  • I like you work. Very nice.

  • Uh, maybe people assumed it was haunted because 10 people have died there? The family of a government official in the 1800's(murdered), a family of five in the 1900's(suicide) and the death of the last owner(suicide)

  • nice painting, soak it in water, roll it up, freeze it, and stick it up ur arse

  • Nice painting :)

  • awesome painting. I have driven by this house but unfortunately have not been inside. I have several videos of me exploring other abandoned houses, including one that's rumored to be haunted in my area, you should check it out! The first time I went there, a voice told me to get out but no one was around...

  • Good job.

  • BTW, as someone who has had a lifetime interest in hunting down ghost towns, I think you have the talent to do beautiful paintings of them that capture their mood. If you haven't done so, you might want to think about giving it a try. There are tons of books and websites that have excellent drawings and photographs that could be used as as a basis for paintings. Again, thanks for this video. It brings back memories of my year of exploring the outskirts of Lancaster.

  • Nice painting and thank you for posting this. Coincidentally, I lived in Lancaster for one year when I was about 12. I remember another abandonded mansion outside of town that was also supposedly haunted. It had it's one cemetery with a stone wall around it. Of course, I never believed such nonsense and youa re right that people often assume that abandonded houses are haunted but the stories are fun and imaginative for kids. Thanks again.

  • well thanks for sharing and your kind comment : )

  • i live 5 min fro the house, its kinda sacary at night but in the day its peaceful, but not structly sound though :(

  • thats very well done! heres a werid story, i had NEVER heard about this house, and then one day out of nowhere i had adream about it and the legends about the house such as about the kids etc. and i was told it was the hartman house, i searched, hartman haunted, and sure enough this house came up, really freaky in the sense i had never heard about it before and had a dream about it!!

as for jennie mast refusing offers, maybe she wasnt offered the right amount.

  • thanks for the cool comment. Pehaps you're right about the owner, or maybe she wanted it for sentimental value.

  • its been abandunt for over 74 yrs

    get your facts right lady!!

  • wow well done! I never was very artistic

  • If that is your own artwork, you capture the elegance of the building very well.

After watching the youtube video I didn't the slavery going was so nice nor the dead family, sad. At least some history was left behind that we could read about and see from that era.

  • The best architecture came from between 1870 - 1920. I love the 19th century town houses. In many places these houses out last the prime of cities like Detroit where some local district were thinking some reconverting neighbor hoods back into farmland useing the same houses the stood before the original farm land was built on. So long as I had cola and modern computing I would at home in 1909. This was also during the church age of brotherly love, passionate christians were giving and growing.
