It is not illegal to kill wolves. Michigan has 2 laws protecting farmers and people from wolves attacking. They will be off the list this summer. People are tired of others encroaching their emotions telling farmers, ranchers what they can and cannot do. In Australia, where I live, there is a huge problem with feral dogs. They have bred rapidly and have actually become bigger than wolves. A farmer once found a dead one that weighed 70 KILOGRAMS!
Apparently these dogs kill for fun, as well as food. Cows have been found terribly injured, or dead with no signs of being eaten.
The wolves usually go after the smaller ones, but they get the bigger ones too. If we do have an older one that does die then we take it to the other side of the pastures so the wolves will eat that and the coyotes too.
WE were going to thry the Great Pyrenees that CMU was donating to some farms during their research, but we went with burro's, A large male and his son. So far so good.

Don't you think the wolves are killing the cattle because their natural food source, bison, is displaced by cattle farming? I'm not being facetious. This is a serious question. The wolves are only doing what nature and/or God designed them to do. They are carnivores and hunt herd animals. They don't understand boundaries or the difference between something we say is okay for them to hunt or not. Western culture tends to demonize certain animals, but all these animals are God's creation.

While there are feral dog kills,all of my videos kills were from wolves and coyotes. Every picture from these 2 videos show nothing but wolves.There are true,wild timber wolves in my videos that I personaly took from trail cams to digital camera and video,and they are from just one 1,000 acre farm.Footprints tell the difference,its the size.Wolves of course are the bigger of footprints.Not sure on dingoes,haven't looked it up much.I would say they contribute to keeping the pests down in Aussie.

I'm checking now...I know of one here in Michigan from a couple years ago,and there were two horses that were killed by wolves just across the border in Wisconsin last year.
I know how many farmers and livestock companies feel because I and my neighbors are all farmers in some way and need these animals. However I wish for many of the wolves and puma's and other such creature's to be returned back into Georgia at least were I live up in the mountains cause the deer population is out of control where I live and the Coyotes are even worse so it would be a blessing to me to have wolves running around in Georgia again and balance out our food chain again.
What makes you so sure that the wolves will eat the deer and not just eat stock? Deer were protected and then they overpopulated in some areas. Not enough people are teaching their children to hunt. We Americans could trim the fat right off our youth by promoting hunting and eating venison.

Those calves are now ALL dead during those time frames. My opinion is to let us continue to get rid of the problem wolves and let the ones who fear us alone until they come around and kill more calves after all other means are exhausted to keep them out. :)

The awful circumstances was in the shape of three human beings slain and eaten by wolves. Attacked by a pack of wolves during the night and destroyed. Their awful doom and distruction can never be accurately described, but never let us imagine the heart rending shrieks and dying moans of the unfortunate family. This mixed with the noise made by the wolves snapping and snarling was certainly awful.
I think people would believe you more if you put a correct citation from your source so people can verify it for themselves and not wonder if you're lying or not. The ones that aren't lazy, that is. Perhaps (if you have the resources) you could put up some surveillance equipment to catch the wolves in the act, and then force the DNR to act. If they don't with this proof, you could go to the press and MAKE them do something. I'm glad to discuss possiblities of wolf restrictions, because they NEED to be in place and farmers compensated for their losses. Don't you think the wolves are killing the cattle because their natural food source, bison, is displaced by cattle farming? I'm not being facetious. This is a serious question. The wolves are only doing what nature and/or God designed them to do. They are carnivores and hunt herd animals. They don't understand boundaries or the difference between something we say is okay for them to hunt or not. Western culture tends to demonize certain animals, but all these animals are God's creation.

First it is known that feral dogs kill stock for fun ect so how can you tell the difference between wolf and dog kills?
Also in australia they tolerate Dingoes killing stock,because it's rare,and dingoes kill bigger pests,are Dingo kills rarer,or do they just have so many pests in australia that they need dingoes?Thanks

While there are feral dog kills,all of my videos kills were from wolves and coyotes. Every picture from these 2 videos show nothing but wolves.There are true,wild timber wolves in my videos that I personaly took from trail cams to digital camera and video,and they are from just one 1,000 acre farm.Footprints tell the difference,its the size.Wolves of course are the bigger of footprints.Not sure on dingoes,haven't looked it up much.I would say they contribute to keeping the pests down in Aussie.

Thanks,I figured there would be differences-I do know other animals also kill for sport such as lions,leopards,hyenas,coytoes ect No wolves around here,we do have coytoes that cause problems though,we get the odd black bear too but not enough of them to do anything
I think if we allowed the killing of problem animals it would allow the species to stay in the area IMO I'm not an animal rights nut,I do know animals do have to be controlled,also wolves aren't that rare anymore that too is crap

I'm checking now...I know of one here in Michigan from a couple years ago,and there were two horses that were killed by wolves just across the border in Wisconsin last year.

