  • Wow! Your voice sound like man but wonderful hair. Good job. :)

  • @GakiRose I might have a low talking voice but I can sing really high pitched. Figure that one out. lol Glad the video helped! XO Carolyn

  • i love ur videos... hows ur son??

  • @smartlioncub Thanks sweetie and thanks for asking about Lars. He's doing great! Just got through qualifying for the Special Olympics State Championship in Raleigh in June and he's getting ready to graduate HS. He also already has a job at our local IGA, so he's fantastic! Keeps me so busy though. Wished there were more time in a day or that I could divide myself into two people. Between him and my website, I tell ya... I never seem to rest! XO Carolyn

  • you're so cute :)

  • i have a question.. if you have thick AND wavy hair, will this cut make your hair managable? and if your hair is long does this cut make it shorter?

  • @alienapatricia This cut is perfect for thick and wavy hair. (don't know if it'll make it more manageable though cause I have curly/wavy hair and its always doing its own thing, no matter how I cut it... lol) This cut will give you layers.

If you want an easier technique, look through my more recent videos for an 'easy layered V cut' video. You can do the V style with only one cut. I just learned the technique not too long ago and it rocks! XO Carolyn

  • Would you recommend the v-cut for trimming long curly/wavy hair?

  • @darkhappiness Doing the cut this way would be hard for you since you have long hair that's got wave/curl. I have an easier (one simple cut) method of doing this. Look in my newer videos and you'll see a layered cut - easy V cut video. Try it that way. Its such a better method of doing this cut! Wished I'd known about it when I was working in a busy salon! XO Carolyn

  • your username looks like its says notanidiot haha but iread it and it doesnt say that lol. thanks for the vid. Im about to cut my own hair! wish me luck!

  • @RottenBrains71 I do wish you luck! There is an easier way to achieve this I didn't know about when I did the video. Look for one of my newest videos that mentions the V cut. You will love it! XO Carolyn

  • personaly i think ur prpl shirt is too small

  • @MyMARIAxd Personally, this video is not about a purple shirt. What I choose to wear should not be an issue. Have a great day!!!

  • This is great! Thank you so much, this is the second time I cut my hair using your technique...I first did the *create long layers in long hair video you have* and now this one for my v in the back,,,awesome results!!!!!! THX for sharing ;) xx

  • @xTamLuvsRickx That's so great! I am truly glad this helped you! Kudos to you for 'getting it'. You can create layers and also get the V cut by one simple cut too. (didn't know it when I made this video) Look in my newer videos for the 'layer cut your hair - easy V cut'. Its pretty awesome too:o) XO Carolyn

  • you're awesome! i ve gone to 3 people for a blended v and all three screwed my hair up now im going to try it myself. i appreciate you're help very much.

  • @MICHELLEEVANS33 Be sure to also check out the newer version of 'easy layered V cut'. It only takes one snip! XO Carolyn

  • your video is very helpful, save me alot of money. Thank

  • can u still cut your hair into Vcut if your hair isnt the same lenght

  • tthanx so much for this video , i had ask my hubby to cut my hair last time and he made my hair shorter and straight, but now i did it myself thnx so much!

  • @dollbc2007 I am so glad this helped you! I am sure you did a great job! XO Carolyn

  • this video is great. you have helped a lot. my cousin loves cutting her hair into a V....... one question, though. uhm, you know how you said that when you're done cutting, you should make sure that the sides of your hair should match the length? well, you have more hair on your right side than on your left. so, how will that help?

  • @MsSandra217 Doesn't matter. You want to match them whether you part your hair on the right or left side or the middle. Also, be sure to pay attention to the amount of tension you use on both sides and make it equal too. If you want to do an easier version of this cut, check out one of my newer videos on 'easy layered V cut'. Its a simpler technique I learned not too long ago, that is really helpful! XO Carolyn

  • it was a ok video

  • I hope Lars is doing better now Carolyn! You are a sweetheart! Thank you for making all of these helpful videos for us to learn from! I will be telling my friends and family about you also ;)

  • @mshotpink25 Lars is doing wonderfully. Thank you for asking! Thanks for the kudos. I really appreciate them!~ XO Carolyn

  • Awesome video :) but like could you also put layers in your hair with the V cut? like would you do it just with the method of putting your hair in a ponytail?

