  • Good Luck in Law School! This guy definitely want

ed to make some easy cash.

  • "um"

  • This show (and Judge Judy) makes me want to drop out of journalism and pick up law.

  • Plaintiff is a rotten little prick. His buddy was doing him a favor. Asshole.

  • "Well, maybe not 'God', but, definitely act of nature." LOL

  • It's sad that the plaintiff would jeopardize he and the defendants friendship over something that pretty much was unavoidable....I feel he should be thanking Mariano instead of taking him to court.....

I cringe at the very thought of knowing that this is the type of lawyer the future holds...!!!

  • how much money do u get paid from the ppls court for showing up, because it says at the end that you got paid?

  • @ballanumber1 with the court shows both get money for coming and the win is taken from that. Ex: plantiff get say 5000 for coming and the defentant gets 5000. The def being sued for 3500. if they lose, the money will come from the 5000. so they(def) still will walk with 1500. and plantiff what they sued for and 5000 for coming. the concept it along that line, not exact, just to get a jist of how in works.

  • @ballanumber1 $5,000 goes in the pot per case, and the winner is paid from the pot, plain and simple.

  • did you know you should turn off your headlights because apparently the deer's basically freeze to the light thats y they just stop and stare

  • All pleasant young men.

  • The title of this case was hilarious! They are lucky to be alive and this dumb ass wants to sue the guy he let drive his car?

  • Plaintiff does not want the responsability after a few drinks - but then wants that responsability transferred to the person who he designates as the "responsable" person .... Nah ... The plaintiff had better not drink next time he goes out .... he must be the designated driver ..... No one wants to be sued for helping out.

  • THANKS EVERYONE!!!! KEEP ON VIEWING :) and yea being on People's Court was a fun experience!!

  • @mmalena98 Yeah, court is always fun.

The deer thing was an act of deer, not god.

Actually it was the result of overpopulation of people and industrial encroachment on the natural habitat of the deer.

If you were designated driver, you are NOT to drink.

If you are behind the wheel of a car, you better have insurance.

If you lending someone your car, they better have full tort.

  • @MrKevMan you would need to write a contract defining all eventualities to enforce tort to the degree you are stating.

definition of tort in this case would be: a violation of a duty (as to exercise due care) as defined by the national law journal.

so due care would be driving in a safe manner.

the deer is classified as an act of god in legal terms is something outside human controll.

the deer go to the roads at night because of the heat given off by the pavement.

  • if the plaintiff drove drunk he most likely would have hit the daer and got injured or killed so whats worse 1,000 bucks or his life

    lol i said bucks haha

  • "I shouldn't bear the burden!"

    "Ok, why should he?"

    "I shouldn't bear the burden!"

    grow up moron

also as someone used to judge judy, it is so weird to see this judge being so nice and practically apologizing to the plaintiff for dismissing his case

  • Just beacause your not guilty means someone else is.

  • i wonder what the judge is like in real life?

  • There's an interview with her on The Ellen Degeneres show, it shows her non judge side. She's very much like on the show except more personable.:)

  • Trust me what you just saw is exactly what your gonna get face to face. I think she is fair though.

  • Mariano killed Bambi!! :'(

  • i would do the JUDGE

  • Why do the worst of the worst law students go on the People's Court?

  • Because good law students know better.

  • One can't aspire to become a lawyer and also be "good."

  • @gnortznitz lol

  • @gnortznitz make sure you research your lawyer haha

  • Comment removed

  • Because the good law students would go to the Real Court

  • @skynet0419 What do you mean a "real court"...? Judge Milian,is a real judge, with real degrees, and spent some real time in law school...Her rulings ARE final...!!!

You speak that just because they're on the "tube" it's all fake..You should get a REAL clue...!!!

  • @Mrchikenkatsu it really bugs me too when people disrespect judges that appear on tv. as though it voids the hard work and money it xost to go to law school and all the years they spent in the legal system. those idiots make me sick.

  • @QueenCleopatra0606

It bugs me when TV judges act like bullies and make judgesments based on self credulity.

  • @MrKevMan they do it to make the show more intresting. I highly doubt they were like that when working in the judicial system. also they do get to read the statements before hand so they would have more information than we get in the video.

I do understand what your saying though.

  • The guy doing the after court interviews was putting words in the defendant's mouth.

He didn't say the plaintiff was trying to make money off him, he simply said "time are tough."

All that means is that people are being more petty about their expenses now than when the economy was healthier a few years ago.

    What an asshole.

  • The judge was hating on the plaintiff when he said 65-70 mph. That's a reasonable estimate, not an accusation of speeding.

No one ever goes exactly 65 mph and state troopers don't pull you over for going 5 miles over the limit unless it's a speed trap.

  • DOn't say "no one ever."

There are people who stayed at the speed limit exactly.

    I'm one of them.

  • maybe that's because you stay in the right lane all the time.

  • what a retarded case, that kid should be kicked out of law school for his insolence.

  • Good lord. As a WNEC law grad myself this is simply heartbreaking. Come on Joey!!! this is not the publicity we need.
