  • Presenter: Cute/hot, whatever. Knows a bit about Jakarta, English is ok, still got some Indonesian accent and some grammar errors. Jakarta: blame the writers/producers and Jakarta itself. Jakarta is basically just an old city where it tries to be modern+packed with 8 million people, half the size of Los Angeles. I live in Jakarta and I actually dont think it has what it takes to be an exciting city. It doesnt have that unique identity. So tourists: go to Flores or Gili Trawangan.

  • @mikjing jakarta sucks dude. It's polluted, filled with uneducated bums who treat the streets like their personal toilet. Its dirty as fuck, slums and sewage , trash everywhere. Rivers filled with Shit, scum. The air you breathe is unhealthy. Trafic is basically 2 inches from each side of you. Corrupted as fuck too. The government needs to fix the infrastructure, so it won;t look like a garbage dump and control the millions of cars that are stuck in traffic everyday

  • Dear atiqah - thank you for quite an informative tour. I liked it.

  • thank u so much

  • lucky bike taxi man hope he did not charge her ..........

i would have paid her instead

    pretty girl

  • damn that hostess is fine.

  • man if this is the perfect day in jakarta, she must be missing a whole lot of stuff during her trip or visit there.

  • @devotedViolet For being a perfect day, it's not very attractive, not very interesting, not very fun...not very well done for a tourist, at least for western people (for asian tourists maybe). In fact the most beautiful "thing" you can see is the lovely hostess. I don't know Indonesia, but I'm sure there are more interesting and attractive things to see and do in Jakarta.

  • @juliojgr19 i'm from jakarta.. and this is not interesting at all. not even one eightth of it. the hostess are not pretty either.

  • thank you for sharing!! this is very helpful im going to jakarta in dec

  • I've seen similar program on AFC. It shows it is quite common in neighbouring countries to eat that food.

  • Thanks for sharing,!!! looks great!!!!

  • at least this video was made for attract tourists, so please don't just judge it, see the positive side and chicken rice also a typical indo food right? you can find it wherever you are in jakarta ;)!

  • 2 dollars for coffee in indonesia ! oh come on :d

  • 2 dollars for coffee in indonesia ! oh come on

  • @dzadzik12 coffee is the cheapest thing in indo, she was in a bit of upmarket coffee house i think. They loveee upmarket even tho nobody can afford it.

  • There is not "fresh water turtles". All turtles live in sea. I suppose you mean tortoises (kura2 & bulus). No, it has nothing to do with chinese bigotry. It is about protecting our OWN natural diversity. By not using protected animals, chinese will secure themselves from such bigotry automatically.

  • @makanmata : let me quote: "Secara internasional, Indonesia termasuk negara yang telah menandatangani CITES [... ]. Indonesia telah meratifikasinya melalui Keputusan Presiden (Keppres) No. 43 Tahun 1978 tentang CITES. Menurut CITES, seluruh penyu termasuk Appendiks I CITES, yang berarti, satwa tersebut dilindungi dan tidak boleh dimanfaatkan karena kondisinya terancam punah. "

  • @rapemap Yes, Indonesia is a party to the CITES convention, and all turtles listed by CITES as being endangered are banned in Indonesia -- as they are in every other country which is a signatory to CITES. CITES however does not list all turtles as endengegered or covered by the Treaty, and certainly does not list most fresh water turtles. Most species are therefore legal in RI, as they are legal in most of the world. Let's not support anti-chinese bigotry by giving credence to such slander.

  • turtle soup?? wth....why turtle????stupid city

  • wow she's beautiful, my coworker is from jakarta and his sister is hot as hell nice body are all woman from Jakarta like this?

  • Logat yang menurut saya merupakan yang menarik. Jakarta mungkin bukan kota yang terbaik yang berada di dunia tapi banyak hal yang baik yang sering orang tidak melihat.

  • jakarta town in real is shitty town

  • @bandote malonsial tahi khinzir.

  • A FAKE perfect day in Jakarta... The real Jakarta city is full of slums and so many poor people. LOL

  • @LedgerTheJoker about poor people.. THATS NOT TRUE .. :P

  • lo i think i just notice when i talk english i have a funny accent

  • I'd be her taxi rider for free!

  • Oke, you're drinking alcohol

  • USD3 for chicken rice? isn't that too much?

  • @JeromeLeong u 've been fooled, 0.7USD is normal price for chicken rice

  • @MrUtuzz Really? But she said its 3US Dollar.

  • China Town? I like Sup Babi. XD

  • you forgot to shoot the traffic and poverty of Jkt.

  • eeeekkk!! turtle soup..not halal!! oh gosh..

  • Hasiholan, she must be from Batak Tribe,

  • that girl is sexy

  • @Dragonathan try and said that when u know/met her mother, ratna sarumpaet....she's a bitch...............!!

  • @jengkollovers u right

  • Wow she is gorgeous! So her name is Atiqah Hasihola and apparently she's a rising star in Indonesia.