  • No. Look through my newer videos. I learned a fast easy way to do this V cut with layers. Its called 'easy layered V cut'. Its awesome and only takes one cut to get a V and to get layers. You'll absolutely love it! XO Carolyn

  • do you respond to everyone's comment?

  • Yep, I try to!

  • Good stuff...

  • There is a much easier way to cut the V cut that I discovered not long ago... Its so cool.. Please be sure to watch one of my newer videos entitled "Cut Your Hair - Easy Layered V Cut". You will be amazed! When I tried it, I was like... why didn't I think of this a long time ago!!! It makes perfect sense. XO Carolyn

  • hm.. it would be nicer if she smiled a bit...

  • Sweetheart. I don't smile a lot because I'm cutting hair, which is serious business in my mind. I am quite the comedian at home but keep comedy out of my videos. There is a time and place for everything... :o) Carolyn

  • For the ones that can afford a high end professional hair stylist there is nothing better that but for everyone else i guess this could be an option

  • I cut my hair like this for years and it always looked nice. Of course, it took some time before I got it right. I learned an easier cut this year and have a video about it. (easy layered V cut) It takes so little time and gives you outstanding results.

  • thanks for posting your videos! I hate to have strangers touch my head (weird I know) and have always cut my own hair. Luckily it has a lot of natural wave. Your videos will help a lot with my techniques!

  • you are AMAZING!

  • You are too. Don't ever forget it~ Hugs, Carolyn

  • Love your videos and don't pay any attention to haters. They only say things because they can't compete.

    Keep it up & stay young forever (;

  • Thanks lady! I appreciate the vote of confidence! XO Carolyn

  • ello love. just for a question. for long hair(waistlength) do i still wet it. it curls, well is wavy now. i think it will be too hard to cut wet...but i whant your opinion. i love your tips. they help alot. please help me.

  • You can cut it either wet or dry love. Since your hair is so long however, you will need help or assistance. OR, you could try a newer method for getting the same look. Please view my newer video called 'easy layered V cut'. It only takes one cut, which you can angle or not. (read the comments) It solves the problem of having to pull your hair forward to cut it down but you get the same results. Its totally awesome, so check it out! XO Carolyn

  • yeah this is a cool video. i cut my own hair all the time and this was still informing. dont listen to the nasty comments. you are doing fine! keep it up :):):)

  • Thanks for the vote of confidence. I get tired of the nasties but after 2 years of dealing with them, I've kinda gotten used to them. At first they really hurt my feelings but I got a backbone and deal with them differently now:o) (Although I've always tried to be the better person and play nice!) XO Carolyn

  • dont let them bother you. people get bored and take it out on youtube users.. basically because they know no one is gonna jump out and punch them. trust me, i make lots of videos and get hate comments all the time. people are LAME!

  • I just started approving messages on some videos cause I got tired of the haters. lol Thanks for your kindness. It speaks volumes! Hope you are having a great weekend. XO Carolyn

  • I love it! I'm doing this tomorrow (on my day off). I really need a hair cut but lack the money for one! :) Thank you!

  • Ha lady, check out my newer video titled 'easy layered V cut'. It makes this cut so much easier to do. I wished I'd known about it years ago! Let me know how it goes! XO Carolyn

  • omg! i don't think you should cut your own hair thats all im saying and a v cut wtf that was cool like in 82 lol but.......if thats your thing thats cool but to get a nice hair cut whats 30 bucks you got to keep the would turning so do your part and see your stylist in your area im sorry im not trying to be a dick !

