Keep going but stop playing like your reading out of the real book; smooth it out, too choppy. Relax, take your time make some mistakes on purpose, straighten up a bit, play with the time don't play all the time really listen and swallow what the other cats are playing and feed off them; then your on your way to jazz. Chow!

You should really fix your posture; you have pretty clear tone, but try to warm it up with some vibrato.

@captainstaceylee Yeah, I posted these vids when I first started flute. I taught myself. Just after the first set of comments rolled in, I changed the way that I play and I do the same thing when I meet up with other flutes. :D

Hold your arms out a bit from your body, sit forward in your chair, and hold your flute straight out from your body. This will be more comfortable for your right arm, will allow you to breathe better and give you better tone and intonation.

Yeah OK first of all, the second your right arm touches your side, you should freak out. Your posture was awful, and TRUST ME it will hurt you after a while.

Second, try learning some vibrato and increase your dynamic range; it will make the piece not so boring, and I won't have to skip 40 seconds of the video...

Third, try a more challenging piece. Don't waste your time on something that simple please.

And lastly, maybe take some lessons?

Thanks for your comment, and also those on my other vids. I have improved greatly on my flute, but I haven't had any time to post anything...or even get anything ready to post. I will try to post something when I can, so I can show you, and others that I have taken your advice. Thanks so much!
