  • when you get to buy something expensive like this..i would suggest you to think about the pride..and the exclusive performance of this effect.

if your property is reasonably expensive..beginners will be so desperate to even "stealing" your show. In my country this is the main issue..magician will steal away your show..

    it's worth it.

  • I think 20 years from now if I we see a part timer weekend show magician do the Squared Knot Rope Routine it is just as important to Dean Dill's legacy as a "real" pro doing the more complicated Coin Explosion routine at the Magic Castle. Sad thing is that I can guarantee you someone will make and sell a DVD doing their "Cheaper" more practical version of this effect at some point. Not right but its true. I just would like to see Dean Getting the credit and money for that either way.

  • OK my bad. Have to correct myself. I see now that This effect costs in fact $1100.00. Way too much to me but I stand by the rest of my comment. There has too be gimmicked coins like this more affordable on the market very soon. No disrespect to the Great Dean Dill. He should offer something more affordable even if the effect in the routine is changed some. Still great though.

  • Oh sure, lets make it so EVERYONE can afford it, then EVERYONE will be buying it, & flubbing it up, revealing the secret, and this trick will have lost its unique appeal.....

kinda like Delite.... a beautiful effect that has been oversold and oversaturated. I say, Keep the pricepoint in the same realm as the miracle being performed, and not everyone will try to conquer it. It is an amazing trick that requires more than the buying price anyways, as you already seem to be aware.

  • OK I get that you hate when cheap amateur wanna-bees spoil a good trick. I do too but the point I was making is that Dean Dills Genius can still be shown & appreciated in his less costly effects like Deans Box or even the very very affordable Square knot routine. There is already someone doing a , although simpler, version of his explosion routine with some "more standard" coin gimmicks. This is an example to me of a possible cheaper version of his effect.

  • Just incredible. Sure they have to be gimmicked coins but they seem to be so well made the price of 100 bucks seems fair. Looks as close to real magic as you can get. This is not something for just any part time magician.Too much work practicing for part timers. You probably wont see Blaine or Angel do this coin routine either. Maybe David Copperfield if he were still doing TV Specials. Definitely Doug Henning could have pulled this routine off in his day. Great work. Thanks for the post.

  • i do believe i like your style,50 stars! check outbmy stuff for fun.

  • Dean is a Master at this thing we call magic and a fine gentleman. In case you haven't heard he has been diagnosed with cancer and its serious. Send him your get well, best wishes and prayers. I know he will appreciate them.

  • In a world where this word is used too liberally: a MASTER indeed.

  • A genius and brilliant thinker. He is both practical and out of this world teeth smoking eceptional. Myy humble opinion I really do understand that magic is an art and not a contest, but nevertheless I would Dean Dill up as one of the top twenty magicians working in the US today. Dean Dill Live Long , Prosper , and may you come to the understanding as how valuabe you are to themagic subculture.

    Peace

  • i guarentee that anyone who went on his site spent at least 5 mins playing with the snake letters that dance around to ur mouse when u enter the page... u no u did!!!

  • There is a reason a high price tag is put on these tricks... so everyone who wants it, wont get it as easy as an ice cream cone at the corner market.

  • @californiamagician also because the coins are handcrafted and very difficult to make. a single single regular quality " [ " is already 35$ and he has a lot of em

  • 100 bucks

  • This is nuts... gotta be gimmicked to high heaven though.

  • Is this for sale?

  • yeah...it's $1000.00 on deans site.

  • j'adore

  • Dean is a true gentleman, and an even better Human being... and Yes I feel incredibly lucky

having known him personally since I was a young Pup. A True Mentor, and incredible performer with style and a class his own! Dont tell him I said these things or it may go to his head! :)

  • You are a lucky guy, californiamagician. Dean Dill is a great mind and artist, and this creation takes chink-a-chink to another level.

I can do the first and second part, just the chink-a-chink without "coin explosions", and the reactions have been incredible. :)

    (sorry for any bad english)

  • blah it is camera i se!!!