  • That's your opinion but hear me well. Women cut their own hair anyway. They've done this since the beginning of time. No stopping it. Why not help them? is the way I see it. My own son cuts his hair sometimes too, when his bangs are too long. Its common sense. Hair's too long? Use scissors. V cuts have been popular a lot longer than you think and I think they're still cool. That's my opinion. Carolyn

  • Not trying to be a dick but...You're an idiot. Why would you tell a woman who cuts her own hair very well to not cut it? Clearly it would be a waste for her to spend $30 at a salon when she can do the same thing for free! I cut my long hair and get compliments all of the time. I haven't been to a salon in 2 or 3 years!

  • Jason, you ARE a dick.

I think self-tutorial vids are a brilliant way to gain knowlage. i preffer to cut my own hair as i dont trust many hairdressers coz they always end up doing your hair wrong. Plus they charge WAY too much these days for a simple cut that with these videos can be done at home

  • is this a joke? wtf i do hair for a living for one thing i think its a bad thing to cut your own hair and im not sure you know what your doing wow!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well Jason, now you really got me reeling! No, this is not a joke. You are a joke. If you are a professional hairdresser and stylist, you damn well know that women are going to cut their own hair whether you like it or not. I learned this technique from a stylist who was twice my age and she showed me the cut several times on her clients who got the cut. It always turned out beautifully. I used it on my clients who requested it also and they loved it.

  • Furthermore, cutting your own hair is different than cutting someone else's. Lets see you do this cut on your own hair babe. I talk simply in my videos because my subscribers are not licensed professionals. I try and talk so they can understand it and they appreciate it. This video isn't for professionals, its for the ladies at home who can't afford to come to you because (in case you haven't noticed) we are in the middle of a horrible economy. Have a nice life. Carolyn

  • @jason815miller, anyone who can't string together a sentence certainly doesn't work anywhere i'd want to get my hair cut. i've been going to salons and often spending no less than $60 on a trim, and the tips i've learned from her videos have gotten me more compliments on my hair than i've ever gotten before. so shove it :)

  • Carolyn thank you so much for your great videos. During these difficult times you are saving people a lot of money and they look great too! Forget negative people who love to come onto the internet to put people down. They are unhappy and want others to feel the same way too.

Keep up your good work and once again thank you so much.

    Peace

  • Thank you Carolyn for taking the time to help everyone. During these difficult times you are saving people a lot of money and they look good too! There is a very famous Chinese proverb that fits people who say hateful comments. "It is better to be thought of as being stupid then to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Keep doing your great work Carolyn and forget those who envy you.

    Peace

  • Gosh lady! I love this! I will have to remember this proverb! I have another video to upload but haven't had time. I lost my other job recently and am scrambling to find more work! (And of course I'm always working on my site!) Peace and love, Carolyn

  • you're so pretty! thank you for making these videos; they're SO helpful!

  • Gosh, thank you sweetheart. I do try! Right now, more than ever before, ladies need to know how to cut their own hair. This economy is down right scary! XO Carolyn

  • lol u must of cut ur hair alot! after these few years haha

  • high five to u! ur awesome for not letting people get u down. what u are doing here is great for ppl.

it also encourages ppl to try stuff out, im mean its great if u mess up, u learn something.

i've learned alot from youtube, everything from cutting my own bangs to threading my eyebrows. and i think its great when u dont limit yourself there's nothing wrong with trying it out. if it doesnt work it doesnt work its just hair.

  • My mom told me a long time ago, that if you haven't got anything nice to say, its better to say nothing at all. I try to build people up, not tear them down. You are awesome for recognizing that. I've messed up my own hair a lot over the years, but it's taught me a lot too. I would rather mess up my own hair for free than have to pay someone (hairdresser) to mess it up. lol XO Carolyn

  • I go to Empire Beauty School and I havent heard this one yet... but it looks really awesome!!

  • I learned this from a top beautician I used to work for in Durham, NC. Oh and check out the newest video I did. It gives a different kind of V cut but it's awesome too! And only one cut! Best of luck in your schooling! XO Carolyn

  • I cut my hair using this technique, and people are raving about it and asking me where I got it done at. You do have to be careful though.

