@badhorsee Most donations don't go to them my friend.
Japan is a well of country so they don't receive much Foreign Aid, before you blame anyone, they chose that because they take care of themselves mostly.
i actually don't like loudness that much.. I just love listening to akira's work. incredible writer and musician. he really deserves a lot more attention than he gets.
Their entire "Thunder in the east" album RULES!!!!! What an amazing and great Heavy Metal band! They were the 1st band from Japan i got into wayyyy back! So happy too hear this stuff again! Lottsa smiles here!
@Elmagnifico37 Big thumbs on the take on this best NEW guitar player of the year "84"! Steve Howel got best that year. Dont quote me though...I saw that tour, and Loudness blew me away. I'm very fortunate. Tman!!!...
@KujoKane Yep. I have 2 up on E-bay, BOTH are killer shows and the sound quality is nearly perfect. I was playing one of the shows last nite cruising around with friends in my 4runner down in Hollywood. I had them all believing that KMET was back...lol. I had to let them in on it later but it was a great moment. We even had heads turning..we had the windows down. Go check out E-bay type in KMET Jim Ladd and both shows will be there. More soon, some with Lucifer LaRock. WHOO-YA!
I think it is total bullshit that they are asian is even in the conversation the facts are they are very talented totally underrated and fucking ROCK !!!!!!
Because of Loudness (originally from Osaka) they were the first HR/HM band to perform in U.S. and Europe with great success. Not many Asian bands (even today) have that same energy and popularity like these guys.
Why is it so hard to believe they are Japanese? If you are referring to a American Band, I don't remember any native american heavy metal bands in the 80's? If there was, please point them out.
@pcmbdl01 hhffgr probably says that because they have a very American sound, most likely due to Mike Viscera (their singer) being American and having no Japanese accent whatsoever
@JaketheSnakeESP there is no Mike Vescera singing here... Minoru Niihara sings! :) Vescera sings only on "soldiers of fortune" (1989) and "on the prowl" (1991). The american sound is propably more due to their producer, Max Norman... :)
Metallica was from the 80's and from California... though you can argue that Metallica is not in the same catagory as Iron Maiden and Judas Preist... the 2 best metal bands ever.... don't even try to argue that...
@itokobiashi I have a bunch of Mighty Metal Shop Cd's that I remastered. Some 2 hour shows, some 4 hour..but I have a killer show with Jim Ladd palying them for the forst time in America on his show in 1983. You want some? E-bay and type in KMET Jim Ladd metal show. I recorded these and found the box of tapes in storage. Check it out and tell your metal head friends! Dave
