@enginelover1 never started so well. Chuffed to bits with the old girl. I just hope after getting the Lister D engine rebuild book, that the D will stay in one piece and not end up in bits lol
@enpeemac You certainly worked your magic on the old thing. Its never started so easily. And in the hour ran it didn't miss a beat. Look forward to another crank up in the new year :)
@MrZorrack Thanks. This engine was built in 1945, but judging by the paint on the cylinder head I would say at some point in its life its had the head replaced. But everything else is original :)
Bought some red oxide for mine today. but she isn't going to be done before the new year that's for sure. But your D seems to run nice now with a bit of tinkering.