  • Absolutely! Taking your time and being careful is crucial! And kudos to you for doing such a good job! 'Tension' is key. This is the 'word' I was trying to say in the video but failed to mention it. (brain fart) Keeping the tension and the length the same bilaterally is essential for a successful cut. Great job! XO Carolyn

  • I'm a top hairstylist in a big major city and if you were 13 years old you could get away with it but your far from it... there must be a reason you quit the salon ... ages ago... technique are evolving ...

  • Well aren't you fancy? Problem is, I am not. I am a regular ordinary chick who also happens to be a hairdresser, massage therapist, site owner, and mother. Some cuts and techniques never change. You know that as well as I do. If there's a better technique, then show me. This is about cutting your own hair, not cutting someone else's. There's a big difference between the two. You might be able to cut other people's hair, but can you cut your own? Have you taught yourself for 20 years?

  • Your remarks seem very classist. Many woman do not have the option of going to the salon or prefer this type of cut, which they can do themselves.

  • you can always tell a cheap haircut ...

  • Actually, I learned this cut from one of the top hair stylist's in the area that I lived in at the time I was working in a salon. Its a great cut if you understand how to do it correctly. Nothing cheap about it except that I do it myself. I've been doing the cut for many years now. I made some mistakes when I first tried it but learned from them. Have a nice day! Carolyn

  • The shears I have are hedge clippers! That's why they cost over $200! Oh! Yes! And never think outside the box! You fit in with the masses that way! Good luck and God bless! XO Carolyn

  • Be sure to check out my other videos. I've been experimenting with my hair for almost 20 years now and have learned 'how to do it myself'. I love helping others. It does a hear good! Thank you for subscribing! I won't let you down! XO Carolyn

  • thank u

  • this was so great! i think i only watched the first 3 minutes, then paused it and sat in the tub with a mirror. your directions were perfect!

    thank you thank you!

  • that wil b really helpful.. Thank u so much :)

    Have a wonderful day

    God Bless :)

  • Also pls do a check on the sound quality.. it can barely b heard :)

  • This was a very early video and I think I've improved on speaking up and such. You have a really good idea for a video so I'll certainly put it on the list. Have a nice day! XO Carolyn

  • if u have tips for how to grow full lustrous and healthy hair , please do a video on that.

    Thanks

  • wow you have full hair

  • I know. lol It gets really hot in the summer too, but is a bonus in the winter. I would love to give some of my hair away. I've just got too much! lol Have a great day! Carolyn

  • old bitch is old

  • And one day you will be old too! But I'm not dead and I can still read comments. Your comment is neither appreciated nor helpful! Get a life will ya?

  • There is a must read book for the hairstylist coming out of school called "From the bowl to the chair" a must read for 9.95

  • You should try a flat iron after you pass the blowerr so make it . You can still get volume with that too.

Btw thanks for the tips. ;)

  • to make it look alot less dryy.***

  • Great tip! Thanks for your input! XO Carolyn

  • This Works Really Well..

    Thankk Youu..

    (:

    Ima Doo This<33

  • Glad it worked for you! XO Carolyn

  • :P THANKSS!!!

  • Thank you! XO Carolyn

  • Milf !!!! You rock !!!!

  • ok bacluv69 your pretty f ing immature. thats all, thanks.

  • You should cut the back short.

  • oh yes, and i forgot to mention in the last video (layering the hair) that the other video was the first video i've come across of yours and has made me subscribe! Thats pretty great to come across ONE video and make you decide to subscribe because it was that good.

  • hey; u wana go fishn.Lol!!!

  • thats cool! when i was little i tried to cut my own hair but it was all uneven and chopy.LOL!!

  • do you have to do it with special siccors?

