The war in Bosnia was brutal. They didn't care about Geneva Conventions( I don't think they even heard about them) Rape was the instrument of the war. It is estimated that more then 50 000 Bosnian women were raped. This movie is very hard to watch and there are parts were you might even close your eyes...

This movie is a waste, and its awful and I dont EVER want to watch it. Those who say its outstanding, shame on all of. Is it outstanding that many men, children and women died, that many were raped, that many lives were ruined. ? Tell me is it? Cause I think not. shame on you for thinking that.. all of you.
@123bosnianqueen But isnt raising awareness outstanding? making sure people and cultures who have no idea about these kind of atrocities are made aware? Thats what people are lauding, not death and rape. Society learns nothing by forgetting things we find distasteful or inconvenient, and i think it is a shame that you judge a movie that i believe was made with sincerity before you have seen it. The biggest risk of things like this happening again is ignorance, and nobody should promote that.
People should NEVER FORGET about the war and movies about that is a great way to keep reminding people what happened in our beautiful country. When people say that the movie is outstanding, it means that it's well made and that it perfectly tells what happened during the war. They don’t think it’s outstanding that people died, but that they keep living in us cuz of movies like this! I think that’s why they focus on terrible things like that, so that they never leave our minds.
So other countries couldn't help during the war all they did was stand there and watch as millions died, suffered, and were raped, etc. Now movies are being made about the the war, whats the point it's not going to change what happened in Bosnia. Its not going to change and bring back the ones who lost their lives. Make movies that show more things that happened during 1992-1995. there was more then just rape, more then just this. People need to know wht REALLY happened during that time.
You're all talking as if this took place a hundred years ago. Around 20 000 rape children (just for Bosnia) are about 16 years old today. That's a lot of angry people growing up. We're going to have plenty of explaining to do. Especially after a 1945 Nuremberg law stating that humans would never let this happen again.
even if she didnt talk much you learn a lot in the movie ... what is wrong and what is even more wrong ... my grandmother told me the stories when she was in the war zone and believe it was much worse what they did to women and children ....
i LOVED the movie because it really tells alot .... even after so many years people suffer from nightmares and cant sleep cause of people's acts in the war ... i think they should like ... die ...
