If you knew anything about synths jordangrant, you'd know that as they evolved, "phatter" sounds were made by layering synth sounds, this piece of equiptment is highly capable of making "wobble bass" patches. To be fair, the bass isnt that nasty anyway...pretty weak infact

its a bit of a noob-ish question, but how do you link up the kp3 to an emx then to a computer for recording ?

I believe he is using logic for the wobble bass on the mac. To be honest I should have thought about it before posting becuase logic is quite a commonly used program. Meh

my guess is he runs the EMX through his KP2. i'm not an expert sein as i dont own an EMX or a KP2 but a similar effect can be created using the MiniKP and a MicroKORG and they all use similar editing. :D

Bass notes are spot on, its just the actual sound I have wrong.

Theres a few to-do vids on the MK if you are inetested, its very similar to the XL

i have a BR- 600, is that similar? i know its proberly better, but is a recorder basicly?

in essence, no. you could produce something like this using the br-600 but it would be a completely different process as you would have to record each part in the exact position you wanted, whereas on the EMX you can loop recordings and start and stop them whenever you wish. The drum machine on the br-600 is good but limited compared to that of the EMX, basically there are massive differences, but a song like the above is achievable on the br-600, with a very different approach.