  • Yes, you really do need some good scissors. You can get a half way decent pair at any Beauty Supply store for about $20. Or at least your scissors must be sharp enough to cut hair:o)

  • The Asians call it the Leaf cut

    :]

    very helpful video

  • That's a very cool name and very accurate! I really think it fits well for the cut. Thanks for letting us all know! XO Carolyn

  • how many times do u have to say the things over and over? u should just record it without talking.

  • Now that's a great (13 year old) way to teach someone how to do something! Whatever chick. In real life, they say that most people have to hear the same thing at least 8 times before they remember it.

Sorry but older and wiser wins the day. Also, the best way to get rid of petty annoyances, is to turn things off. The stop button is the square one.

Don't like something? End it and stop bitching at me for trying to help people who are willing to listen and learn.

    Have a great day! Carolyn

  • this shit doesnt work!!

    shes helaaaa ghetto ballin.

  • I can't tell you how many times I've made mistakes with this cut over the years. The first time I tried it was a total chop job. There is a learning curve to this cut. But thats the beauty of mistakes. You learn from them. Everyones hair is also different, so its imperative to know your own hair type. You will also need a good pair of shears and you must make sure the tension is the same when you cut both sides. There is also always one side of your hair that won't behave itself, no matter what!

  • these people don't know how to appreciate good advice. i think it is wonderfull that you make time for giving other people advice for how to cut your hair. x blessings

  • Thanks for saying that sweetheart. I feel bad for my response below now. I'm an old softie and one of the nicest people I know:o) But sometimes people rattle my chain the wrong way. I really do try and help people. I might not be the best teacher in the world, but God knows I try to do good and help. I feel that if you are educated in something, you should be willing to share that information. We all benefit when we share together. No doubt. Keep smiling! XO Carolyn

  • oh well, you can't be the best in everything right? nobody is perfect. don't let it get to your heart, it's not worth it, hun. x

  • Agreed! I am too old to be a perfectionist, that's for sure. Its the one thing that aging has taught me best. Perfect doesn't exist. lol Have a great day! Carolyn

  • Hiii Carolyn, i hv got really long hair, dey r below my buttocks, always hd straight cut,, buh m bore of it nw,, can u suggest sum cut n in which i cn maintain d length as well hv sum style.. thks

  • How about the long layered cut? Would that work or help? Check in my other videos and look for the 'long layers for longer hair' video.

If you want more layers and have any curl in your hair, look at my newest video. (how to layer cut your own hair) XO Carolyn

  • Thks Carolyn.... Really appreciate...

  • You're welcome! Let us know how it goes when you cut it! (If you do...) XO Carolyn

  • i cut my hair in cocktail style :) V shape as well bang..... V shape my hair till my ear n d one ind front i cut it in to bangs... Does nt look dat bad though..... Well, do any mess on urself n walk vt confidence,, ppl call it style..... ;)

Thanks for ur lovely video, it helped me alots

  • You go girl! It is style! and you got it babe! Keep confident about your hair and other people will notice. Exactly right! I am so glad it helped and thanks for letting me (and others) know! Have a great day! XO Carolyn

  • Thanks!

  • You're welcome!

  • thank you for this

  • You're welcome!

  • thanks so much for this! Ive cut my own hair a few times, rlly wanted to try a V-cut myself but just didnt know how. Now that I know I can try it and see how it turns out! Thanks so much!!!

  • You're so welcome! Hope it turns out great! Just take your time. No hurries, no worries... XO Carolyn

  • SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO U AT 9:10 SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU OR TALK TO YOU ONLILNE AND SAY I LOVE YOU OR ASK YOU OUT BUT HERES THE CATCH send this to 3 vids

  • i've tried this last night and the result is great! thank you carolyn. :) :)

  • Great news~ Thanks for letting us know! XO Carolyn

  • you good

  • its cool ;D imma try it

  • Did you? How did it go? I wished I could be there to help you! Just take your time and keep your tension the same on both sides. Keep the amount you cut even on both sides. Haircuts don't need to be perfect. When you cut your own hair, there is a learning curve and you will make mistakes. Its how I learned. The wonderful thing about hair is that it grows back out, so the next time you know what not to do! Best of luck~ XO Carolyn

  • omg...i dont think i can do it

    LOL

    but thank you sooo much!