I know how many farmers and livestock companies feel because I and my neighbors are all farmers in some way and need these animals. However I wish for many of the wolves and puma's and other such creature's to be returned back into Georgia at least were I live up in the mountains cause the deer population is out of control where I live and the Coyotes are even worse so it would be a blessing to me to have wolves running around in Georgia again and balance out our food chain again.

What makes you so sure that the wolves will eat the deer and not just eat stock? Deer were protected and then they overpopulated in some areas. Not enough people are teaching their children to hunt. We Americans could trim the fat right off our youth by promoting hunting and eating venison.

The Defenders of Wildlife, the Sierra Club, and others who support wolf reintroduction should be held resposible for the damage they have caused. Wolves need to be controlled. Domestic Stock and Dogs have been here longer than the reintroduced wolves!

To this day Defenders has only paid out 1/3 of all documented wolf kills,they ignore the rest of what they promised to do,along with the Wolf Alliance from the Ashland College in Wisconsin.Wisconsin State has paid out more will the DNR from Michigan WILL not pay.If Michigan continues to ignore the problems they will see more dead wolf carcasses laying across their mailbox or building signs at the foot of their departments buildings! Michigan DNR has yet to pay this farm any money since the wolves started killing for sport since 1999!It's all lies and deceit from the Pro-wolf Nut's. We now have over 1,000 roaming around in the Upper Peninsula. The DNR said they would curb the packs at 200.Now they say they won't put a max on them,only kill off the problem ones.Well,they have yet to kill ANY! The USDA has to do it all!Keeps my buddy busy though (USDA Wolf Trapper)! LOL

Finally a video that depicts the wolves as the sport killing animal they are. Where I live the wolves kill heffers and calves all the time. Why can't we just keep the wolves at the number we were promised they would be kept at. You give the wolf people an inch and they take a mile. Right now there are about 500 wolves around our ranches and leases. Thank god for the government finally waking up and taking these killers off the endangered species list. Its hunting time boys!

The last 60 have been the best because we have been relatively wolf free and the coyotes are now very little threat. Now we have had more and more problems lately with wolves killing the stock and just licking the blood and not even eating the animal. I'll bet some of the wolves in this video have been killed by wolves but really eaten by birds and such.

Back then there were a lot less ways to make a living. The elk, mule deer, and sheep just got back up in numbers too and now the wolves are here for a few years and now they're back on a decline. I know very well how hard it is to work for money, and earn a living, but Wolves are creatures to be respected, i know you might not agree with me, but i believe you are very one sided on the situation. Wolves might kill for sport, but they also kill for survival, and who knows, maybe for vengence. We've killed so many of them, why shouldnt they kill livestock. Not that im saying it's tolerable, but the farmers should deal with the issue that threatens they're choice of earning a living.

Their awful doom and distruction can never be accurately described, but never let us imagine the heart rending shrieks and dying moans of the unfortunate family. I think people would believe you more if you put a correct citation from your source so people can verify it for themselves and not wonder if you're lying or not. The ones that aren't lazy, that is. I believe in helping wolves, but I understand that they need to be kept away from livestock. Farmers are getting the raw deal, but I believe the blame rests more on those saying nothing to the public about these attacks and not meeting their promise to pay for the livestock killed than the wolves.

After the DNR looks around they can never come to the conclusion that these animals were killed by wolves.They are ignorant in the fact that you can see the deep gouges from the wolves canines in the bones, or other things.The Mi Wolf director from the DNR isnt qualified for that task.Yet,the famers continue to suffer from broken promises from the Michigan DNR over these wolf kills.Thanks for your comment we need more like this instead of irate,immature and cussing 14 year olds.

Perhaps (if you have the resources) you could put up some surveillance equipment to catch the wolves in the act, and then force the DNR to act. If they don't with this proof, you could go to the press and MAKE them do something. I'm glad to discuss possiblities of wolf restrictions, because they NEED to be in place and farmers compensated for their losses. I do not like being represented by immature and mindless children, so I will speak for myself and my views on wolves.

All these pictures I took,and I have set out 3trail cams in different locations around the farm.All the pics on the two videos are of the wolves sneaking thru and killing the animals.We have the DNR now.Its only a matter of time before they change their tune and are forced to take action instead of the USDA.Hopefully its soon.Cannot believe the excuses they tell us on why they arent going to reimburse the farmers livestock.Actually its pretty silly,and most farmers tell them to get off the farm.
