Okay so I tore my ACL 5 months ago and I've blown it out like atleast 13 times and then I've dislocated it and had to pop it into place 5 times and I'm thinking I injured my knee more sergeant because it did start popping outta place until about a month ago what could I have possible done to worsen my injuries?
@XxCLFxX you should consider surgery I also tried without surgery, even after 6months rehab it popped and later it also dislocated, so my doctor advised surgery since continous popping and dislocating is not good at all for the knee, especially not the meniscus. If yours popped 13 times and dislocated 5 times already i suggest you telll ur doctor about it, and he''ll probably suggest surgery
@bollipopman Get yourself along to a Physiotherapist, Chiro or an Osteo. They will assess the problem and organise a scan if required. You don't need a GP referral (in Australia). If there hasn't been any improvement in 12 days you really do need to get a professional opinion. I am surprised your GP didn't send you along to a physical therapist to at least rule out any underlying issues. Good luck. Regards CC
@combinedriver8322 not true at all! I could run, sprint, jump, play football and after 3 weeks of the injury.. and I've done this injury and torn cartilage
This can be done so easy! I landed awkwardly playing football and hurt my knee. I went to hospital and i could put full weight on it and run after 3 weeks. I got my MRI results back and i have torn my cruciate ligament and have to have 3 cartilage reconstructed. So i would advise anyone that has injured their knee to get it checked straight away
Your post op recovery will require several visits to a physiotherapist who will assist in providing a series of strengthening exercises based on your progress. The more compliant you are the better the recovery. Many elite athletes suffer more serious ACL injuries and return to their sport at elite level post op so don't be discouraged. Recovery in the most part is up to the patient.
my left knee got injured, MRI result found that my ACL is attenuated and considered partial tear and same with my medial meniscus is teared up. i need your advice if after the operation my knee would it back in normal as 100 percent sure as before? and what maybe the risk in the future if happen again and the replace legament will torn again.
@PRCmario haha nah those guys can't fix ligaments. Get it checked out and fixed before possibly damaging ur knee more. I was about to see one of those guys "sobadores" but didn't. Got my MRI results today and I have a torn acl and medial meniscus
@PRCmario if it's torn, no one can "pop it back". It is torn and has to be reconstructed, because there is not enough blood flowing through the ligament for it to heal itself. Go see an orthopedist.
I tore my ACL a month ago and after 2 weeks I could do squats with no pain and thought everything was okay (the first diagnosis said "minor knee sprain", dumbass doctor) but then I was getting off the bus and stepped on my leg and my knee popped again...
@ClydeFromSouthPark not necessarily. I completely tore my ACL and required a reconstruction, and only hours after I tore it I was walking around my hotel room. If there's enough swelling to limit your range of motion I would go to the doctor and get it checked out.
i have a feeling i tore my acl im a thirteen year old kid that played football and i got layed out by 2 people one from the nack and one from the side. its bruised swollen and hurt like a bi***.... i have had it like this for about a month now and scared to go to a doc. wat should i do
