  • ....Wow..Now I feel very awkward cuz I'm American and hearing that guy ramble on like that...Yeeeeeah...>.>

  • He seems like THE most annoying guy ever...

  • are they filming for the show

  • "I will not tolerate this aggression" XD

Worst American accent ever, and he's such an annoying ass.

  • I wonder why george was going to the loch anyway...

  • His accent isn't that bad! He just sounds like a perkily annoying guy looking for a good time while he's on vacation.

  • Hound of the frickin' Baskervilles <-- Haha.

  • I like the "blair witch " style this was done in,

  • This is the worst attempt at an American accent I've ever seen. He needs some lessons from Hugh Laurie.

  • Dear god, I hope this isn't what they think we sound like.

  • @Salamentarg Mmmmm and now you know how we feel about the american idea about the english accent.

  • " OW! OW!..... I'm ok... "

  • "It could be a scottish bear!" xDD

  • Lol at how his accent goes scottish when he says "Look at that moon" haha

  • Oh never mind, the actor playing the American isn't homosexual, his fake interpretation of an American accent comes off as gay.

  • "It could be a bear - a Scottish bear, dude"

  • So this is andy that Geogre mention in the frist series.

  • Wow. On behalf of every other American on the planet... we're not really like that! (And the "American accent" is a bit labored.)

  • Comment removed

  • Did he ever meet his weredad in this make If he did I missed it= and no I dont think its lined up where George dies and Joshs story wld start...thatd b such a horrible idea....

  • @wvboarder2005 yes he actually did, at the 2nd or 3rd episode of the 1st season. he taught him how to speak to woman 'george is as george does'. he even helped him to first talk to nina. and the chicken trick was his idea too.

  • "So I Guess I'm Like Scotch-Irish Or Something."

    ROFL XD

  • That was amazing :) it was tense but also funny with George's classic screams and noises. But i found myself wide-eyed for at least 10minutes after!! :) :)

  • It's like Blair witch projected + An american Werewolf in Paris

  • @WolfXY2J Exactly what I was thinking!!!! I was like, "This is SO 'Blair Witch'" and American Werewolf in London.

George was sooo tolerant of that annoying dude. Is this Europe's experience of American Tourists? Loud, obnoxious, clueless tools? LOL.

It was cute how the American dude was such a sharp contrast from George who was quiet, refined, civilized and exercise common sense, "The light you moron! give me your phone. YOUR phone..." ugh, I would have been exhausted dealing with that

  • Oh man, when this first started i forgot what George had previously said in BH about the night he was attacked and thought he was going up there to change then i realised when it got dark and was like... shit.

i got really scared! no joke, and i knew what was coming wtf

  • @falsestartchemistry It was Telly!!!! Who got killed by Camp and Dr. Jaggert later...By George, it's a small world after all!

  • its kinda georges fault that the guy got killed but also the guys fault for following him

  • i love this! haha so funny and scary at the same time, the american dude is soo hilarious, the dialogue's always great, even for online stuff, i really like this sort of backstory, it adds so much more dimension to Bh universe :)

  • Thank werewolf this guy got ripped to shreds.

  • I would be like o.O the whole time he was talking if that was me and when the werewolf attacked the tourist i would say

me: " OMG thank you SO much he was anoying the crap out of me!"

Werewolf "HOWLS, GRR! SNARL! *starts to close in*

me: " Oh yea shit lol your a werewolf! yea.... gonna eat me ah ha ha ha.................." * RUN AWAY!!!!!!*

  • 'ow! ow!' *George looks* 'i'm okay, i'm okay!' Then why the hell say ow in the first place! D:

  • the whole things great but that actors not actually american. At some points you can see some holes in his accent. like when he says "Check this out, loook at tha' mooon!"

  • the whole things great but that actors not actually american. At some points you can see some holes in his accent.

  • i love it when george screams. It comes out like a squeal..lmao

  • @catii1189 I find it kind of...strange..its like he was screaming like a girl but his reaction to how he endures was brilliant.

  • dude. that is the most annoying guy in the history of the universe.