    ;D

  • OMG. U Are so fucking annoyiong.

  • OMG! So are you!

  • Hey! you are a very good teacher! 5/5! i'll try the V cut tomorrow! Thankx a lot!

  • Just be careful and take your time. Keep your tension and your lengths equal bilaterally. Once you get the hang of it, it gets easier to do. Hope your hair turns out nice! XO Carolyn

  • love how energetic you are!! (sarcasm -_-)

  • Sorry... maybe I was just being serious, considering the subject matter, which IMHO I should be. Have a nice day! Carolyn

  • hehehehe yeah... also.. i didn't meant to sound rude or anything is just that you really sounded too serious... but no prob , your video was really helpful

    Blessed Be

  • Its all good sweetie. I try really hard not to sweat the small stuff. Bless you too! Carolyn

  • i loveee the v cut ...but ive never had one done properly i wish i could do it myself ..but i m afraid to try.... are your boobs real? cus they look very natural but very perky for natural big boobs...either way nice boobs! (not in a lesbo way i was just saying cus theyre either naturally perfect or an extremely good doctors job)

  • V cuts are a bit tricky to do but they look great if done correctly! As per my boobs? Its called a wonder bra! And it works wonders!

  • Is there any hairstyles for straight (and thin-stranded) hair? I'm wondering what to get, since my friend cut my hair like, half a year ago, and its growing longer since i cut my split ends. I love u vids btw, ur explainations are detailed =]

  • Ha sweetie, Unfortunately, thin straight cuts are limited. When you cut straight hair, you can very easily see any cuts that are made. Since your hair is thin, it makes them even more visible. Cutting longer layers, bangs, and soft fringes around your face are three cuts you can successfully make. Your bangs should be layered to add fullness and actually thinned on occasion. Coloring your hair, using glazes and texturizing and volumizing shampoos add more body. Protein treatments add strength.

  • timothy,u need a V cut done on yr dick......

  • hello, i just watched your videos "Create Long Layers in Longer Hair" and "How to V-Cut Your Hair". I would like to do both of these to my hair... I'm wondering which should I do first? will doing one consiquently make it more difficult to do the other? i have never cut my own hair before, i usually have mom help.

  • The V cut is very difficult to do by yourself. Maybe your mom could help you. One side you are able to cut downward. The other side, its easier to cut upward.

I don't think it will matter which cut you make first, but it might be slightly easier to do the layered cut first, then do the V cut.

Take baby steps with the V cut. Make sure your tension is the same on both sides and make sure the lengths are the same on both sides. Good luck!

  • i understand you think i'm a smartass... but to tell everyone the honest truth. everyone that i have shown this video to agrees.... the cut is totally uneven in the back... the hair cut looks silly. do this cut to your self and everyone will laugh at you.

take my professional advise.... save money this way.... get a professional cut at a professional salon. use good salon products, and utlilize minimal heat upon your hair and your cut, on long hair will last aprox 6- 12 months!

  • No not at all. You are free to express your opinion. Thats why I have open comments!

Whats amusing is that not one person laughed at me or my hair. I get compliments on it all the time. Your comment is transparent though. Bashing others is no way to get clients into your salon.

I am sure everyone reading this would love to afford to go to a hairdresser. Problem is, no one has any money! The economy is in shambles, in case you didn't know. Have a great day! Carolyn

  • Oh, btw. I didn't leave the smarta__ comment! Someone else did!

  • Dear timothymeerman, dont you have something useful to do instead showing to people youtube videos you dont like? What a waste of time! Theres no reason insulting such a kind lady who is sharing a video just to help people. You insult all the people who have no money to go to a hairdresser too. You are so rude. You should be ashamed. Put your professional advice you know where. We dont need it

  • If you really were a professional you would be kind. Oh and something else. Many times in the past professionals like you destroyed my hair. So I prefer to do it myself, at least its FREE!

