so if someone wants to do kung fu for exercise, he or she should go somewhere else, because there are better acrobatic schools than master wong^^

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 I use YIP MAN/the science of in fighting w/Wong Shun Leung myself, Master Wong here has given me a way to EXERCISE the form. and I can chose to use it for fight, or I can chose to use it for exercise! but I see you miss the point.

  • @jojojr2

the only thing I'm saying ist.

If you wanna learn WC for fighting, you have to go to a real school and learn it by fighting. Everything else is an Illusion.

As you say, those video-lessons can only help for practising the basics, but by only watching those videos, you wont be able to fight the wing chun way.

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 if you want grappling moves you need a spar partner, if you want boxing skills, these vids are plenty! all you have to do is learn the HONEST form!!

  • @jojojr2

Every sprot you do heals. Especially healing. But that doesnt mean that its done for healing. The healing "secret" of kung fu ist Qi-Gong.

Ask Master Wong, or any other master, kung fu without fighting is just not the whole thing. to understand kung fu, you have to become fearless. you wont become fearless if you just do your exercises, thats for sure!

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 again, I learn my philosophy of Kung Fu from Shaolin, I get ALL my information and any questions I have go straight to Shaolin. ALL my respect to kung fu goes to TRADITIONAL kung fu, and Im already grounded there. I know that there are many many philosophy but I dont follow them all. I ALWAYS search the origin of the arts I practice, not the modern styles. If I want to explore the science of te fight, i use Tan Dao. But, as I said, for me, its for health not to fight.

  • @jojojr2

there are thousands of schools who use shaolin as a trade mark.

    be aware of that.

i do shaolin kung fu, i do it every day, i do qi gong, zen, and shaolin quan.

the abbot of the shaolin monastary in henan says himself, that what the shaolin monks in the monastary are doing now, is acrobatics, and not the OLD art.

there are other shaolins, who do this. the OLD art is fight. do you believe 2000 years ago the did it for exercise?

    which school you go to?

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 "and those who just use wing chun in order to fight Thinking you can take on 9 fighters at once- well I say violence is no way of solving societies problems. However if people can seek to use wing chun to improve one health, then wing chun will continue to develop forever. ~Ip Chun

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 learn honest form and watch lots of kung fu movies lol!

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 and Im not saying Wing Chun was not a fight science. it was a self defense for a WOMAN..

  • @jojojr2

    yeah, i know that...

And i know the healing part in Kung Fu its big. But its just a fact, that it was founded for fight. So dont say you cant fight with WC, just because most people dont use it for fight, and most schools are about health, it doesnt mean there arent schools who teach proper fight!

like master wong! his school is amazing for fight, and for health, too. Look at his amazing Tai Chi skills!

To get to that level for health, you have to master the fight site of kung fu!

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 best example I know is Ba Duan Jin.. 8 section brocade. I started there, one movement actually messages the spleen, and other parts of the forms are for joint/ligament so on. If the forms are in honest form, they stimulate immune and as I said message certain internal organs. I never said there wasnt a fight science. Its not the art itself that the old time MASTERS say, its in the heart of the artist themself.

  • @jojojr2

For me personally its very important, not to be ruled by emotions, and instincts. And to become fearless, as much as possible.

Too spar with friends, is the ultimate test for me.

When i reach this level, I can start think about higher levels. Healing and Zen is like the Master-Level of Kung Fu. It's both very important. But only who understands the rules of fight and the damage, knows the worth of peace and health completely.

that doesnt mean you have to be a bad guy before^^

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 There is no difference in Kung Fu and exercise.. Kung fu is certainly not for war. ~ Shi Deyang

  • @jojojr2

It's not for war, but its for fight^^

And Shi DeYang is from the modern Monstary, he has nothing to do with traditional Kung Fu...

  • @7TabloidJunkie7 I study traditional as much as I can, I practice because kung fu is the only thing I can stay interested in enough to push past the comfort zone. I practice the forms just because they promote joint/muscle/ligament health, designed to limber out a fat guy like me lol! I was doing all these other forms, and went back to wing chun forms because I found that just Master wongs FIRST exercise alone works my bad knee. Ive gotten to exercise 11 with master wong, knee is healing!

  • Very informative; I practice it, and it involves self discipline. Are these lessons free?

  • THIS IS EXCELLENT TRAINING. MY IN LAW PRACTICED WING CHUN AND AGREES THIS IS GREAT TRAINING, AND ITS FREE! THANKS MASTER WONG!

BY THE WAY YOUR ENGLISH IS FINE. BELIEVE ME THERE ARE NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS WHO DON'T SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH SO YOU ARE DOING WELL. MOST PEOPLE LISTENING TO YOU UNDERSTAND YOU.THANKS AGAIN.

