where can i find this recording? I've got to have this on my ipod. What tune was Dickey singing first, the one he said was two days old? I wish they would get Dickey back with the Allmans, pleasssssssssssssssssse!!!!! Best Southern Band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. How cool. "Let Me Ride" 2 days after it was born sometime around 1980 and it shows up on Seven Turns 10 years later. Thanks for including that in your upload. I never noticed it on the videotape I have. Anyone know if this is available on a Brothers of the Road DVD? Also, is that Chuck Leavell on the guitar?
@jncyt Seven Turns was to have a Bob Dylan song on it rather than "Let Me Ride" but Kirk West, their main roadie and advisor and part time manager, brought up "Let Me Ride" which was to be on a Betts, Hall, Leavell, Trucks album that never got made. Betts wrote the song. The first guy playing guitar is Mike Lawler who was actually the ABB keyboard player from late 1980 to late 81 when Chuck Leavell came back. Later the acoustic guitar player is Dan Toler while Dickey plays a Ibenez electric.
