  • project cancelled... tumbling central... Good bye Eno

  • Iggy Ziggy Oh those Berlin days....

  • bowie or iggy? it's really good tracks.

    I prefer iggy version. sorry

  • for all those who say that iggy version is better then gom hear iggy´s version and stop saying it.bowie is bowie and in my opinion much better than iggy

  • As a hard core Iggy fan all I wanna say is this version rocks !

  • Surely I can't be alone in thinking this is at least the equal of Sister Midnight? The production has a buzzing, chugging, sinister quality that isn't quite there in the Iggy Pop version, and Bowie really sells a sense of nervous panic in the vocals too. Sister Midnight is a great track, but I definitely prefer Red Money.

  • Iggy's version is the best

  • The Swahili Blonde cover is actually reaaaally good

  • @liquidstone14

where I can find this? I was looking their version but I don't find it..

  • The Idiot was arguably a Bowie project as much as it was an Iggy one. This is good but I think Sister midnight is better.

  • Callin' Sister Midnight! Around '79 Bowie began to lose his inspiration.

  • Decent song but doesn't compare with the intensity of Sister Midnight.

  • This was recorded in Berlin during Bowies "Low" period. The sessions were a collaboration between Bowie, Iggy and Brian Eno and marked the start of Enos ascent as a producer. Apparently boMidnight and Red Money were recorded as alternatives personally I prefer this one.

  • @singbluesier All of 'Lodger' was recorded and produced in Switzerland and New York. 'Low' which was recorded in France, 'Heroes' (Berlin) and 'Lodger' were all produced by Tony Visconti.

  • Just read an Iggy profile on wikipedia, it said that this song was indeed SIster Midnight, co-written by Bowie and Iggy, so Bowie revamped lyrics and put it on Lodger.....as Red Money!! lol.......I remember reading same thing with Pearl Jam and Soundgarden....Eddie Vedder wrote "Footsteps" , gave it to Chris Cornell, and the music ended up as "Times of Trouble" on the Temple of the Dog album...Just interesting what different musicians do with the same song! :)

  • Calling Sister Midnight

  • You said it!
