Or place some kind of material over the head of the microphone to absorb any 'pops' coming out of your mouth. Your microphone is fine, you just need to not speak so close into it.

I would say act out your voice as close as you can get to Optimus Prime. Do what i said about delay. Then change the pitch down, it should look like this -8.000. Change it to how deep you want your voice.

what screen recorder do you use? The quality is amazing!

I used NCH's free debut recording software and rendered it in HD widscreen in Sony Vegas, you can render HD in WMM if you have Vista. I'd suggest recording in AVI format because it is not blocky like you get with recording WMV. Be aware though it will TAKE UP space. This video took up a whole gigabyte.
