these r the living saints not bono, madonna or any othe celeb who decides to start in charity in africa. y cant the celebs just donate a album sale or 1 night takings of a tour date. just think wot that could buy. but no it wnt give them tabloid space. i donate blankets and toys 2 these charity because they care 4 the kids and not about a image. do the same.
They try to find a home for them either with other surviving relatives such as aunts or uncles, or in an orphanage that supports older children, or through adoption.
and if they can't??? then what are they "released" back to kenya, to the cities, back into the circle for it all to happen again? I am sorry, it is just hard to see this happen again and again. Is there alway a resolution for these watoto?
This is an orphanage, the age limits are just guidelines which are a reflection of our mission statement. No one would ever think of discarding these precious children after caring for them and loving them for 5 years. Relax, we always find a place for them. Many of them go to Watoto Orphanage in Uganda, which is more appropriate for 6 years old and up.
