You wanna know what fucking truck driving is, then document and focus on backing. Docking the trailer is 90% of trucking, you only do it 20-30% of the time but your entire skills is 90% backing. This trucker says you don't get rich? Bull shit, that's prolly cuz he's got 5-12 kids, or he simply can't save his money.
screw that over the road shit!! i did 30 years of that shit and dealt with all kind of assholes !! i now got a job movin a tanker around theyard for a good pay check! home every night for supper and no more assholes to deal with out on the road! thank you Lord!
Much respect to you bro..Im 22 and in truck driving school..and im coming up on completing my first week and i have no prior truck driving history or even roots in my family. honestly i have a family and i need the money and the experience would be nice. but im having alot of bad second thoughts as i dig deeper into this truck driving lifestyle. also im not doing to good in school either it seems like my brain wont except any of it. will it get better? and will truck driving get easier?
I'm a UK truckie Of 20 years, theres a lot of similarites between UK and US Truckers Mostley the Lack of Money For the Hours worked and the lack of respect from you boss, no matter how hard ya try n show him how good ya are or how much ya keep going.
in the UK, we have the added bonus of the goverment trying to close the British tucking industry down, so we will all be looking for new work.
if its not in ya blood you wont last. But good luck.
Hello,I'm an owner of a small trucking co,{driver too} been out here 19 yrs and there is so much more to explain why this job is getting harder everyday,Revenue{freight charges} are the lowest in years,Fed and State rules and Regs to be compliant is nearly impossible,Absolutely no Representation behind us,No one on Capitol hill Working in our favor,Public image of truckers is poor,Cost of operation makes it nearly impossible to profit! THIS IS THE TRUTH.
Truckers are the best! The money you pay out for your license fees are outrageous not to mention the medical expenses, eye exams, gas prices, weather conditions, bad drivers and so on! People should be informed everyday on the news to never ever cut off a trucker or you'll lose your life!
Amen Brother! I've always wanted to find a way to explain to these 4-wheelers how our reality really fits into their mainstream life. Congratulations, I enjoyed your explanation to them!

My volume is all maxed out. Can you please speak up?
By the way, I thought you were going to speak in the trucking language, something like, "Mercy's sakes, this here's 10-18, listen up. I was on a flip-flop from a trip to the city and had to dead-head all the way back to Tulsa-town for another job." See the video whose keywords are "Rebel trucker cajun blood money." I liked his rendering of "truck-speak." It lightens up my day.
Trucks keep our nations economy togather, from hauling raw materials to the manufactuer to hauling refined goods to the retail, to even hauling purchased or privatly owned goods to the consumer, with out truckers, the nations economy would fall apart.
Just so you know, I am currently studying for my Commercial Drivers Liscence Learners Permit.
It's amazing how many people do no know what truckers do... This country would come to a complete stop if it wasn't for truckers... Think about it: Food, Clothes, Lumber, Computers, Furniture, Appliances, Paper, Printers, Stereos, Generators, Bedding, Toys, Medicine, TV's, Shampoo, Soap, Washcloths, Stuffed toys, Post-it's, Nic-nacks, Mirrors, Mail, Tools, Cars, Rocks, you name it - It gets shipped by TRUCK! Thank God For TRUCKERS!!

There's an old saying, as accurate as it can get.. if you bought it, a trucker brought it. So true.
