  • MY name is Kelvin. I am a Star Trek fan.

NATURALLY, because my name is KELVIN I loooove this ship.

    It is my screensaver!

  • great

  • Why does the Enterprise have no phaser banks?

  • Comment removed

  • if the kelvin had no ventral or aft weaponry....explain how it shot down several of the torpedoes from the narada that were tracking the shuttle during the evac...

  • @jedivid They probably have 360 degree rotation...?

  • One of the most visually stunning videos I have ever seen on a fan based production and possibly better than many professional videos around. And the beautiful music composition makes this video complete!

  • who is the enemy?

  • why doesn't the Enterprise fire phasers? only torpedoes?

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those Quantum Torpedo's the Enterprise is firing?

  • @KrinkutAlliance they are not torpedoes but tetryon type beams.

  • @anit0bieber0for0live Beams? THOSE?! Of course, nothing in Sci Fi needs to make sense anyways.

But seriously, how are those beams? Beams are a stream of energy, not a burst.

  • @KrinkutAlliance tetryon cannons then. trust me i know

  • Comment removed

  • @anit0bieber0for0live Starfleet at this time never used projectile type weapons as the main weapons on their ships, only for turrets.

    Tetryon Torpedo's.

  • @KrinkutAlliance no such thing. Quantum maybe. but it was not around at this time of war. only 24th-25th. i bet it is tetryon turrets.

  • @anit0bieber0for0live Notice that it isn't even a turret. It's just a gun strapped above the deflector dish, which is how all torpedo's fire from this era of Starfleet ships.

  • Sweet

  • I have only one question: WHERE ARE THE LENS FLARES?!?!?

  • OMG. I didn't know NASA had stuff like this out there.

  • The attacking ships really remind me of the Son'a ships from Insurrection, though of course much smaller.

  • nice job A++++

  • Nicely done! :D

  • This is the Intro-Movie to a STAR-TREK-Convention called FedCon!!!

  • Great job.

  • looks good

  • Better that the dam film.... great work guys.... you should have made the film, then it would have been better cause it would be mostly ship battles...

  • I know you probably get asked this allot but what kind of cgi software do you use???

  • One of the best "Fan Made" CGI runs I've seen. Well done.

  • Brilliant CGI mate. One problem: the kelvin was destroyed before the enterprise went into service, but still a great vid.

P.S. What race was attacking the kelvin?

  • and what happened to the phasors?

  • I have to say this was so much better then the actual film.

  • Very well done.

  • WTF?! Why did the Enterprise rely ENTIRELY on torpedoes to take out small fast-moving craft? Last I checked she at least had a nice array of phaser banks, at least compared to the Kelvin's armament.

  • Although I miss the old Enterprise, the new one is still pretty neat. Awesome battle!

  • very well done!

  • 'Who the fuck gets killed by bee's?' lol

  • Nicely done. But I wonder why everyone else has phasers, and both the fed ships don't? All they have are torpedos and those little sputter-guns on the older ship? Isn't enterprise supposed to have phasers already?

  • ...this looks like crap for 720p...

  • no aft or ventral phasers? So all i have to do is have a relatively fast ship and get behind and under it and it turns into a sitting duck?! Hmm... back to the drawing board.

  • Wasn't this done by the Light Works? At least Tobias Richter used to work with them.

  • how can the kelvin simply be there? I mean it has no warp nacelles

  • @neonWHALE002 The Kelvin has one nacelle, which is on the ventral pylon.

  • sweet!

  • I don't believe this is a fan video. I think it was made for a convention in the fall of 2008 to highlight the new ship designs.

However I liked the "classic" Star Trek movie cinematography here vs the "documentary style" that was used so much in the actual movie. Star Trek is shot with long beauty passes so even the space scenes look like they were shot for a movie and not with a camcorder.

  • voyager is awsome

  • Hello

The writing at the top of the screen completely destroys the VIDEO !

