If you were to blow it way out of proportion, you could say this is Harahi showing her longing for Kyon, seems random how she would go so far out of her way to help these girls out. She's very nice, but in the rest of the series "she treats everyone like objects"~Kyon. Chronologically, this came after their kiss as well, so it would make sense that she's conflicted between a normal relationship and her desire of strangeness.
