  • Don't these guys know how to open cans?

  • Was that a clean room suit the opener was wearing? XD

  • Oh for the love of... if you're gonna eat it, read into to how the fuck you open a can :P

The reactions are brilliant tho XD and I love the person standing with full safety gear.

  • Why they eat that stuff ?

  • I've seen less protective gear on those Fukushima workers :P

  • Swedish people are so fucked up :D I cant understand why they eat that shit

  • noooooooo, ewwwwww

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • is a Hazmat suit really necessary ?

  • why make it in the first place

  • @kanatapaw The fish actually tastes really good, if you eat it right, just opening the can and eating it is not how you do it...

  • thor she blows

  • how much is it in sweden? how come people would interest in buying it !?!

  • bare svensker som kan finne på å spise noe sånt

  • @Brynjard77X Bara en ytters liten del svenskar skulle jag säga. Jag är inte en del av den gruppen.

  • These are the exact cans that we buy every year.

  • ahahahahahahhahahhahahaha

  • HAha look at these japs...

    Wearing raincoats n shit..

    Ridiculos as usual

  • the most disgusting food in the world. ew ewewewewewew the worst smell ever

  • this is good and there is kinda like raw little duck looking right?

  • HAHAHA

  • Man, I love it. It is too delicious....

  • It's rotten fish, it taste awful. It's just disgusting and pretty damn horrible.

  • It tastes great :D

Open it under water and wash the small pieces of herring. Serve in a glass jar with some water in it. Potatoes, herring and some butter in a roll of "thin bread" with some milk is a great way to start the midsummer morning.

  • @Kinjamaimai

Why? Thats not why it was bought! The only reason any foreigner would buy it is to smell the thing. No one really wants to eat the crap!

  • @Kinjamaimai Thank god I thought I was the only one whi loved this xD

  • @Kinjamaimai Fuck that i tried it with my dad when i was over in sweden for xmas and i nearly threw up :O

  • its not rotten :P

  • I've had it four times. It is very nasty indeed, but the real reason it exists is to get to the schnapps shots early and often. Never eat ahole fillets, Do like the Swedish, roll it up in the bread, with onions, sour cream and potatoes; and maybe, with luck, you can get and keep it down.

  • Is that bio-Harzard? Why that guy wear the biochemical protection clothing

  • it is supposed to open the can under water...

  • Mmmm that is so good

  • LOL looks like the guy is wearing some sort of chemical protection suit, but unfortunately he doesn't wear a gas mask too...

  • I think it can be said it is a dish

    best opened and/or enjoyed upwind!

  • Oh no...That looked like a big shower of fishy-whiff that shot out of the can! Noo! RUN AWAY! XD Brilliant stuff- thankyou for sharing it with us!

  • I heard that the fish tastes good though.

Well, if you eat it with a bunch of other good tasting stuff though :P

  • You should open the can under water så the fluids don´t sprey you.

It it does, you can say godbye to you social life, hahahahaha.

Very very hard to get the smell of. Worse then skunk-piss. I am from sweden and hate that dish. The word "sur" can be directly procounced in english as Sour.

Surströmming=sour herring. My entire family is from the Northen parts of Sweden and they love to eat that shit. Every year they open that can, I go and hide in the woods. ugh.

  • Uhmmmmm... coming from you, sir, that sounds

pretty valid that you say... that stuff stinks.

My condolences about the odor of it.

  • Actually, if you DO get it on your clothes, wash skin and/or with lemons or some other very sour liquid from the supermarket, sour liquids are great at neutralizing odors like these and comes off fairly easy later on.

Strong vinegar works too, don't get it in your eyes though!

  • @Gronamintar Yeah man that is fucking horrible. I put the word surströmming into google translate and it translated it to "fermented herring" What sick man first decided that was edible? :P

  • All these amateurs. Open at the same edge you are lifting.

  • mums - yummy!

  • It's called Surströmming

  • whatever is inside that can it must not be good.that stinkowiff.

  • Quite the contrary. Since the smell is intense it has to be very delicious for people to eat.

    And it is.

  • That can be argued..

  • what the hell is it?

  • it`s rotten fish in a can that smell real shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's not rotten, it's fermented. Fermented Baltic herring. I've never eaten it myself but I've opened one once... never again :)

  • I don't think that uni tastes better ;)