  • You need to see this in person with NO CAMERAS,

you also need a good english and spelling class, because you cant spoke right.

  • "sorry for my english"

    |Very nice trick|

    There you happy now?!

  • So that is what they call perfection... wow...

    I think I need a new haircut anyways :D

  • damn i want this trick so bad but cost way to much

  • Un-freakin'-believable! IMO this is some of the best of magic: Simple, powerful, nothing flashy, but mind-bending as hell.

  • Gosh fantastic...isnt this misers dream at the end?

  • You can not get this on a video, it's a trick. It uses great gimmicked coins and not the classic palm. You can buy the needed coins at Deans website, if you have 1000 or 1800 dollars left.

  • Thank you very much for tearing apart the whole mistery aura on his performance.

  • Oh come on, you didn't realy think it was possible to just make coins appear. That would be magic! I only anwered a question. By the way there are other places to get cheaper or better coins for this trick.

  • No you moron, this IS magic...

Magic is what you see and believe in...

if you keep telling the secrets evolving this, it will no longer be a magic and will be "just a trick"

By telling the secret you destroy the illusion...and the illusion is what makes us feel great and not the secret of the trick...

if we wanted to know how to do it, we would have done the question personally

    Got it??

  • Why do you call me a moron? Schouting is a sign of weakness. In my opinion, if you are naïve enough to think there is real magic, you might not want to read comments anymore, a lot is revealed there. We live in a real world with real people, real coins and science, if you do not get that, I don't think it is my problem.

  • Do you call yourself a magician??

  • Yes I do. I'm a close-up magician, card manipulator, juggler, musician and hypnotist. I don't think the fact that we both think diffently will change that.

  • Ok, you, as a MAGICIAN should know as well that magic tricks should never be revealed...

it ruins the "mistery aura" as Bigodon said...

And yes, we think very differently...

  • Doesnt surprise me coming from someone who calls himself "CardXtreme" and doesn't even know basic philosophci concepts involved into the Magic Arts.

  • you noob...he asked you if ur a magician...not musician juggler or hypnotist...and uhh...so much of a magician you are

  • Plying the piano (Chopin and stuff like that) trains my fingers better then any hand excercize I know. Juggling can very well be used in combination with a dancing cane and it helps whith some card moves. I use covert hypnosis and NLP all the time during my shows to make my routines more powerfull and distract people from the things I don't want them to see. If you didn't understand that, I think your the noob

  • well dur i know that for the time i have been doing magic. but the question was just simply magician or not...

  • F off, asshole!

  • go mind ur own busniess

  • the thing is...DO YOU?!

You should stick up to Music or Gardening. Magic is not the Art for you, honey.

    @UCHIHAmanji

    Amen!

  • uhhh do you know how freaking good quality his coins are?

  • Lassen's coins are better.

  • of course lassen's coins are better...but dean's set are still pretty damn good quality....plus dean has mutiple you know what that fits over each other perfectly

  • Better!!! I think not. They are made by Schoolcraft and they are beautiful.

  • wat 1 of his videos is this effect on?

  • dood..i want his coins!!! can i steal them?? JEEZZ!!!

  • That was beyond good. Kudos! God Bless you friend!

  • oh hey ur really good at classic palm/s i could prooly do that a mointh from now with some mistakes but like yester day i started practicing it

  • coin matrix with shells?

  • shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow, it only costs a $1000... good gawd, I'm glad though, custom made, and it only is accessible to the truly deserving.

  • WTF!!!! Thanks so much for posting this!!!! Dificulty level??? hahaha

    I'll think about it...

  • haxzor lol jk

  • Great effect! Just wondering if there is anywhere i can learn that. It would be a great addition to my routine.

  • After watching waaay too many, uh, magician's videos (I should be practicing), Durn Dean, that made my day. Also, thanks to your, I now only do one card effect in my routine, and haven't had as much fun performing a sleight since I got my first Adams set. Thanks!

  • Is there any way you can teach me that?

  • Just a great illusion-even better than the fruit cup illusion you performed for us at your dad's special event a few years ago. Mike Gale
