  • @theProjectMidnight Check your PM. :)

  • Great vid brothrr

  • Hey, love your videos i've just started working on pipes from scratch, I'm working with cherry wood untill i feel much more comfortable with my work...no point in wasting good briar just yet. looking forwad to more vids!

  • Do you have a video of your pipe collection? I see something in the cabinet that looks like it might be wild. If so, could I get a link to see them?

  • @SqueakerT Yes, I did one a while back (august 2010) called "My Pipes - Homage to Tim & Nico".

  • @Flieger671 In the cabinet top left near the middle there is a large looking pipe standing up that I did not see in the video. What kind of pipe is it?

  • @SqueakerT Ah, that one! It's a Jirsa 107. Look for my video called "A new family member - Czech it out!" for a feature.

  • 5:40 methinks that needs replacing.

  • @7poppasmurf7 Hahaha! It's the bearings on my power drill that's shot.

    Cheers,

    - Mike

  • @Flieger671 Lol, ok, after posting I considered that problem as well. Regardless, excellent series. Thanks a bunch for the help.

  • Keep up the good work, you are helping a lot of fellow pipe smokers around the world.Congratulations!

  • Looking forward to seeing these tools in action and the finished results.

    Cheers

  • great vid!

  • @misterishii Thank you Sir!

  • Is there like video game sounds in this video or am i hearing things?

  • @TristownDynamite I don't know... I used AudioSwap and a track called "Special Event". No clue if it's from a game... sorry.

    -Mike

  • Thanks a lot for sharing this Mike, is not the same without the vid, I was very scared to find another podcast (ha ha ha!!).

I definitely fav this one, for future reference!

    Harvey

  • @hjrosasq Thanks Harvey. Nah, I think my podcasting days are over. :)

Glad you decided to check it out to see if I was back on track!

    Cheers,

    -M

  • These spinning nozzles fascinate and drive me crazy ! Just in case I will add this video to my favorites, you never know what you will do next year...;-)

    Very very very informative video!

    Cheers mate

    Igor

  • @ZubrisLV LOL! I'm sorry the spinning bits troubled you. I thought that fotage would add some life to my video (I'm stiff as a board).

Thanks for checking it out Igor.

    -Mike

  • Flieger, its been some time since I last saw your vides, thank you for showing us this! I am a woodcarver, recently made an native american Orca shaped pipe, and painted it black and white, with only a drill like the one you showed

  • @condorlegion89 Thanks for your comment. Wow! That pipe sounds interesting. Did you make a video of it?

    Cheers.

  • @Flieger671 Greetings friend,

Its a good idea to make a video, I will take pictures of it, and will make one, of course it will not look as good as this live video but it will be something ha

  • @condorlegion89 Thank you. I'm looking forward to see that.

    Cheers,

    -Mike

  • Order is indeed restored.

Really looking forward to this series Mike.

Hope everything is going well and we'ill see pipes flying off the Flieger production line.

As soon as it gets a bit warmer in my garage I am going to try casting my own rod. I'll try to get it on camera for you.

    Take care mate,

    Dean

  • @dohngl Thank you Dean. I'm pretty sure you are already past these types of videos. ;) I'm really looking forward to follow your casting process. If that goes well, I'm soon to follow that path.

    Cheers mate,

    -Mike

  • @OrchestralPipe Thanks watching Jon! Appreciate your comment.

    -Mike

  • Thanks for the info. I've been favoriting a lot of pipe carving videos for future reference. I'm hoping to try and carve one before farming starts next spring. Great video, I look forward to the next one.

  • @PipePedaler Thanks! Yes, I'm very happy to see that there are a number of videos on this topic out there now. When I started with my first pipe kit they where almost non existant. I hope you'll document your own pipe carving project when you get started.

    Cheers,

    -Mike

  • Interesting video, Mike! I'm looking forward to this series of vids!

    Hope you're well.

    Arko

  • @Pipepoet Thanks Arko. I'm fine and I hope you are too. Looking forward to more videos from your channel.

    Cheers mate,

    -M

  • Very interesting, Mike. Can I buy one of your pipes for $9.99 with free shipping? hahahaha..... ;)

    ~D

  • @Naturainfinity Thanks Donna. $9.99 will be a bit hard for me to meet since I've spent more then that on materials alone... But don't worry, there will be a special price for the YT-crowd.

    Cheers,

    -M

  • how is it that we always carve a pipe together on opposite sides of the globe?? mine will be here friday to start...

  • @genericsoul Mmm... I really don't have a good answer to that.... maybe it's part of the butterfly effect? ;) Looking forward to seeing what you do with your next pipe project.

  • Micke!

Jag vänta redan pa nästa video.

    Take care.

    Olle

  • @snuggan1 Bra Olle. Jag ska försöka skynda på med den.

    Ha det!

  • Thank you for making these videos !

  • @BartholomeauxJames Thanks for watching mate.

  • Would it be possible to get this video in podcast format. Its really annoying to have to look at the video. I would much rather you just describe it in detail with just a still picture of a mountain side or something.

In all seriousness, I'm excited about this. A topic I've been researching lately. Thanks Mike!

  • @joelwashburn LOL! I feel that the podcast format is dead, but I'm going to try and get Mollophant to do an interpretive dance format of this series... hopefully with new music from Orchestralpipe and Puffpuffponder. :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • @Flieger671 haha, I wait for that video with great anticipation!

  • Good video...looking forward to seeing this series. Thanks!

  • @Fenianboyo Thank you for watching sir.

  • Very informative thank you, I look forward to the new videos

  • @maffers7087 Thank you very much sir.

  • Great information Mike! Looking forward to this series. I'm hoping at some point in the series, you'll include something about using adhesives for a shank ring (between the briar shank and stem) wether it be wood or another material such as aluminum and how that process is done.

    Cheers.

P.S. Glad to see this series will be in video format ; )

  • @astroman2112 Thank you James. I will definetely adress the topic of adhesives at some point. But the general concept is - 2-part Epoxi and make sure the surfaces are clean and (in the case of metals and plastics) rugged, to get a good grip. Put under pressure until joint is fully cured before working on the pipe.

    Cheers.

P.S. This episode will also be released in Morse code. :)

  • @Flieger671 LOL, Thanks Mike appreciate the info.

    Cheers

  • Excellent video! Thanks for sharing!

  • @xDIK86x Thanks for watching!

  • I'm sure you've been researching and studying alot, Mike. This journey of yours is getting more and more interesting and I'm trully excited about the Flieger pipes to come.

    All the best,

    Gustavo

  • @RequiemPipes Yes I have Gustavo. Pipe making isn't something you can just throw yourself into. I'm very happy to see that people enjoy following my steps into this area. Thanks for watching my friend!
