All roads of knowledge lead to the same conclusion: Varansi brocades have been the royal and bridal choice for hundreds of years for very good reason. If you don't know this - it isn't because they're not the best, it's because you don't know much of anything about handwoven silk.

6,000 rupees is way too much for a benares silk saree, it is not pure silk, it has polyester woven into it. all those sarees should not be charged more 1,500 rupees

rightly said, that silk saree may cost only 1000 rupees...Actually, in India, Kanchipuram in southern state of Tamil nadu is famous for the silk sarees and mostly worn during weddings all over India.
