  • Would like to see more. Isnt Hi-8 analog equipment ? If so, how did you transfer to digital ?

  • @MrCrgl vcr cables and a video capture device plug via firmware to the computer

  • @gbmov I have an Sony Video 8. Which hardware do you use for transfering ? what is the frame rate when you transfer ?

  • @MrCrgl 30fps or 60i i think. look at amazon.com for video game screen recorders. Those people from videogame reviews use to record the image of the video game to the computer.

  • thanks for this videom I thought it looked great!

like an older movie. I am thinking of getting an old S-VHS camera and using my DOF with it. It might look something like this. But is there an S-VHS or Hi8 cam that uses progressive scanning?

  • You really need to upload your video in better quality!!!

  • The Frames need to look Choppy, but Really Good

  • this is great!! bravo.

can you make a tutorial ?

  • show the original for comparison

  • Hey man great videos!! can you make a tutorial on how to make a color correction? please!!! (hace un tutorial amigo)

you use final cut pro right? and apple correction

  • nicely done. a little TOO grainy in my opinion, tone down the grain a bit

  • I thought that it was excellent but the only thing that would of helped was if the autofucus didn't do its thing even though the changes were very slight and if the auto exposure also didn't do its thing but with certian types of Hi-8 cameras if I recall its difficult to nearly impossible to change that so well done any way.

  • I'm no film expert but I watch movies like clockwork and I this is one of the best "Film Look" presentations that I've found on here.. And I've watched quite a few. Considering the equipment you were using, I think you did a bang up job. I like it.

  • What's the exact name of the song?

  • the DOF helped this :)

  • illumination even more

  • i love the timburton music :)

  • I quite like this. I'm trying to get a film look but can't seem to manage. I have a Sony Digital Handycam. Should be able to manage it with After Effects but can't seem to do it. i only just learnt how to create an 'Old Film Look'.

Anyway well done mate, i like it !!!!

  • whatsup guys all of us do mistakes its not a problem , gbmov u r not vitorio storano u still have too much to do , ILM is right the problem with the white balance ..

  • im just saying. if you going to post a vid on "film look tutorial" u should do it right.

    no offense tho.

  • doesnt look very good.

the white balance kept changing cause you put the camera on auto mode. never do that. also.. it just didnt look very good

  • I do not think its WB what keeps changing, maybe the brightness. Anyway, I made this video with Hi 8 camera. It is suposed you can only get crap like this. I did m best.

    Thanks for comment

  • song?

  • corpse bride soundtrack

  • nice to see that you didn't used 16:9 that's the cheapest fake film-look trick

  • So the trick is to not tell anyone how to do it?

  • can't you see it? zoom in to get depth of field and make only close-up shots to get a lot of detail into the picture, thus making it look sharper. + fitting light and framing.

  • beautiful, any tips to go along-side this?

  • Really impressive. Please tell us how you did it!

  • So how exactly did you achieved this ?

  • excelente toma, podria ser el comienzo de una pelicula

  • the music made me feel like i was watching the davinci code...really neat....music makes all the difference.

  • it is from the corpe bride

  • good choice....it fits well.

  • danny elfman... the master... ;)

  • @gbmov LOVE

  • I didnt quite understand. What was 3D in this?

  • this is a test with my camera and some editing, there is no 3d

  • ooh, right :)

The title "cinema test" confused me:) I though u used cinema4d in this

  • lolol ok