  • You go girlfriend! As a professional, I am ethically bound not to say what I really want to say. I have to play it nice.

He posted another negative comment so I deleted it. Some people seem to forget that if it's my video, I get to decide if the comment goes or stays:o)

I never mind constructive criticism but this guy had nothing constructive to say. Just more bashing!

You my dear, are a real sweetheart. Thanks! XO Carolyn

  • You are a sweetheart too, and very kind and helpful :D Thank you.

  • thats so cool! thx so much!

  • why don't you just pay a hairstylisty to do this for you?

  • You sure can! If you have the money and if you trust your hairdresser! Have a great day! Carolyn

  • Some people can't pay a hairstylist you smartass...

  • Touchee!

  • Not an option for everyone. I really hate the assumption that everyone has the money to make any kind of choice. Currently almost no one can afford anything, but even before this, many could not.

  • Love your video! You showed every detail, I can't wait to try it. Thank you.

  • Thanks sweetie. Just take your time when you try this cut. Cut your guide first and work from there. Be sure your guides are the same length on both sides before you start trimming. XO Carolyn

  • :] Thank you so much ! I've been dyin to know how to do this .. I Have my hair layered .. but not like a V Cut .. :/ My mom cant spend more money on a salon to do me a v cut just for 30 dollars :[ .. Anyways, Thanks !! Lots of love - Arianna ♥♥

  • Thank you Arianna! (Love your name!) Love you too! Carolyn

  • Carolyn, you seem like such a wonderful, down to earth person....your videos are now my #1 FAVORITES

  • Thank you sweet heart! People like yourself are the reason I do my videos. I've met so many really wonderful ladies thru youtube, yourself included. It warms my heart and I thank you for that! XO Carolyn

  • Good stuff :)

  • this is ridiculous

never ever cut your own hair!

    always go to a professional!!!

  • Uhm Hi, well mah cousin cutted my hair like that a year ago, and when my hair was gone long, i letted mah dad cutted, mah hair, and it happened, well it turned owt no good, so i juz left it dere and started to cut mah own hair and now its un even so since mah cuz is away im tooo scared to cutted, well de reason i wannted to cutted is i got heaps of split ends, so do u got ure own store around brisbane, qld, so i can come to u?? BYE FOR NOW

  • If you've got split ends, it may serve you well to do a blunt cut first, to get rid of the very ends of your hair. (see other videos) Then try the long layered cut instead of doing the V cut. (see my other videos) This cut is tricky to do by yourself. I am in the US unfortunately. One of the best products for split ends is hask placenta. The ingredients are a bit gross, but it's cheap to buy and works miracles from what I've read. Get details about it on my site. Use the site search tool.

  • Thank u very much....

  • my stepmother is a hairdresser, but i will NEVER let her touch my hair ever again! now i have my own personal hairdresser in Bodø. (a little place north in norway)

  • nice!

  • I remember the first time I went to a hair salon and told them I wanted a v cut. they cut all my hair off! ever since then I've been cutting my own hair

  • Those negative experiences really make an impact on us don't they? I'd rather screw up my own hair, than have it all cut off! Truth! Cutting your own hair does have it's downsides and challenges, but I find the more you cut it and mess it up, the more you know what not to do! lol Hope you have a great day! XO Carolyn

  • lol i cut my hair too!! I dont trust anybody else! And i cut my own layers and everything! It loos so good though..and ppl think i always cut it at a salon! xD

  • i like thiz vidoe

i tried it like last night and it did work

now my hair looks better than it did before

    thnx a lot

  • You are very welcome sweet heart. I am so glad your hair turned out better than before. My hair is still layered from me cutting it way back when I made the video. You may have to touch it up and cut off 'stragglers' as you part your hair in different places though. Just trim them off as you find them!

Thanks for the friends request too! XO Carolyn
