mmm yer good effort but why bother playing it the same way and transcribing the WHOLE song note for note....yer sure transcribe but put your own flavour to it....you cant imitate sco or dennis.....like NO WAY!

it was great, but I feel the instrumentation was not full. Drums were good but it was definately not note for note, nor anything comparable to Dennis Chambers

dont be a dick by leaving 3 times as many periods as one would need

maybe they just wanted to have the sound of the song really really sink into their heads so that it can grow into something really solid later. Im just playing devils advocate. To be honest they didn't play it that well without any improvising, think what it would be like if they didn't do it note for note. At least now when they go for it again itl be way more ingrained and shit

@djcuvcuv112 - You nailede it, exactly (at least, as I see it). It is a cover, but its a tough ass cover, and this is gonna pay off nicely for them down the road as they weave this influence into their own work. Wish I had the chops to pull that off when that age. The funk and fusion I'da been able to bring. I thought it was a great song for them to emulate as they learn their craft.

what do you mean by stuff? the same hits/breaks/fills? you can't be referring to just the general quality in the musicianship, because then you'd be saying this guy is just as good as the God himself Chambers, and we all know thats just foolish. this korean dude is good, no doubt, but its intersting how he can play the same thing and it's just not as good because the groove lacks: slightly on top from the string players but they'll get it if they keep practicing :)
