I'm really glad CUPE did this strike and the union went against residents of the city with videos and messages like this, calling their own tax payers "Scabs". Now the people finally are motivated to get private garbage collection and get rid of these clowns.
These are NOT the people you would normally see clean up after events; these people are SCABS. With awe I watch the city workers removal of waste after events and am astounded by their efficency . With fewer bodies, garbage is thoroughly removed. Events are quickly cleaned up as if it had never happened at all! To that I thank all the hard working individuals who walk behind the crowd restoring the parks and streets to their former states of cleanliness. You have my support CUPE!

Just came from Windsor visiting family. From what I understand of the strike the Union has a very poor position. The actions of some of their members haven't helped things. Union should either clearly explain their position or settle.

I would have helped clean the garbage for free. There are those of us in this community who care about the community not just out for our own self interest.
workers are striking so that future generations of city workers will get the same benefits that they are getting and will continue to get. i wouldn't call that self interest. if you really care about the community, then you would not let this trend of dismantling employment benefits effect future generations of city workers who are themselves members of "the community".
Supervisors and other managers shown in this video don't have choice. There is no Union to protect them if they refuse job. They have to do what they are instructed, otherwise asta la vista . Even some of them may support CUPE's cause in this strike, they can't say that loudly, so I say give them a break a go against those at council who standing between you and your job.
This is still more cost effective than paying local 82 staff 8 hrs to do the same job that only 23 people did in 3 hours. This is true costs savings and windsor taxpayers should be proud.

Could you please show me any public record of violance. It's simple fact, the police chief follows the instruction o Eddie. After all he is chair of the police service board. In my conversations with officers they have told me they are following orders from above not to appear on CUPEs side no matter what. In theory, not enforcing the law equally. Please try and show some intelligence by thinking about a comment prior to writing it!

and..when asked once again to rescind them voted to say yes to keeping them
and were quoted as saying
"they are way too important to give them up"
