I in my MX400 sony HD camera mount a boogy of 137gr. + + Fpvosd system and takes no problems quad is practically negligible weight of the entire system.
Watching an open box review right now from back in december. I do like that it comes in a nice box for easy transportation and whatnot. I suppose it could be a nice beginner RTF system.
@SpencerJProductions Yes had a flight today with GoPro on board. it handles it very well. Previously in this video one of the motors was binding and that is why it did not generate much lift to carry goPro. I have added Correction Annotations. I will post new videos with gopro onboard this quad soon
Got one of these - added a sticker mount for the GoPro HD2 INCLUDING the LCD screen AND the waterproof case with absolutely NO PROBLEM!! I used the standard battery and got about 12 minutes flight time. Handle fine with the camera on.
Just and idea - even without the camera the tube-legs bends just looking at them and especially by landing. Replace them with Ø5 mm carbon tubes and all is fine. Just cosmetic - works fine with the standards too, but they are curved after first flight.
Aww man that sucks your can't carry the Go Pro. i hope Walkera didn't change the motors. The sample I had had no problem carrying a Go Pro with a big 3s 5000mah battery. My MX400 was carrying well over 600g. A little too much over the advertise 500g max payload, but it did fly with all that extra weight. I was about 7000ft up in the mountains getting some footage of snow hehe :)

@xhelicopter Gonna shoot a new one with GOPro Mounted Under the quad. above the quad all it shoots are propellers in the view. weather seems to be forgiving today LOL and Stadium area is just greener now to shoot some aerial footage of AliShanMao Sky Walking the MX400 like a skydog heheheh gonna get the footage today. batteries are charged :D and yes gonna do FPV on T580P+ :D hope i do not drop it in river as I plan to get some close call footage

@alishanmao Even so, is there any reason to go for this over many other quads today? Prices have dropped by quite a lot recently. I'm sure you can buy something that can carry a kilo or more for less than 400-500 usd now.

I was rather sad when I ordered my Lama 3 amd right after tat this bird came out, I almost cancled the order so I could get one, and still want the MX400 badly! SIGH, need to save up yet more cash!! ;P

I was very impressed with how fast it would go. It was like watching a fixed wing fly past. If the controlling is easy, then perhaps you have an option for taking on a cam and doing a tour, go see the zoom train..ha ha...thanks Gianni
great video man like usual. :) from this video it seems like walkera needs to upgrade the power systems in this thing. most people who buy quads plan on using them for video or fpv. it seems like if walkera would make a more powerfull quad more people would buy it. but since it cant even lift a go pro i dont think many will buy this.
It might be that your front left motor has some binding issues because it spun down way faster than all the rest. That might be the motor that is hot?

@socratic101 T580P+ is for now a good choice for starter Aerial Photographers. it carries GoPro HD or a light DSLR. or maybe a FPV system and a GoPro or light camera. but for true aerial photography a serious one, you need to make a rig for yourself. or use helicopters
Noticed that when you throttle down (at landing) that one propeller immediately stopped spinning, That could mean that something is grinding against the motor or something like that. That's why one of the motors is getting hotter that the others. Cheers mate.
Maybe something wrong with quad. Walkera indicates load capacity of 500g. The GoPro weighs less than 200g? Poor climb rate would also make me suspicous of problem.
@hankus42 well yes that did indicate but as per our test, there was fully charged battery in it and gopro with its casing was totally 283g i believe and it could not lift off