Its is crap the way it is right now.... you are forced to read it it over and over and over........ I easily read it over 70 times.....

    TAKE THE WRITING OFF !

  • @imakez4u click the icon bottom-right ... click the top icon of the opened field.... there are no more comments ----

  • @Dreamweaver200786 .... Thanks you sooo much.... it is much better now !!!!!!!!!

  • @imakez4u ;-)

  • brilliant

  • Hmm...

  • wow

  • YAY, smooth camera work! Now I can actually /see/ the awesomeness that is the CGI!

  • how is star trek 11??

  • Excellent Job. Well done!

  • what is the music in the begging

  • Nice Graphics although not one Phaser fired by either Federation Ships, which is totally unrealistic, sorry!!! The Kelvin shouldve taken out 2 or 3 of those ships. No Starship Captain would undermine their weapons resources.

  • It's funny, but this ship does not appear as imposing as the 1701-E. Yet, in Star Trek 6 it is well put, when the admiral says, "They'll think twice about firing on the Enterprise under your command" (Refering to Captain Kirk).

Kirk is what makes the Enterprise the ship that it is.

  • That was fantastic. I would sware they were from the movie.

  • Has anyone ever noticed how with all star trek battles, they keep switching between the "shields are an energy bubble" to "surface shields"? which is it already, or different for different ships? which is better?

  • different ships have different type of shields I suppose. I like the surface shields better.

  • @PageofLegend I beleive they are all part of the same system only vary in intensity.

The Shields up order may give the tactical officer freedom to determine the power of shield nessescary or a given opponent, unless otherwised specified by commanding officers.

Low shields hug the hull plating and require less engery than maximum shields which extend to a spherical obloid shape around the ship.

  • Kelvin looks to have been caught with her shields down. Though why was she in that ring system with them down?

  • how about a better quality? even 720p sucks like hell.

  • u suck like hell

  • yeah right, why don't we post a reasonable comment for a change, right? Goddamn, you're either blind or dumb, because this pixelated mess is a disaster. I wanna see this battle in flawless HD 720p, not this goddamn blurry something.

  • true, it would be nice for a much better graphics card, but u gotta admit, he did the best he could on that graphics card

  • Excellent models (thokamus's Kelvin?) and some really great effects, but I was itching to see Enterprise open up with her phasers the whole time.

  • Same here. :-)

  • Pine and Quinto signed for three movies as far as I know...

  • i hope they make a new star trek movie to continue the story of the last one.

the action in the last movie was cool. its real nice here too.

  • The last one was a complete cliff hanger and seemed a heck of a lot like the beginning to a whole series of movies. It's only logical to assume that they will make more.

  • @damodura Man, being a huge TOS fan, and loving the new movie, I sure hope they do! What if they did Kahn next?! I'd flip!

  • @damodura Cliffhanger?! What cliffhanger!

  • @Danny77uk The new Star Trek was a complete cliffhanger, It opened a whole new can of worms

  • @damodura I love the little vulcan style assessment you made at the end ahaha

  • would have been better without a frikin website banner through the whole thing!

  • That was AWESOME! 5 stars! Epic!!!!!

  • cool you should make more this looks professional

  • Awesome video! Any more videos you can show?

  • Very nice work. Looks professional.

  • Reason the kelvin got pwned... no ventral or aft phasers...

  • @TheKevinV08 But wasn't the Kelvin shortly after NX-01 and around 20 years or so before NCC-1701? Just thinking that she didn't have the defensive technology back then. Or were you referring to the actual ST11 movie.

  • @TheKevinV08 This make more understandable many things.. By the point, I hope someone has plucked up the courage to write a novel/comic/technical manual/captain's log which explains which class is Klevin's one, why Starfleet stopped use that interesting design and what are the energy weapons that class used. A bigger version of MACO's guns? The enemies are Klingons, aren't they?

