OK, who are the 16 dislikers?? Friends of Mr. Big, "Tee Hee," "Whisper," and the rest of the bad guys?? By the way, the guy who plays Baron Samedi and who did the night club act early in the film was Geoffrey Holder, who later did a famous tv commercial involving the "cola nut." I think it was for 7-Up. Whatever, he had a voice that was the forerunner to James Earl Jones. Very distinctive voice and accent. And I think it was him on the front of the train at the end of movie.
@doctorw2 Out of all the amazing Bond moments, that's the one that stays with me. I remember watching the movie as a kid and being terrified right at the end! Great stuff.
@doctorw2 The character you're referring was named Baron Samedi, he was portrayed by Geoffrey Holder, who is better known for the 7 up "Uncola" commercials
This is the only James Bond title song that i heard before i knew it was a James Bond song the others introduced me to new music and some bands and singers i never heard of before.James Bond and his songs in the opening are forever!
I wanna do a movie about a REAL female version of James Bond, who drinks, smokes, and has sex with men half her age. The theme song would definitely be based on the Goldfinger theme, but if there's a sequel, it would so be based on this.
@RandyPantheGoatBoy I'm doing that myself. I'm writing a series of a French female agent who's not a bad guy or a good guy and she appears to be anti-lesbian but despises men but she's a lady when not fighting bad guys but extremely deadly when she does. She'd be a smoker and somewhat a drinker especially wine or champagne like how Bond does the vodka and she's a very tall woman (71.5 inches) between the ages of 29 and 43. She's only in the early stages of graphic novels for now.
Wonderful song, terrible ass movie. Roger Moore sucked, but better then that half ass on time shot piss poor excuse of an acting job. But still. At least Timothy Dalton knew when to quit.
I have adored James Bond since i was a spratt. Sean was the best Bond He made a BIG mistake to leave this role.... but Roger Moore was the second best 007....
Roger is Simon Templar "The Saint", just as Sean is Bond, Other actors can play these roles but the original actors who brought these characters to life with the general public will always have a special place in the mythology of these characters.
@Zicko1000 Well, he had a microphone in his hand and was ready to record from a recplayer and then he got this feeling of gas....and couldnt hold it...and then the fart got out loudly....
@HaterzOwnYoAss Well theres many James bond music that rock like "Goldfinger" "On her Majesties Secret Service" and much more *Looks for more james bond theme that he likes to comment about*
Live and Let Die is one of the best Bond movies ever. The main theme song wasn't the best but still respectable song from gorgeous Paul McCartney and Wings
Yaphet Kotto went on to do Homicide: Life on the Streets for NBC and Jane Seymour went on to play the title role to the CBS Drama Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and as for the song Live and Let Die, it was remade by Guns 'N' Roses.
Roger Moore was Da Man when it came to Bond, but I think that after For Your Eyes Only, he wanted to move on from Bond, but Octopussy was good, but his last film he says was his least favorite and I can't say as I blame him.
Roger Moore was one of Ian Fleming's favorites to play James Bond first, because he liked him so much when he saw him as The Saint on tv.
Fact is Roger Moore first played James Bond in a short comedy spoof from 1964, the same time Connery was doing Goldfinger. Connery himself thought Moore would make a fine Bond and recommended him to the producers since no money in the world could make him do Live and let die.
Thanks for the info, and also, here's some more facts for ya:
Paul McCartney's Version of Live and Let Die became a Top 10 Hit on the Pop Chart in The UK and it was a Top 5 Hit in America, Canada and Australia
It was also a Top 10 Hit on the Adult Contemporary Chart here in America and it was a Top 20 Hit in New Zealand
and also in 1964, MGM Television Introduced The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and Hanna-Barbera Introduced The Original Jonny Quest Starring the voice of Tim Matheson.
Thanks. I believe Live and let die also got an Oscar nomination for best original song. Should have won it too.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. was originally to have been called "Solo", but during this time a character named Mr.Solo also appeared in Goldfinger, and they feared the audience might have mistaken him with the protagonist of the series. Anyway that's what commentator track says on the Goldfinger DVD.
Guns 'N' Roses version of Live & Let Die became a Top 40 Hit on the Pop Chart in America as well as in Austria and France and it also became a Top 20 Hit on the Mainstream Rock Chart here in America, it was also a Top 20 Hit in The Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland and it was a Top 10 Hit in Australia, it was also a Top 5 Hit in Ireland, Norway and in the UK, but it was the 1st Single to reach #1 in New Zealand
Pierce Brosnan is a naughty man, because two of his films are 15 and the other two are 12, but all the other ones (besides Daniel Craig) are all PG, not 12 or 15.
yep, people cuss it because moore was 'too young'. i laugh when i see those comments, moore was 37. seven years older than lazenby, 5 older than connery.

Well I prefer the Guns N Roses version but this one is still cool. I have been raised on rock songs. BrotherofPlykshow had the Use Your Illusion DVD on of GNR and I thought they were the best. The same way I became a Bond fan
They should of got Paul McCartney to do another Bond score, this was amazing.

Well I prefer the Guns N Roses version but this one is still cool. I have been raised on rock songs. BrotherofPlykshow had the Use Your Illusion DVD on of GNR and I thought they were the best. The same way I became a Bond fan
