  • STYLUS. thats what i wish for this tablet.

  • @TentionB tottally agree

  • the lenovo support doesn't seem very helpful and not convincing at all. I dont know if it can fool anybody. At least it cant fool me ......

  • this is just techonol

  • omg....... how much is this....? how much is this piece of shit?? some one told me this is better than Ipad2 and a bit chrPer

  • i had this idea a long time ago but someone beat me to it :(

  • already lagging and not working right. smh

  • How do you spell junk?

I mean.. I spell junk as junk.

but you might spell it differently.

and that, i know is a JUNK.

  • what the hell? its been awhile and not even out yet....EPIC .FAIL!

  • @DJTEVAdotCOM itis delyaed till 2011.......i cant show you the link here....

  • @DJTEVAdotCOM itis delyaed till 2011.......i cant show you the link here....google it "lenovo ideapad u1 delay"

  • cool device... but lenovo has to improve the speed...

  • was für eine billige scheiße oô, nur wegen ipad, schnell mal was aufm markt schmeißen -.- Viel zu langsam .... lagged ja bei jeder berührung rum wie eine Diashow

  • waste of money, I'd rather get a 15.6" tablet

  • Lol how slow is the processor? It freezes on everything and looks unresponsive. But it looks nice.

  • anything that runs windows is going to be a piece of shit

  • @james89027 Lol so your suggesting linux? I hope your not going to say mac lol.

  • at the top left corner, is that the ubuntu logo?

  • 999 is much too expensive, and a June launch, too late. Right now you can go out and buy essentially the same thing, an Acer tablet PC with almost the same exact specs, minus the Snapdragon for when the unit !transforms! into iPad. I find it stupid and superfluous that it needs to dock before turning into a full-fledged Win 7 tablet. It's like the designing team has a conceptual problem: TabletPC or iPad clone? So one guy snaps his finger and say why not have both? What a brilliant idea. Uh huh.

  • Looks like when they get the bugs worked out (a faster processor and a little more memory, this would be a great product. The keyboard dock is a lot more polished than Apples. Apple will probably come out with something like it in a year or so and call it the "revolutionary" "iPad Pro".

  • @gm71962 its not a keyboard dock it is the rest of the laptop, once you click it into the keyboard it runs windows 7

  • @Ronnie51026 OK at about the time 3:59, it is referred by both demonstrator and the interviewer as a "dock". Several times. I just referred to it in the same way. For simplicity, but if you want me to get technical, I can.

  • @gm71962 well the demonstrator and interviewer apparently did not realize what the "dock" really did since the tablet mode was the main concept here. i did not occur you were just referring to it in the same matter for the sake of simplicity, i apologize for my misunderstanding.

  • This guy really wants to pinch the photo! Anyways about the lag- that's what we all said about Palm Pre and other HTC phones. But even now after several WebOS updates the lag is still well and living.

  • @ecsyntric and we overclocked both of them to get rid of the lag. (the new generations did not hurt either)

  • piece of shit haha laggyyy

  • Unique idea Lenovo, but sorry, I'd rather take an ion powered S12 or Mini 311.

  • i mean come on people talk crap bout the ipad but lots of people will still buy it thats already a fact

  • Can you only use your finger?

  • man... I could NOT tolerate that guy's pronounciation... Was the convention held at asia? Seriously.. Lenovo could have done alot better with better English...

Love the idea and potential there tho; great terminal with heaps of capablity... Hopefully all the lags will be gone by the time they actually start selling these (usability could also do some major makeover...)

  • $1K is too expensive...I would buy it if its half the price.

  • think of it as two computers, the lenovo x100 without a screen which would cost $449 if it existed, then a separate tablet like the joojoo which is $500 then it doesn't seem like to much, but i agree with you, the price of this will be the failing of it, to most people it will just be an overpriced netbook, oh and the resistive touch screen will also be a big no no for people handing over a grand

  • Тормозной, ваще капец нафиг

  • they need to have a person who can give more information.

  • if they fix the lag and market it appropriately it's a winner. if not, apple will take the market.

  • Fixing the lag is not the issue... it is the processor, the snapdragon was never made to run HD video it is a mobile phone CPU. The Apple CPU is built from scratch to serve the Ipad it wins in terms of performance. Add the fact that the OS on the Ipad is just a bloated phone OS too so the overhead is less.

  • DanePax

The Apple CPU is not built from scratch. It's a system on a chip which uses the same ARM CPU as the Snapdragon. The difference between the two is the GPU. The Apple A4 uses an ARM GPU while the Snapdragon uses an ATI.

The Snapdragon is fully capable of playing HD Videos, i can play 720p encoded videos on my snapdragon based phone. The snapdragon has a dedicated signal processor designed specifically for playing HD video.

  • can u use google chrome? instead of firefox?

  • This is best possible upgrade to netbook, with WINDOWS 7 in Laptop mode, and if they can put CHROME OS on the slate mode.

The combination will be best for the consumer.

Apple has launched its IPAD, it lacks physical keyboard which makes it more of a entertainment device than a productive one, LENOVO HYBRID is a better option, if they can put in CHROME OS instead of SKYLIGHT

  • that would make it $100-$200 more expensive

  • This device is not multitouch:)

  • it is they had put it into slideshow and the presenter did not know how to take it out of that mode.

  • @oguzhangunes

    fortunately yes it is

  • yea it is it just doesn't show it in the pic viewing and they never told the staff.

  • Don't see a reason for it, when you undock it it runs linux, so i guess it is a combination entertainment tablet and notebook, but don't think it will do well. Historically tablet sales have always sucked, as it will for Apple, unless the Apple Islate is a big ipod touch. A big touch will sell better than a tablet computer

  • Apples product will blow this out of the water to be sure. For a start it won't have lag.

  • @colinire15: - And now we know it didn't have much else either...

Not even a fricken USB port without an adapter ffs.

Don't you just love it when Jobs says the iPad will "give you the best browsing experience ever" on a 1024x768 screen - without Flash support!?

  • dude they say its super high resolution when the archos 9 tablet has a smaller screen with a higher rez :O

  • Very nice job at getting your hands on this so early...

  • Everyone thinks Apple's mythical iSlate is going to be the wow product of the year... But I think this may be up there.

  • Does it have WiFi and 3G?

  • yup built into the slate

  • good effort but too laggy. needs to be smooth, especially when before people pay $1000 US

  • That looks awesome.
