Good lord I hate Joey Mazzarino's elephant voice! The one-off elephant voices of Dave Goelz and David Rudman were so much better.

And also, I think the elephant was much better when it was just a large hand puppet.

You need to understand that Elmo can be pretty entertaining when he wants to. Have you seen the interviews he does on talk shows? If not, you should cheek them out on YouTube.

BTW, what interviews with Elmo have you seen? And what was your favorite part in those interviews? Just wondering.

All I remember offhand is one when Kevin Clash was being interviewed by Katie Couric (I think that's who it was, anyway), and of course, he had Elmo with him. I remember Katie asking Elmo what he thought of Kevin, and he replied "Elmo isn't going to fire him just yet".

I saw that interview, that part was funny! But, it was Matt Lauer, not Katie Couric. Unless, of course, that interview you're talking about was before Kevin's book came out, then I think you're right.
