haha yeah i take Dexedrine for my ADHD. its like my morning coffee. Wakes me up and gets me ready to study for college classes! On school days only. I take 60 MG A day (20 MG x3 times a day) Works perfectly like a god!

@kfreshx When one takes stimulants like dexedrine, some side effects are dry mouth and eyes. Some say it is general lack of hydration, as dexedrine can flush the body of fluids. The dry eyes are the worst because It makes the person look tired, wired and out of sorts, even if he/she is using amphetamine-D properly

I currently take dexedrine for ADD. Yes, they still prescribe it. I take 10mg a day. Awesome drug... keeps me awake and able to function in "society".

@Dexie78 I wish I had your body chemistry, the 10mg, even in IR didn't touch me. I wanted to sleep, ironicalIy. Other than the caps take, I only know of the white 5mg and the10mgs. Do you know if it is available in a time released tablet? like Ritalin SR where it releases half and half over 8 hours or so?

@MusikAndLuv Well, as I understand it - the Dexedrine "Spansule" (AKA: Dexedrine SR) comes in 5, 10, 15 and 20mg doses. I know a lady in my office who takes 2 20mg Spansules every day, The 10mg tabs ("Dexstrostat") are extremely powerful to me. They pep me up so much that by 1pm, I HAVE to take a downer (Valium, Xanax or Klonopin) to counteract it. Based on the fact that you said the tabs made you sleepy, I'm guessing you have ADHD? I have ADD only and they don't calm me down but I do focus.

@brainjesus Yes, you can still get a Rx for Dex. I just got a prescription for it a couple weeks ago. Now I can pay attention just as well as anyone else. It is a really good drug for ADHD. The Doctor wanted to give me Ritalin at first, but I said no thanks, that shit caused me problems in middle school. So he gave me something better. I am in college now and this stuff is good!

is it really hard to convince your doctor to prescribe them to you? because i take vyvanse and my tolerance went up so they have no effect and i want to try these what do you recomend me to ask my doctor?

Vyvanse is metabolized by the body into dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine), so you're getting the exact same chemicals through Vyvanse (if you ingest it orally).

Of course trying to do things like snort or shoot Vyvanse are ineffective since the L-Lysene portion of the molecule will only be broken once it meets certain chemicals in the digestive tract. Any other method of taking the drug would be the equivalent of taking really expensive vitamins.

Ask for a dosage up if tolerance is an issue.

i went from 5mg per day, which made me high as fuck (as if i were on E) to 90mg per day which i barely notice. I ended up stopping dex cold turkey 20 days ago.... (withdrawals are not so bad.... you sleep for 3 days). I wonder how to reset tolerance. L-Tyrosine helps I gather.

same, but i tricked my doc to giving me 2x 10mg dexedrines and a 70mg vyvanse. i told him that the vyvanse seemed to work fine, but didn't seem to work all day, especially when schools out and ive got home work and math tutoring to do. he bought it. my advice, dont mix dex and vyv because with vyvance, you cant go over 140mg. be smart.
