  • Hey you should give us the tabs in your tuning, it's not easy to figure it out !!

    Thanks!

  • Wow really impressed dude, always wanted to be able to play this song!

  • great cover of Fogarty's tune !

  • Nice to see someone approach these songs right, and tuning down a whole step as Fogerty did on some of his songs (anything with that black Les Paul). Goes MILES toward making it sound more like the record...you hit that big "E" shape chord (but it sounds like a D, pitch-wise) and you're halfway there.

Now you can play "Proud Mary", "Cross Tie Walker", "Bad Moon Rising", "Fortunate Son", "The Midnight Special", etc. and they sound REALLY good that way, with all the "ringing" and growl.

  • I know just what you mean. I kinda wish I would have kept the black epiphone and put some heavier strings on it and left it in D tuning all the time. But the Gibson lp i have now still sounds really good tuned down when I want to play the songs you mentioned/

  • thanks a lot - this is a great jam. Your tone is pretty tasty, too!

  • thats awesome. my absolute favorite ccr song. :)

  • Thanks! One of my favorites too.

  • Fuckin sweet mate, keep them coming

  • Brilliant...you got this song perfect. I suppose you dont have the tab for this one either? :P Are you playing in Drop D?

  • yes its in drop D. Its really easy. You just play the song like its an E chord with a little pentatonic scale mixed in. The chords during the bridge are C G D A D (played in drop D)

  • YES!

  • Awesome!