  • hahaha they make americans sound so bad in this ahah

  • @jayebyrd1515 I am American and trust me some of us ARE that bad.

  • Nice, low budget stuff. If you had some imaginagtion you could probably make this yourself. But longer.

  • i cudnt b assed watching is this suppose to be werewolves? or wolves?

  • American spools

  • @Salamentarg Atleast not all of us americans act like idiots.

  • By the way, when the 'tourist' said "Scot", the "T" at the end is strongly emphasized. Most New Yorkers don't pronounce it with such a strong emphasis at the end and no one says 'totally' or 'like', lol, that I know. Not even in Cali, even. But this is still hilarious.

  • lol im scotch irish just the way he said it

  • *winces at occasional over-pronounced As* I really hope that's not what people think we really sound like...

  • ach, i think this accent is totally botched- it's regionally all over the place. Though he's right in that Americans NEVER stop talking (say "like" and "totally" way too much) and inviting themselves along when they should probably find their own way. That said, I'm from the U.S. and I avoid Americans like the plague when I'm abroad. Also, I know plenty of brits what don't drink tea or live in manor houses...More like council flats and lucozade!

  • @crappingmypants Yeah, I'm from New York. Favorite colloquial term is 'you know.' Some New Yorkers speak a mile a minute and some can go half a day without uttering a word. American's are no different from anyone else abroad and so forth. I should know. I've been to the U.K. among other places, and people are pretty much the same, personality wise. Some are talkative, some are quiet, some are snobbish or full of it, and some are cool. That's pretty much the human race in a nutshell.

  • whats the name again of the scottish song he hums during the first seconds? i cant remember...

  • @TheGerman06 scotland the brave

  • "Hey dude, it's your land..." Oh, that made me laugh... XD The annoying tourist reminded me so much of some of the tourists we get in the summer... haha ;P

  • damn you Tully *shakes fist angrily *

  • @KoolIsOnUTUBE though in fairness he did tell George to get out of the facility so its all good

  • something tell me that American guy is only pretending to be American. The pronounciation seems way too forced plus the guy who wrote his dialogue for him used way to many stereotypical words like "totally" and "Dude" but then again I might be wrong.

  • @Kay2be2M He's better than most I've seen faking it though. The series Spooks wins the award for the worst attempt at American accents ever. I love that show but seriously? Its like watching Keanu Reeves in Bram Stoker's Dracula-only reversed.

  • @tinaUNDAcova Seriously? I've gotta check that out, I've heard of the series but never seen it.

  • @Kay2be2M try the 8th season (or "Sarah Caulfield" on youtube). The introduced "American" character fails so horribly at the dialect that she manages to sound like she's from Boston/ New York/ Georgia/ Kansas in ONE sentence.

  • @tinaUNDAcova I'll do that right now, thanks for the info. by the way I laughed so hard at the way you described it :)

  • George the WereWolf is my Fav and I am a WereWolf lol HOWL!!!!!!! lol AWESOME!!!!!!! show

  • why would the people rescuing them pick up the camera and film the dead guy? why would they film at all?

  • @MirandaIshida why not

  • @MirandaIshida maybe for the police to have visual evidence? :P or maybe they didn't realise it was on and it just ended up filming...

  • I love the creativity with the cinimatics, making it the amature work of some tourist. You csn hear the clicking of the camera and everything.

Russell also does a phenominal job as George. Love, simply love him! The american was a nice touch too!

  • Oh, man! I can see his insides!

    Lol...

The clip is kind of scary though, like the Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity.

  • I just love the way that the rescuers see the man with all his guts out then go to george and he says "it got me" maybe it got the other bloke more

  • Lol in the BH books the guy who got killed was called Derek, but on this he's called Andy :D

Love George (and Russell) they're just amazing :D

  • Oh good poor George!!!! hahaha

  • Way better then the blair witch project. Got me spooking when the howling and growling was going on in the background.

  • im not condoning death or anything but...lets just say im glad George is the one who survived lol

  • @deadenglish Oh my gosh...imagine if THAT guy played the werewolf in being human instead of George. Mitchell would probably leave him.

