Passing Carnival Pride in the Chesapeake Bay - February 7th, 2011 - 12:45AM

It takes about 7-8 hours for the cruise ship to make it from Baltimore to the Atlantic Ocean. The cruise ships are scheduled to depart around 4:30, but they are sometimes delayed.. Also when departing Baltimore, the ship has to turn completely around 180 degrees and do other maneuvers to get out of port which takes time... Other ports they can just sail straight away. @aj3u If it takes 7-8 hours to get to the Atlantic Ocean from the Port of Baltimore then chances are if I go on the Carnival Pride the ship will already be in the Chesapeake Bay when I wake up the Sunday the ship returns to Baltimore. And who knows what time it gets to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel the Sunday it leaves. I may stay up to watch that if I take this cruise. Since Monday-Tuesday your strictly on the ship I can sleep in Monday.

How long does it take a Cruise ship to sail to the Atlantic Ocean from the Port of Baltimore? I saw one video of around 5:30-6pm on the Carnival Pride under the Key bridge and the Pride departs Baltimore at 4:30. So what time did you arrive to Baltimore?
