My friend and I interleaved a couple of textbooks together like this at school once, and then hung them from the ceiling. Our 11th grade English teacher was cool with anything.
I wonder if the strength of those phonebooks is dependant on the number of pages, would those tanks be able to pull apart two phonebooks that were twice as big?
friction is not affected from how big the surface is.
so its not about "the pages creating a huge surface that affect the friction"
static friction: Fn*u= Fs
u cant change unless the materials creating the friction changing so the only thing that can affect this phonebooks is the force one page putting on the pages above and under it.
so actually when you pulling the books away the force preventing you to seperet them is the force going on the Y axis (up & down)
there is a special tecnique, in wich a human can do it, actually, nearly any-one!

@twint33 Are you new to Youtube? Because 98% of the stuff on here has illegal crap.

@twint33 I do believe as long as it is at least 33 % altered from the original format its good or something like that

we just found two tanks laying around

@rubioo93 It would have been easier to use a few tracked Bobcats or even small dozers, but that isn't as much fun as retired military toys.

sikfreak6969 1 year ago
@sikfreak6969 Yeah, and I'll pour gas on your house and set it on fire.
NaiveXIIIAixian 1 year ago
@NaiveXIIIAixian and you think if I didn't put gas on your normal brick veneer house and light it up it wouldn't burn down???, such a stupid fuck lol
sikfreak6969 1 year ago
lol... you kinda expect a big explosion or something ... they just fell down and that's it xD
jokkevandessel 1 year ago
You need them to be pressed together, so at least 500 pages to keep them weighed enough to create actual friction.

That is so cool

would have been better if they used tractors.. they are more a common vehicle than tanks
rickysmyth 2 years ago 3
tanks are cooler, they dont need common things, they need atractive things to get more public.

LOL burn rubber they got metal tracks
Gumbie2009 2 years ago 4
Actually, many (most) tank tracks are equipped with rubber pads so they don't damage allied roads.
I'm sure both of these have such rubberized tracks.

good question hahas :)
sindude300 2 years ago
yes, it depends on surface area, coefficient of friction, and number of pages.

Wood fibers tie them selves together easily.
Think of taking a tree trunk and pulling it end wise.
I wasn't at the filming but I know those specific
tanks and buildings. I won't say the last name since it might be a security thing. Chuck was a fantastic guy - and nice to talk with as well.

You can hang both those two cars together from the interleaved phone books, and they still wouldn't separate.
