Well I think in this case its a little different because the expats/ whites were practically forced to leave the country after apartheid ended and didnt leave the country on their own mind. So It would be fair to give them a right to vote in the government or at least reparation for damages caused.

We should all just turn up on mass at the SA embassys and demand our vote. We are still citizens even if we are out of the country for a little while. I really, really want to vote this year but I suppose if you are South African you would not be surprised at the decision. Our liberties are always being trampled on by these government bullies.

Well I think in this case its a little different because the expats/ whites were practically forced to leave the country after apartheid ended and didnt leave the country on their own mind. So It would be fair to give them a right to vote in the government or at least reparation for damages caused.

Fair enough, but then surely someone who contributes negatively to a country's economy (prisoners) should not be allowed to vote, especially when they obviously don't respect the law of that country. If prisoners couldn't vote I don't think it would be that unfair that expats couldn't either.

Honestly I think that it wont change anything...Political life in Africa in general is very different from the West. If you have the means to intimidate, and the ANC does, then you can control the populace.
And whats to say that they are truthful ? Uncorrupted ? Come on this is Africa.
Maybe they just have good slogans to get elected and are just like the ANC which didnt keep any promises.
Or maybe they are truthful and good. But the chances are slim.

I am happy to disagree. My opinion is that although morally colonialism was wrong, it was right in terms of efficiency. Whites only incorporated a tribal, agricultural africa, into a global economy. In the age of colonialism, colonies were jewels europeans were proud of. Now everyone knows what the continent has become. History is a witness.

I think it would matter if africa would disappear because a lot of valuable resources are in Africa such as gold, uranium, diamonds, and let's not forget tantalium that allows the cell phones to shrink the size they currently are. And that is also the reason why Africa is so messed up.

Every continent in the world was like that once. Africans just didnt use their country right. That is the reason why the continent is still rich in resources.
That was also one of the main ideologies behind colonialism and why we whites build all the infrastructure of Africa.
Not saying its right, but the fact is, Zimbabwe was better off before it raped and killed their white farmers. In fact they were a major grain producer and not they are left with nothing, except unskilled blacks in farms.

I tried moving to South Africa to be with my wife, and i could not find a job, i didnt get 1 interview. I have gone though my GCSE, 2 college course 3 years at university doing Information Technology and have 3 years in Retail System experience and I couldnt get a job. Had to return the UK. I love South Africa, wish the best for the country and it gets itself sorted. then maybe i will try returning.