  • @cyberjoe77 ALL CAPS RAGE!!!

  • wing chun is a soft style fighting, for a regular person who never got punched or kicked, usually they got scared BEFORE even try to BLOCKING attacks....and it's a dead end if you tried to learn this fighting style...

my dad was a kungfu master, black belt chinese karate, he said if you want to learn the soft you must learn the hard part first....it's like the philosophy of " if you want to live well you got to work hard " shit....

  • @jangkrikngocok Yuen Kay Shan killed over 100 Chinese niggers in death duels with Wing Chun.

  • ALL HAIL DUE TO MASTER WONG

  • keep going

  • master wong with all respect and consideration How many times must I repeat this lesson??master;D

  • this guy is simply great!

  • Thanks Master Wong i luv ya :)

  • @littlemimus

    Good points!

Plus if they try to kick you can easily block with your weightless leg

  • @kakkarot14

Try stretching dude. Slowly lift your leg on top of something around as tall as your waist and leave it there. Don hurt yourself and don't bounce. You'll have to just teach your legs that they can go higher. Also try Ariel jumping jacks. I heard they help

  • and my tissues are some tight, i mean i cant lift my leg perpendicular to my body!!

  • hi i have a question that i can not hold my leg in air to kick, i need to force my leg alot to kick in air like shown in this video, so can u help me that what shud i do? plz tell help me

  • great video editing for a casual video

  • This is what good youtube is.Usefull information FREE

  • Thighs......BURNING!

  • I really want to learn this..

  • Thank you Master Wong these videos have een VERY helpful! Thank you!

  • i really want to learn wing chun so bad!! but theres none in my city !

  • @5674trackrunner same with me. guess these vids will have to do!

  • I can get my legs high enough for everything but I can't stretch my knees straight out yet ._.

  • When you're facing one opponent, how do you face him? With your side with your weightless leg in front or straight with both legs supporting equal weight?

  • @peterfaj its just depends of the situation, but the most usual guard stance is with one foot in front and the body a bit in side (just like the guard he did in the first videos where u learnt how to walk), just to gain some distance-secure advantage.

  • @peterfaj side with the weighless leg in front. you dont want to face them straight up front because it allows more area to be hit. when you are facing them from your side they have to reach around you to hit your core. well thats what i learned in taekwondo.

  • i cant get my legs high enough for the last one, shud i keep repeatin the previous basic lessons to become more flexible ??

  • @Mossadude

raise your knees first. high knees then kick...

    hope this helps

  • @alawha thanks

  • great one master

  • Thank you very much master!

  • master wong how to do it take to master wing chun?

  • Man, this one sure is a bit harder. I can't get my legs that high. Is this a great problem?

  • it's very smart how the wing chun style kicks low, there's not a good chance someone would grab your leg

  • r u suppose the hit the legs or the body??

  • Can I ask u, master wong? Are you Chinese? And Can you tell me how did you good in martial art

  • the red dots on the shoes really help =D

  • he looks like derek fisher

  • nice shoes

  • this kick is similar to a kick in savate, ( i watched human weapon lol) apparently it has the force to break sumones knee, this is only if u drive body weight into the kick

  • i fall some time when i shift my leg from 2 to 3 :( what am i doing wrong..

  • put all of your weight to the other leg to stable balance

  • i try but when i go kicking at some time i switch it back unintentional :(

  • @LasTCursE69

You are not doing anything wrong, it is just you haven't trained in this long enough. I fall sometimes too, but when my balance gets better I will get it!!

  • i need more stretching

  • why isnt it Wing Chun?

  • It is not in the wing chun system, wing chun has only a front kick to the groin,a and a sidekick to the midsection, wing chun never uses the kick to attack the limbs or joints i was tought

  • Wow your Win Chun is very limited, and sounds like its also very incomplete good luck I hope you haven't been studding long.

  • wing chun is about limiting the number of decisions you have to make in a fight so you can focus on important things, thats why the first form is Little Idea

  • i thought those kicks look more like a block or a stop on other kicks.. like at least the first two kicks, not the third front kick

  • every wing chun student knows that blocking is not in the wing chun system

  • Well... just my observations.. but I thought Wing Chun was about parrying and countering until you get an opening?

  • Comment removed

  • what??

um..there are differeant tradition of Wing Chun...

some combine Hung Gar or Choy.

there even a sidebody Wingchun much like Jeet Kune Do.

I've seen Wong Shun Leung Sifu n Gary Lam do many differeant kicks.

Ip Man's WC is called Hong Kong style.

