I understand what you mean by the live feel.

I`ve heard this song now for more than 35 years. To me nothing beats the version that was on the album, with te strings and the high voice and his amazing voice till the very end of the song. To me this version sounds a bit strange but he 35 years.

Every once in a while I`ll play this one, now back to the original..

Elvis really got carried away here in the emotion of the song... his voice is unbelievable.

I love the master version that was released, but I wish he'd left it in the higher key he's doing it in here. It's breathtaking.

It doesn't really matter, though, we now have both versions to enjoy.

Me too. This was originaly the "B" side of "It's Only Love" in 70 - 71, but was release in 80 - 81 as an "A" follow up to "It's Only Love" in the UK.
