Agree 100% but I think some sort of guarantee was given by the Gov to cover these massive loans during the boom yrs otherwise they would never have been made. The government are accountable and assets should be seized from those who profited. We need a CAB style organisation to chase hidden assets from all who borrowed.

The rich kept profit privately but were only too happy to share their debt with the public. What a scam. The public are being taken for mugs and we are being told to be good little citizens and continue to work while a large chunk of tax is going into the pockets of the already wealthy.
