  • Tamtron 2.8

  • great Shot!

  • apart from your sky looking rubbish not a bad effort at all ...sky is blue, grey or dramatic dark skies not yellow ...

  • @geoffdoor thanks! but I think it depends of the vision of the filmer. Of course I could've had blue sky but I like it like that. Greets

  • @eddy1337 I think your choice of color of the sky is awesome! I have the Mark II myself by the way, awesome camera :)

  • how many fps did you shoot this in?

  • @kellyakakells hey man! this was shot with 25fps

  • Very very impressive clip. May I know what post production have you done? what is the raw footage look like?

  • Can I achieve the same results with my D3100? Did you use Magic Bullet or any post processing tool?

  • @treehugger3615 I don't know much about Nikon cameras sorry. I used After Effects for grading

  • @eddy1337 Thanx. I am impressed with the sharpness of the video.

  • what did you use to edit this? :O

  • Germans are always talented !

  • @plung3r haha best comment so far! :D

  • i want this damn camera so fucking bad now!! so much $

  • Hey eddy! Love this! Looks stunningly beautiful =)

Have a look at what I've made, this inspired me loads!

    You won't regret ;)

  • Hey, great job!

    It looks amazing.

I'm shooting with a 5D as well and learning after effects.

As far as your lens go, do you have any videos with these same lens without any editing to the shot?

Can you send me a link if so?

I'm looking to buy those same ones. Wanna make sure there worth it.

    Thank you.

  • @jmarz222 thank you! for this lens I can tell you that it's worth it.. BUT you have to be aware of the fact that most of the tamron lenses have problems with the focus quality. you can be lucky and have the first buy pinpoint sharp and then you buy another six that are pretty bad. but it's worth to get this lens. hope that helped you a bit :)

  • @eddy1337 and by the way 70% of my photos are taken with this lens. visit my website and have a look. w w w . eddyzone . d e

  • Amazing colors!!!!

  • Fantastic video

  • Am I the only poor bastard that can't afford a 5DII? I swear it seems like everyone has one of these nowadays.. sheeeshh

  • @EdglerVess haha no, I'm a photographer too, thats why I have it in the first place.

  • @EdglerVess hey brother im running a hacked 50 d and my little sisters audio recorder for my films dont feel to bad

  • @EdglerVess if you want to film in the first place, just take the 550D. it's almost the same when it comes to video.

  • @janzgrosseskino T2i is a great camera for filming no doubt and I will most likely buy it before the 5DII, but it has a crop sensor as opposed to the 5DII FULL sensor. When you're planning on showing you films at festivals and what not on huge screens, the 5DII can't be beat. Unless you want to fork out 25k+ for RED. ;)

  • @EdglerVess does the crop factor really have an influence on the image quality? i always thought it's just a bit impractical if you want to use wide angle lenses. i'm facing the same decision at this moment, i have a nikon D90 and although i like nikon more when it comes to photos, i'd rather have a canon now, cause my main priority is filming. so i'm not quite sure if it shall be the 550D or the 7D, but i'm pretty certain i can't afford the 5D MkII, otherwise i'd go for it straight away.

  • @janzgrosseskino sure it has effect on the image quality.. try to shoot a subject with a 35mm 1.8 (equals the 50mm 1.8 on fullframe) and compare.

but they both have pros and cons.. if you are doing safaris, crop can be a huge gamechanger with the added length on your zoomlenses.

  • @EdglerVess it took me a year to save up for mine

  • @EdglerVess I don't ! Hope i made you feel better :D

  • So would you suggest this camera as a decent one for filming?

  • @celticguardian951 - YES! There are some things that it cannot do well, but its 90% there compared to RED etc etc. Its not a 4.4.4 but you would be amazed how many people can't really tell the difference. You will always find people who can - but they are looking for tiny clues - if your story telling and vision is good it really doesn't matter what camera you use. (to an extent)

  • @captainjman1976 exactly! doesn't matter which camera or lens or whatever you use when you know how to use your equipment right :)

  • could you please upload a color grading preset for aae?

  • please please oh please tell me what format did you do this in (avi, mp4, mpeg) and what encode and bitrate?? how did you convert the original footage to upload this on youtube without messing up the quality? please i have a t3i and it saves on .MOV but i dont know what to convert it to in order to upload it to youtube and play it on 720p without losing quality. Can you help me id realllly appreciate it

  • pls let me know the color correction setting! grt job!!!

  • Nice exposure, so many on here have too much... Great toning... can't wait to get into movies with my 7d when it arrives :-)

  • @les4030 thanks man! you will love the 7d :) 60fps rocks!

  • good job ! did you use a glide cam or handheld ? what do you mean by "graded" in vegas ?

  • @mairaeva graded = colours and tones applied in after effects. I used a tripod! thank you :)

  • @hamimannn h.264

  • Really Cinematic!!!! Good Job!!!!! what plugin and NLE progr. you use in post prod.?

  • Not sure if I should get this, the 7D, 60D, or T2i

  • @noobie1890 mate it all depends on ur budget! I was planning on getting the 60d but now i think i'll get the 550d, and with the left over cash i could get a better lens!!

  • @97purna How much is the 550D?

  • @noobie1890 depends where you are and if u are willing to shop online. The average online price for the body only is around $500 - $600!!

  • @97purna Maybe if I win the lotto or something then I will DEFIANTLY buy it

  • @noobie1890 - if you are short on cash, I have seen some grey market 5d2's for sale for 1200 bucks! I didn't buy it, but I did test one and it works very well. The body wasn't magnesium alloy and there is no warranty - but its a cheap way to get started with one. FYI

  • @captainjman1976 Good to know! Thanks man!

  • AMAZING!

  • how do u keep the video hd after rendering?

  • Is this handheld ?

  • its this cam good for Musicvideos ?

  • @DragonFly1337 yeah why not? depends on what kind of musicvideo you want to shoot.

  • How much did this camera cost??

  • great color. I like the feel that this lens is giving. especially the last shot of the flags, what is the frame rate and shutter speed?

  • the coloring of this video is amazing. was it done on the camera itself? or did you use color corrector or something?

  • @FocussProductions hey! it was graded in after effects. but the originals look also great :)

  • @eddy1337 ok cool thanks, i need to figure out how to do this in fcp. its so nice!