  • You guys worry too much, actually we indo people respects bule(foreigner) very very high, criminals here prefer ruin the local more than bule ;p and yeah u can eat rp1000 pancake here, $1.6(rp16000) is too expensive for a pancake. you better asks ur local friends you got here to get a better prices/shops/places. if you dont have it, find 1 will ya ^^ if u need to asks something, i will try to give you info u want ok. oh and not much to see in jakarta except high buildings/lifestyles.

  • The presenter is cute she speak english is very clear but the place she traveling is uninterested, crowd, untidy and mess. I think she has to show better place.

  • @sanlaiwai Jakarta used to be Beautiful city. in Dutch Colonial era, Jakarta(Batavia) always called by European with name "Paris Van Java" which means Paris in Java. the Ducth estabilish many public facilities and make the city beautiful just like many cities in Netherlands, but it was destroyed when independence war. and just after independece Jakarta being invaded by huge population from other indonesian island, and now becoming oen of the densely city in the world! it's so sad....

  • @sanlaiwai she is jakarta stupid

  • @sanlaiwai how? 80 percent of jakarta is crowd, untidy, traffic, filthy, polluted and shitty, I live in jakarta so i know. It's like a large trash can.

  • dont tell me bullshit anymore ( omong kosong luh semua ),, jakarta is the worst city in the world n also the most horrible city in indonesia,, Medan n jogjakarta is much better,,,

  • @MrUtuzz Like you've ever been to all cities in all over the world?? lol

  • @MrUtuzz have u ever been to Delhi & Mumbai? they're 10000 times far worst than Jakarta. we all know Jakarta is polluted (no doubt) and poverty is rising but trust me, when you step your foot on Delhi/Mumbai, you will say different version of it.

I haven't been to Jakarta in quite long time but there are still certain things that keep attracting foreigners to come. good food, good malls. each city has it's own pros and cons. even in US there's also cities that even full of poor people.

  • @wannamlwithu i very sad to hear that, i never go to mumbai but bollywood is better

  • thax Atiqa,nice video

  • carlsson86: When were you last in Jakarta? I wonder where you think you could get pancakes for rp.1600/16c.

I lived in Jakarta most of the time from about 1990 until a few years ago, and was also there last year. Rp.16,000 sounds like a normal price in somewhere like Jaksa. I don't think you'd get more than a few kroepoek for rp1600. Maybe you were there before the rupiah collapsed in the late 90s?

The other prices in the clip sound about right to me.

  • yea why not? just like americans rob americans or chinese rob chinese. when they need money they dont see race.

  • siapa2 yg kenal markoni dari jawa barat, bekas pembantu rumah saya yg baik serta jujur walau berlainan agama, sila msg saya. saya sendiri mnghantarnya pulang 3 thn sebelum ini krn tamat tempoh. saya cuba menghubunginya tapi x dpt. mungkin dia kehabisan wang. dia pernah bekerja dgn saya di kuala lumpur. saya mengambilnya setelah dia lari dari majikan cinanya yg x bayar gaji. saya melayu Islam.

  • such an adorable woman...

  • the price is not right..a little high expensive i think

  • i have been live in jakarta for 20 years,, everything in this video is bullshittt..( omong kosong belaka dan penuh dengan kebohongan ), for tourist n foreigners dont ever visit jakarta,, the trafic is very very horrible, the air smells like your ass n very2 hot like in sauna, crime is very high, poverty is very misserable n no one care about it.... eat turtle is banned in indonesia,, except you can bribe police like this bitch,,, yeah the beaucrats very corrupt., enough i move to borneo

  • @MrUtuzz true. and price...is everything that expensive there now? Banana pancake is US$1.60? its about 16,000 Rupiahs. i think its 0.16 US cents which is about 1,600 Rupiahs.

  • dont eat my turtle noooo

  • she's seriously hot but the video as not quality, it sucks! And a turtle soup? who the fuck is this woman?!?!?

  • perfect day is with you in a hotel.

  • even as a bule, I wouldn't have spent my day eating turtle soup and drinking beer in an expat bar. I'd prefer to do what jakartans do.maybe get some breakfast from a sate stall and and after lunch eat some serabi and then shop for batik or any indonesian souvenir instead of old colonialist antiques.

  • i wanna go to batavia cafe again. the homemade ice cream taste hella good there :)

  • @Tommydudez low concept provoke and boring.please stop :)

  • This girls is so Ignorant. Can you believe anyone would eat Turtle soup - shes an environmental vandal and should be deeply ashamed of herself. She has shown you all the most cliched boring parts of Jakarta, and has eaten something that a typical Jakartan would not eat . Indonesia is suffering the largest reductions in turtles globally from the illegal turtle trade and she stuffs her face with it. Its disgusting behavior for an educated Indonesian.

  • I never been into any of these places even i was born in Jakarta (except for Glodok). Seriously dude, this is not jakarta as people should know...there are bunch of other places for tourist, which offer a lot more interesting stuff rather than just a turtle soup.

  • seriously, i think i'm in love with the host..haha cantik banget dah..

  • @blaz3d85..its normal man... like here we sell weed 2/3 times normal price for all tourists...

    ackstagePimp Amsterdam

  • wah how come everything is so expensive, in US$ wtf?

  • i love it. i wish i could go there.

