dudes.. some of you who posted have no idea what the hell your talking about. First of all, the gti comes with a diverter valve not a BOV. Second there is not hose disconnected thats making that sound, thats just the stupidest thing you could have said. Lastly, I have a neuspeed intake on my mkv gti and it makes the same sounds. Any "filter on a stick" intake will make these noises. Some people dont like it and if your one of those people than just go and get a Carbonio intake.
the noise you hear is the turbo being slowed back down by air being blown back on to it by the diverter valve end of story. in fact a gate guard today to tell me that my blow off valve was bad lmao. people should look up compressor surge. its what happens when the turbo charger makes more boost than it should. what you hear is exactly how VW intended it to be.in fact all stock turbocharged cars do the same thing with recirculation valves. Volkswagen does it like this. dont like it? dont buy one
did you find what was making this noise ? i just installed an intake on my 07 gti and its making the same noise.. sounds like poo ..

I had a gti with raised boost and when the stock blow off valve wears out from the boost it started sounding like that. You should upgrade it.

i'd go with a whole new intake, try forge cold air induction kit + forge bov or even better forge dv ! you're turbocharge will thank you!

Thats the Neuspeed P-Flow right? I have the same one it does not make that fluttering sound. Did it do that after install?