  • @Smidgenity lol mitchell would have never saved him from the vampires outside the diner, an entire show could have been lost.

  • @deadenglish Unfortunatly i think the tourist is the same person from the AMERICAn being human >:C thats just meh theary but seriously if the american Being Human is based on GOERGE dying im going to chuck a rant at the next person :P

  • @runswithlolwolves I have not seen the american one....My country may have alot of things going for it...but remakes USUALLY arnt one of them. I dont want to ruin my view of the original.

It doesnt sound like the guy they cast though...I read its the same guy who was the lead in the movie 'fan boys', and he sounds like your normal generic pretty boy actor. :/

  • @deadenglish yea your probably right thanx though for the information :P

  • They did a good job of capturing us Americans. I hope I don't act that stupid when I tour Scotland :)

  • Ya know this reminds me of An American Werewolf in London except funnier and scarier.

  • that's totally how americans act. thats hilarious. i'm american, and they nailed how people here act

  • This is the best show ever!

  • The American tourist character is beyond hilarious.

  • hey i'm hust pissed that us americans are doing an american version of being human on syfy. WHY? there just gonna butcher it, What they need to do is just air being human on syfy. i can't see anyone else playing these charcaters that i love so much. i don't syfy ruin the original for me.

  • @Dance1718

Wait? They are? What? NO!!!!!! How come I just found this out now? Is this true or what?

  • yeah SCFY announced that a few months ago...

yeah and it's true, go google it, they are still finalizing everything.

  • @Dance1718

thanks and yeah i already did. it's sucks that they're remaking one but i'll give it a try and see if i'll like it.

  • like i said....i can't see anyone else playing these characters...

especially when it comes down to george...

  • @Dance1718

yeah that's the hardest part for me. The guy who plays George is amazing.

  • i agree...who can do the screaming and over-reacting better than this guy?

and mitchell...man that's gonna be hard too...love him and the guy that plays him...very hott.

  • @Dance1718

Ah Mitchell. hmm. . . I have no problem that character but the guy who is going to play an american version one has to observe the show. I really have no problem with Mitchell and Annie. The guy who will play George has to be really good. Overall I'm more of worried about the person who's going to play George since he's the one who keeps the group in the first place.

  • @mila203 I really just don't think it'll be that good, but yeah, I agree. I think the writers and the whole cast should really watch and get to know the show, to get a good feel of it.

  • @Dance1718 Ditto. :( What I don't get, it is in English. They have accents, but a lot of Americans loooovvvveeeee accents. So why can't we just import the show like we are now and keep it that way? Really, at most they could do to make it better is to make new seasons air simultaneously in both the US and UK.

  • i agree with you....i live in the US, ad i hate when they take shows from overseas and remake it thier own....here in america...they don't like change or shows of supernatural, that has to deal with vampires, werewolves or ghost living together.

we have one show right now that is called the gates were vampires, werewolves, succubus and witches live in a gated community. it taps more in to the real world more than supernatural...they don't really do much on the show.

  • @Dance1718 Thanks! I do too and yeah I hate that as well. Exactly.

Hm really? I hadn't really heard of it.

  • @Dance1718 Seriously!?

  • OMG :O

That werewolf is Tully, arghh I hate him

  • OMG that was cool :)

I'm only a new fan of george and its cool to see how he got to be a werewolf

  • I love George! Its so funny how the more he gets scared or annoyed the higher his voice goes!

  • That was actually mildly frightening. Especially if you have a fear of wolves like I do...

  • The include americans so the show will get viewed in the sates, they always do that, it's so annoying

  • I think that guy was there for pure albeit irritating comic relief.

Believe me, if they really wanted to appeal to the stereotypical average American audience they would feel the need to replace the British cast altogether....Ooops! that apparently already happened. I don't know about any other US fans, but I REFUSE to watch it since it will be raped beyond recognition.

  • In the last 90% of the British movies I've seen, there's either an American character, or the travel to the States or there's a big inclusion of an American thematic. My opinion is that the easiest way of making something famous around the world is to first make it famous in the States, and that a very useful tool

  • With you all the way on that. Just wish they'd release region 1 DVDs! :(

  • Yeah, it's going to be on "SyFy" now known as the Crap channel, so obviously it will suck.

