I currently have to 4g touches. the first was accidentally sent through the washing machine and the other was dropped on it's face which caused the screen to crack. @tommcdonald9 People will sell you any part to try and make money but that does not mean it is the correct part. The LCD and Touch Panel are adhered together at the factory and trying to take them apart will break the LCD which in turn you will have to purchase the complete screen. Save yourself some time and headache and purchase the correct part first with the complete iPod Touch Gen 4 screen from DirectFix com.

I dropped mine and the top of the screen shattered and fell off. I used a hair dryer but I couldn't install the screen because there were small shards of glass stuck in the glue. Is there some way I can remove this? Could I heat it up and use tweezers to pick out the shards? Thanks.

Not something completely shatterproof but something that wont just get destroyed after one little drop.
