  • The "shofar-like" sound is called "toot", in english language. I say that the shofar makes a "didjeridu-like" sound, considering how old these instruments are. ;-P

    However you say right about being two different techniques. In fact the "normal" didje sound is obtained with a "trombone/tuba-like" technique, the toot is obtained playing like a trumphet.