  • io mar org manado makang b2 dgn erwe.sadapp

  • The lovely hostess is beautiful...cantik sekali - I really love her!!!

  • @wideeyewonder - she is an actress and OMG!!! I didn't remember that Jakarta has sooo many bicycle before!?!? n0w is soooooooo traffic ~.~ and I never knew it has such a big no. of unique stuffs in it LOL~~

    I lived there for 12years and I only know malls~~~ xD!! and it has changed~~ a LOT!! >now~< ^u^

  • heeeyy good job!

  • manadonese does not eat Turtles, I know coz im manadonese..

  • Good morning, Atiqah!!

  • atiqah hasiholan?

  • be sure you ask. some are tranny and can look just as well!

  • Can someone tell me the background track that starts after 42 seconds. Thanks.

  • that is in front of batavia cafe

  • She travel in Jakarta but da food she's showin is not really what a typical Indo will eat....might be better if she start her breakkie with some bubur ayam or ketoprak :p

  • @zitaboo hello there.. what is bubur ayam and ketoprak??

I'd gladly to know that from an Indonesian like you, if I'm not mistaken, :-)

actually, I really wanna go there in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta.. but some of my friends dicouraged me to do so.. there's so many bad men in Jakarta, is that true??

anyway, I really love your country..

    From, JAPAN ^_^

  • @skywardjapan hi there...bubur ayam is chicken rice soup. it's very thick. sometimes they call it porridge or chicken porridge. its good. ketoprak is a mix of veggies with spicy peanut sauce and chips. indonesian chips of course.

criminality rate is very high there. just be careful. do not wear too many jeweleries in public. none if u can. avoid dead places. look for Blue Bird Taxi. its usually safer than any other taxis. or u can ride Busway. the train sucks there so i dont recommend it.

  • @carlsson86 wow. i see.. i wanna eat bubur ayam. i love chicken. i love soup and i love rice. all in one lol.

I read about the Transjakarta busway, and it looks like a train. looks so cool.. and about the saftey in Jakarta, i felt sad for about what you just said.. But what would happen if I worn many jewelries?

I really wanted to visit Jakarta.. especially the foods.

  • @skywardjapan well simple. you'll get robbed. you know many people suffer from poverty there. so dont grab their attention to rob you. and the prices here are all wrong. its like 10x more expensive. example, it says US$1.60. its like 16,000 rupiahs. it cant be that expensive. if it was 0.16 cents which is about 1,600 rupiahs, that sounds right. obviously they're bad in math. i rode Transjakarta once, wasnt bad.

  • @carlsson86 I see.. well, if ever I'll be going there, I need to have an Indonesian friend who knows the local prices, lol..

But do the people in Jakarta also robs their fellow Indonesian?

  • @zitaboo well she says shes in jakarta's chinatown. its a typical chinese food there. except for turtle soup. i didnt know they had that. i wouldnt eat it anyway.

  • @zitaboo lol enak bubur ayam

  • Turtle soup??? Turtles are protected in Indonesia. That must be illegal!!

  • it is, but some people still eat it.like manadonese food,it has one menu in which has turtle as main ingredient

  • If The Turtle you mean is the yellow-tailed then it is protected. Not all family species of turtle are protected in Indonesia.

  • @rapemap how about dog meat??

  • @TamilTigerRulZ: taste like your mom's meat....

  • @satch2006 u can suck my dick after i bang ur mom anus

  • @TamilTigerRulZ: i'm not gay like you. my mom is not in malaysia, so i doubt you can bang her.... nice try tho.... plus you have AIDS.

  • @TamilTigerRulZ

never heard that dog is protected under the law everywhere. some dog-meat seller (cooked) can be found in Jkt. No problem. I dont eat it, though.

  • @rapemap You're right

  • @rapemap This is incorrect. There are many different kinds of turtle, the vast majority of which are not in any way endangered or protected. Turtle is a common and traditional food in many parts of Indonesia.

  • @makanmata All turtles are protected by law. I suppose what you mean by "different kinds of turtle" is actually certain tortoises (such as "bulus"). While turtles (incl their eggs) are eaten traditionally in certain parts of Indonesia (e.g. Bali), that is still against the current law.

  • @rapemap I don't know what law you are referring to, but would be interested to know a citation to it. In fact, most turtles in Java and Bali are farmed, and sold, and eaten out in the open. The only kind of "turtle" that I am aware of that is protected is the Loggerhead Sea Turtle. You might be referring to the fact that turtle sold as a Chinese remedy was banned by Suharto, as was all Chinese medicine, and I think that these kinds of rumours continue as an anti-Chinese slur.

  • @rapemap It's not a "Big Turtle". kind of small turtle and actually you can easily find in Jakarta.

  • @afs200vr Those are supposedly "bulus" or "labi-labi" (soft-shelled turtles). See "bulus" article in indonesian wikipedia for more information.

  • Turtle soup and seaweed juice is not exactly Jakartan... neither is beer... nice vid nonetheless.

  • Very wicked!

  • Hi Atiqah....

Can i make friend with you?

  • Copet itu apa si bahasa ingrisnya... hehehe

  • Pickpocket
