Modest Mouse sound-alike? Dear God, it never ceases to amaze me how tin people's ears are. I'm not even a big fan of either band. But I can at least distinguish that the two don't sound anything alike. NOTHING alike at all. Moronic description.

It definitely is another sound, but if you listen to Modest Mouse's earlier stuff (Sad Sappy Sucker, The Fruit That Ate Itself, etc.) you can hear some similar styles, mainly with guitars and drums, but occasionally even vocally. I'll admit that their voices are greatly different though.
