good goal,very close though.looks like the blade of his stick is pointing up, above the crossbar, but as the puck makes contact with it, it is turning down, making it just at crossbar height...if they called no goal, that would have been a worse call than allowing it.

It counts because the call on the ice was a goal, and although it seems in one of the replays that the stick was high, the evidence needs to be 100% in disproving the call on the ice. There was no solid view of the play that showed the stick contact so the call on the ice stands.

the stick was slanted upward his stick blade was above the crossbar, but where the puck mad contact with the stick was lower then the blade....it hit on his shaft and that looked to be even with the crossbar, therefore its a GOAL!

Granted we got screwed by Carolina refs and Vancover refs this year (i'm not a leafs fan) I wanna point out that the quality that toronto saw may have been better from this view there is no conclusive evidence to say high sticking. And if the original call was goal then it must stand. and it's way to blurry on here to tell if it was a goal or a high stick

While I agree that this is the wrong call, the blame can't be placed on the referees on ice here. The review process takes place in the "war room" in Toronto and it seems basic math escapes them. I've seen so many goals that were clearly hit with a high stick allowed I wonder why they even both reviewing them. Kicking motion also escapes me. I've seen Lupul kick a goal in and have it count, and earlier this week Crosby clearly kicked a puck in. All NHL officiating is inconsistent and sucks.

its impossible to tell. Especially the last replay with the best view possible. You can see how right before the puck was going up and higher than the crossbar, a player gets in the way and you cant see it. if it was originaly ruled goal, then they cant change the it and vice verca.