  • you are very misguided, the main principle to wing chun attacks is to attack weak points of the human body, because it's the fast and deadly.

  • Rampage42 is right All martial arts (Bu-Do) use almost the same way with different presentations and explanations :)

  • guys, stop arguing

  • good job master. please more wing chun kicks. peace

  • Does anyone know a good Wing Chun training place or something like that in the Anaheim to LA area?

  • Awesome teacher!!! So Clear

  • search chain kicks

  • I love the way this guy talk, great lesson

  • at last!! great, clear step by step wc instruction. however i would also encourage students to think by themselves! thanks mw

  • I aspire to be just like bruce lee, even tho I probabli will never be as good as him, but I'd luv it if I had the support of a master, but there is no one who teaches wing chun or JKD in hornchurch =( Any1 help?

  • Bruce did a LOT of weightlifting, running and situps.

  • learn whatever martial art is in the area.

most of the time after martial artists master one art they can easily adjust to another without starting out as a white belt.

i have an instructor who knows 5 martial arts that he actually mastered and now he says any other art he wants to know he just studies it from a book and can do it.

  • mastered 5 thats really hard considering to master a martial art you need to have a 9 th degree which takes a life time. so to say he mastered it is a bit of a long shot but to say he has studied them would be a correct logic.

  • that is true, he is 9th degree in 2 styles and i think he's 5th degree in the others. cant swear to what he is in the others, but i consider that master enough. the only reason he didnt pursue it is because he felt it wouldnt benefit him.

  • thats ridiculous

anyone can be self taught but you'll only progress so far and your technique will be shitty ...

how can you master anything if their is always room for improvement?????????

maybe you could post a few videos of this ""master""friend of yours I'll even assist you in getting views if he is a really good """master""".

  • ha ha good one

    what about those videos tho?

so you can't prove anything you said you call me retarded?...nice

If you practice Capoeira form 5-30 and think you can do Jujitsu with out learning the basics your wrong. You will know nothing with out the basics.

Go find a teacher of any martial style and tell him that he'll laugh in your face because you sir are Ignorant when it comes to the martial arts.

  • omg u're so stupid. i'm not saying what u are saying. I'm saying that once you master several martial arts learning news ones becomes easier because you understand basics. you can teach urself much easier if u already have experience in martial arts. I'm not saying that you can immediately be a master in any martial art. learn to read.

and as for videos. no i wont put any up because its not me. if my master puts vids up ill send you a link but its not my place to record them or put them up.

  • Must you keep lashing out?

    You say

I'm stupid, retarded and I can't read because

I correct you when your wrong.

  • 1.

your logic is only correct if the styles are similar,

the basics for one are not the same for another.

    2.

I never said you'd be a master in jujitsu so

    You learn to read.

    and 3.

No matter how long you train a self taught style it'll never compare to having a instructor show you what to do and how to do it.

    Take a breath it's just a conversation.

  • while your learning to read remember if you can read Russian reading English should be

pretty easy considering your past experience. ha ha ha

  • 1.that analogy does not match. which you would know if u weren't an idiot.

    2. ur #1 is correct, i didnt mean it for ALL martial arts. just in general to martial arts.

    3. ur #3 is an ignorant statement. in the world of martial arts effort is everything. even if it is self taught it can compare, possibly even surpass, to having an instructor. once again that is assuming they already have martial arts experience beforehand. im not gonna bother responding to u again.

  • fail

  • Ater training I will be Yip Man ! just joking! I ike his style!

  • my mornings were ranout when I come to do the 6th move... couse I have to go to work.

  • Why is he teaching kicks so early on? The hand strikes are used alot more and should be taught earlier.

  • Because it's part of footwork which is the most important part of the system.

  • he isn't teaching kicks he is teaching exercises that help build strength and balance while instructing on proper form

  • Thank You So Much!!!

  • hi there can anyone tell me who he learnt of ?

  • thankyou master wong, you unlocking new parts of me and my potential, much appreciated

  • I'm so pleased i found these lessons... Thankyou..

  • thanks master

  • nice shoes Master Wong. I want test with u, but i'm not Wing chun, i'm Tai Chi

  • That's an insult... you're asking some master to waste time with you just to "test"

  • thanks sifu wong

  • thank you master wong! i will practise everyday!

  • Whoop... I just saw, I have to linger here in lession 6 for some time, I have close to no balance and just fell over trying to kick out... I really must practise... Thank you master for putting them here *performs proskynesis*

  • i think it is pan nam wing chun, judging by the forms and the punch center line (shoulder). Nice videos mr Wong, keep up the good work. Peace

  • what lineage is this
