Tootoo obviously wasnt scared to fight last night. He tried to get Shelley to fight several times and he wouldn't so Tootoo started checking everyone as hard as he could. You could tell the Sharks started hearing footsteps after that and started coughing up pucks left and right. The Preds are asking the NHL to look into this fight. Although there is no existing rule about using elbows "extreme fighting style" to the head I almost guarantee there will be one by next season. If this had been Modano instead of Tootoo the commish would have been all over these cheap shots like a fly on shit. I guarantee Tootoo won't let this happen again. If the NHL won't do anything about it I bet Tootoo starts adopting the elbow punch for just such losers like Staubitz.

Call me a moron all you want. I have been a season ticket holder for ten years here and 10 years when I lived in Vancouver. I have played and watched hockey for over 32 years. So, I am no idiot when it comes to hockey. All I was saying again, was that a few of the blows, the elbow pad follows through and hits Tootoo in the face, plain and simple. Hockey elbow pads are huge in case you did not know that and go a good ways down the forearm. Watch the Nashville feed for a different angle.

Guys, I am not joking. Staubitz does connect with many fists to Jordin's face, but a few of the fists goes by his face, and then the forearm and elbow pad area connect with his face as well. If you know anything about hockey elbow pads they are over a foot in length from end to end. Made of hard plastic and padding that run a good 6-8 inches down on the forearm. Watch the replay again un-biased if you can and you will see his forearm connect a few times in a row right smack on Tootoos face.
