fml i guess im to dumb to get the thing to work i finaly got the phone to activate with the voyiger settings couldent get mysounds.dat to go away WITH AIRPLAIN MODE and tryed to put my my tone on there AFTER I CUT THE SONG APART WITH WAVEPAD THEN COVERTED IT!!! Im having trouble with getting the ringtones to show up on my phone. I've done this before but this time the ringtones don't show. My memory on my phone fills up as I put the ringtones into bitpim and I have deleted the lgmysound file I have to do it each time I try to put ringtones on I have cut the sound files down as well so my memory doesn't fill up so that cant be the problem I was wondering if you could help. It worked once already for me so maybe it could be a matter of trial and error

just keep trying, try multiple times deleting the lgmysound file and turning off your phone, also make sure your putting them in the correct ms folder

LG BANTER

1 Download Drivers LGUSB Drivers.zip

2 Install BitPim

3 Plug in your phone. Open BitPim and DO NOT auto detect your phone.

4 Go to Edit - Settings - Phone Wizard

5 choose All - All and select LG-VX10000 (Voyager) Clock ok.

6 Choose the last COM Port on the list. Click ok.

7 DO NOT detect the phone! Click finish.

8 choose Filesystem

9 Click the + on the side of the folder, the flies should show up.

10 Click dload folder and right click on lg_mysound.dat and save it to your desktop.

11 Now right click the same folder lg_mysound.dat and delete it.

12 Click on Brew - media - lk - ms

13 You should see all the default ringers. Now you can drag and drop your ringers into the ms folder.

Delete the ones you don't want.

14 All done. Exit BitPim and unplug your phone.

15 Turn your phone off then back on. You will see the ringers and they can be used!

i would try deleting them all and try it again, as always make sure the lg my sound thingy is deleted

and your phone can hold about 128mb

but the more ringtones you have the slower your phone gets and the less your inbox and outbox can hold

I have glimmer from us cellular, and I can just drag and drop files from windows to the phone without bitpim... that is with memory card in though, but I tried doing bitpim and they must not have version available anymore that you used because I see no option on left for file system. after installing modem driver, it finds the phone, but I can't any info from it through bitpim. Mostly what I want is just to find a way to add more animated wallpapers. can someone point me in the right direction?

Hey I have a suggestion for you, it worked for my phone multiple times so try it out. Let Bitpim automatically find your phone then go to edit and detect phone. Mine detected the phone again but this time it did not say the sound file is blocked. Delete the sound file and continue with the rest of the steps.

a way easier way is to get a SD/MMC reader/writer converter drive. you put in your memory card and drag and drop from itunes to the window that pops up with the reader