  • Oh god americans do my head in "My moms Irish so Im irish" Does my fucking head in.

  • Trust me, it's no less annoying to the Americans with any common sense. Pretty much the cliche caricature of the stupid American--I figured they made him so annoying we wouldn't care (or would cheer?) that he actually got eaten.

  • I love george so much x x x <3

  • If I was the werewolf, I wouldv'e killed that american and spared george as well, nothing against americans, just that this one was annoying.

  • sorry it shows you andy gets killed at the end but i only watched half the video.

  • andy gets killed in the one of the first episodes when george said he was attacked in scotland he said there was someone else with him and he was gutted. so it was probably andy

  • LOL at 0:19 And this is SCOT LAND!!

  • That Andy guy? He needed killin'.

I love George. And Russell Tovey is amazing.

  • totaly agreed

  • OMG the American guy is Very annoying

  • "It could be like a bear, a Scottish bear"

    ROFL

Sad thing is I'm American, and I have to admit we can be exactly like this. I went on vacation in Germany and stayed with an American tour group filled with walking parodies of this stereotype. We are an overzealous people!

  • I was impressed by the howls

  • awsome american stereotype! haha

  • its a comedy/drama

  • gneerowblack: It appears to be an homage to, or at the very least a reference to "American Werewolf in London," in which the American protagonist is made a werewolf during an attack on him and his friend on some Scottish moors.

  • You know i do belive they used that as a reference.

  • Not really how I expected George to become a werewolf.

Everyone else has a more serious, dramatic prequel.

    Why was he in Scotland?!

  • This is exactly what we saw in the series only from a different perspective. Unlike Mitchell's or Annie's there is no need for alot of backround info, its pretty cut and dry; one day he's a human the next he's a werewolf.

I believe he was in Scotland for a vacation, I think this was addressed in the original pilot (with a different Mitchell & Annie) it provided alot more backround info on how the characters met Annie, whereas the pilot shown elsewhere picks up where that one left off.

  • I love Russel Tovey.

  • lol the bit where he said " it can here you shreiking like a baby lol

  • That guy would piss me right off and I am not dissing Americans most of my family is American but it's just that guy.....UHHHHH....he gets on my nerves watching this XD

  • actually it was episode 2 i think XD

  • Please I am American & I totally understand, I've been on enough tours with people like that to understand the stereotype.

  • Russell Tovey is amazing!

  • George is the best!

  • HA so dats how he became a werewolf :P

hmmm i wonder what attacked him

  • @Busybonding21 Tully attacked him. I can't remeber which episode he is in though XD.

  • oh now i remember XD and it was episode 3 btw

  • omg that was awesome cant wait for the real series

  • Comment removed

  • The guy who plays George does the same overstressed 't' sound as Adam Woodyat from Eastenders, it's really annoying, no-one ever uses a hard oratorical T in conversation, so it sounds stilted and clumsy.

I'm surprised the director never mentioned it to him, it throws off the meter of every line he delivers.

  • meh. everyone gets an opinion I suppose...

  • Sorry man, I don't want to slag off your idol or anything, but that whole Silvia Young style of acting winds me up big time.

  • "I will not tolerate this agression, dude!"

    I lol'd

  • GEORGE<3

  • well english people think thats how americans act and americans think english people only drink tea and live in manor houses

being human is the greatest series ever i love george lol he's voice go's super squeaky wen he paniks

  • man i dont understand how brits can emulate american voices while we usually butcher their accent.

  • @aurochffx Honestly no idea. Haha.

  • @aurochffx The UK are exposed to American accents. Where as in America you don't hear the British accent very often.

  • In general, like in other countries, Americans are lumped together as a group. I've lived in Asia and Europe. They're surprised to find a polite one with cultural sensabilities. Just think of it as blacks in the U.S. One black does something wrong and the whole race is guilty of being that same way . BTW, I'm black. I KNOW what I'm talking about, dig?

