@koolkat104 I saw FFF around 2002 right after Superman was released. John Andrasik had no idea he was famous...he was walking around as he sang throught out the concert hall, hugging, high fiving, even stopping the song to ask a young kid how he was doing and strike up a conversation...He was very humble and it showes in his lyrics!

this is truly a great song, but i just have a question and it might be stupid, but at the end of the song, he says that his eyes burn, is this because of the two lights or because he doesn't see any lights and he's crying?

It can be taken both ways. Though I think in the song it was meant as a death because of the ensuing chorus, which keeps on saying "tear out my heart." However, if the man's son died, then some other man's son survived, and vice versa. So the song can be taken both ways.
