yeah pretty much. Spaniards slur their speech somewhat, if you listen to jose mourinho or cristiano ronaldo talk (ie normal voices, not news reporter style voices) you'll hear that their speech is almost a lazy dialect, with soft b's (like b meets v) and d's (like "th")

Okay, fair enough on that point. But was i wrong about the whole "lazy dialect" point? it's similar. Spaniards talk a little more properly than, say, the Dominicans (and i do know what i'm talking about here because i work with a lot of people from dominican republic)...anyway, rambling here. If you're spanish, then please, you give the lessons... i only know basic spanish.

Yes you're right, they pronounce "v" like "b" and "d" like "th".In Portuguese, at least the Portuguese from Portugal, that mix up only happens in the north part of the country. The rest of the country kinda mocks them for that. But IIRC their problem is only with B and V. Sorry if I sounded a bit to harsh on my first comment, that wasn't my intention.

El latinoamericano y el castellano es lo mismo... cambia el acento y algunas expresiones, como el ingles de inglaterra y el norteamericano supongo, pero es lo mismo. Enhorabuena por adentrarte en el idioma de Cervantes (no sabes donde te has metido), q ahora es el idioma del football ;)