  • lol is that what the world thinks how americans act? lol im mexican american so im wondering if the world thinks its all americans or just the white americans. lol either way he was very annoying but funny. surprised he didnt say dude lol:D

  • 1:27 ish

  • Just tell people that you're Canadian, it's pretty much what all Americans do when they're travelling, anyway.

  • we dont think all american act like that but i have met a lot that do and they were all white

  • I'm american, and I'm afraid I must agree when someone say's we are anoying. we are loud and rude. I want to live in France...

  • Well you can't lump us all in there. that'd be wrong. But I wanna go to Greece.

  • Nova98 - i really think it is i thought that before i saw your comment, i love this though im glad they did they two prequels

  • "...if it can see the light, then it can hear you shrieking like a baby!" LOL! That shriek is one ot the things I love best about George...hilarious.

  • i know the american was supposed to be annoying, but i thought he was hilarious. another brit would not have been as amusing-- or so i think. and i'm american, by the way. i don't really find this offensive, though, because the thing people have to realize is that one person does not represent an entire nation and i know not all americans act that way, so i think it's cool. :)

  • Re: "...another brit would not have been as amusing..." I read somewhere that the "American" (his voice, that is) was Aiden Turner (Mitchell). That was his rendition of a stereotypical American. I may be wrong, but if you listen closely, the voice does sound like Aiden Turner's (timbre, pitch, his manner of speech, etc.).

  • oh, good call. i think you're right. i thought the "American" sounded funny, but i thought that was just because he was trying to talk with a scottish accent. i guess the reason he sounded weird was because he's not really an american at all.

  • That wouldn't surprise me...the accent was wrong from the start. A good try, but brits always over-do the pronunciation of r's.

I find these prequels interesting, because they make the show seem like more of a horror show than it really is. This and the Annie prequel were definitely scary.

  • maybe you just under pronounce the r's it is english after all

  • that was cool

  • Scotland?

    HA

thats ashton court estate in Bristol

  • the dummy with the gore and the torn up sheep looked awesome mwahhahaha :D

  • Certain Americans are that annoying...

  • Agreed

  • some People are that annoying.

  • is this andy the dude who died when george became the werewolf coz i swear george said it was his mate

  • If he did it might have been out of respect. If he said "Yeah, there was this annoying tourist, totally hated his guts... funny, actually, because the wolf seemed to think they were delicious." then it wouldn't have been George, I don't think. :) He's too nice.

  • Yeah, I was thinking that all through the video....

Maybe they were worried about the whole "hiking through Scotland with a friend - he got killed, now I'm a werewolf" was too much like "American Werewolf in London" to be safe.

  • SCOTLAND! Nee nee ne ne ne ne...lol That guy really was annoying.

  • I love the fact that the American was annoying! You know, stereotypes do (generally) exist for a reason.

(I'm an American by the way)

  • Ahahahah, stereotypical American. XD

    (I'm american >_>)

  • I am amused that so many people have pointed out the tourist as being American and annoying. What about half the tourists we get in the USA that are haughty and pretentious as hell?

This is a good series regardless, and I think half of you fools are the children of brainwashed hippie idiots.

  • this is a comedy not the news chill

  • I realize it's a comedy, but perhaps if you noticed the comments of others, you would see that my comment is in response to everyone that believes that all Americans are over-reactive nitwit tourists. I think you need to read a few more of the older comments. Thanks!

  • george is so funny he acts so weak!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My only criticism of this series is that they make George's condition out to be like its some kind of disability. Better would be if he could change any time he wanted to but absolutely had to at the full moon.

  • This was fantastic!

Kind of saddening that my country's stereotype is so ridiculously annoying, though. :\ Glad not to fit into such a thing, I guess. I loved the clip though!

  • fact: the bbc loves to make america look like a land of shit. Don't take it personally.

  • I'm an american and I take no offense to that lol.

  • i thinks george's prequel is the best

  • Yay! The American totally deserved it. He was pissing me off. XD

    (*is American*)

  • "The Blair Ware Project"

The long-awaited prequel to everybody's favourite wild-goose-chase movie.

On DVD now. In a store near you.