  • @TheKevinV08 It also looks like the Kelvin's Captain never raised the shields. Guess the studio didn't have the proper FX plug-in. Or that captain SUCKS! A lesson from Khan: "Sir! The shields are down!" "Raise them."

  • @TheKevinV08 SPOILER ALERT!!!

  • @TheKevinV08 Or shields ...... also .. wassnt the Kelven taken out my the Romulans?

  • @TheKevinV08 no the reason it got pwned no one thought the phaser turrets would have to fire behind the ship

  • Truly awesome. You gave us some great views of both ships not seen in the movies.

  • Isn't this clip from a videofestival or such?

  • Looks like some one took Son'a battleships and scaled them to be fighters?

  • THAT WAS GREAT!

  • Question to those that saw the newest moive: the kelvin fired phasers two different ways: as blue bolts and red beams. do both fire modes come from the same turret?

  • no. The pulse cannons are not phasers as far as im aware.

  • I am told that the red beams are phasers fire'd out of ball turrets further back than the blue ones, with are an early phaser weapon with more to do with plasma weapons

  • Quit yer bitchin'! Awesome clip dude!

  • Ok, I would say the Kelvin should be destroyed but this is a battle depicted in the "standard" universe where the Kelvin wasn't destroyed by the Narada. Pretty cool though nice job.

  • The first federation ship being attacked should not be the Kelvin. This ship should be a Kelvin class vessel with some other name.

  • I made those clips from :08 to :12. Look on my page. ; )

    Pretty cool man.

  • Animation is top notch, now do something with ship designs not from an established movie, make some new designs. This level of quality should be applied to new starship types, scenarios and possibilities. Seeing the destroyed Kelvin get saved by a ship that wasnt built when it was destroyed makes it lose something. Excellent quality.

  • Yes it was. In the first 10 minutes of the movie. Just before the opening credits roll.

  • Wasn't the Kelvin destroyed in ST10?

  • yeah...and actually it was ST11 :)

  • you mean, ST11...10 was Nemesis

  • Fan made? Very nicely done!

  • god these fools do know that the enterprise was brimming full of energy weapons not just a torpedo boat.

  • AMAZING

  • There's quite a few of these types of videos on YouTube, but this one really stands out at being pretty professional looking. Good work.

  • i must no the name of the intro song now!!!

  • Escape from the Dragon - Shrek 1

  • do anyone know the name of the Intromusic? please answere.

  • sorry no

  • @freid001 Am I right in thinking it's from Shrek? Because it sounds a lot like the music where Shrek and Co are escaping from the Dragon

  • I knew I heard it before.

It's: Escape from the Dragon - Shrek

  • @TheSimba100 "Escape from the Dragon" Shrek OST.

  • @TheSimba100 its the theme used in the shrek movie. the "Escape from the Dragon" scene.

  • @TheSimba100

Oh! I know this one! It's "Escape From The Dragon", from the Shrek soundtrack.

  • @TheSimba100 If i recall it was from Shrek 1, when they were running from the dragon

  • @TheSimba100

    "Escape the dragon" from shrek

  • @TheSimba100 all i know is that it is in Shrek number 1, hope that helps

  • @TheSimba100 the song ur looking for is Escape From The Dragon by Harry Gregson-Williams & John Powell from the album Shrek...

info from TrackID on Sony Ericsson C702

  • @TheSimba100 Its from Shrek

  • It isn't exclusive! You stole it from tobias richter's channel!

  • if only the film had a good fight in it like this

  • Who is attacking the Kelvin? Are they Orions or Nassicaans?

  • Romulans.

  • Great job. One observation though. The Enterprise does not fire her phasers in this scene. I also recall that in the movie, the ship had no visible shields until the 24th century.

  • Kirk wanted the "Look Ma, No Phasers" Achievement.

  • In fact, the Kelvin was a pre-TOS vessel, I'm not sure if they had shields at all. The Enterprise, however, would have been built in the 2250's at the earliest, and they would've surely had deflectors by then.

  • Are Their sheilds even ON???!!!!!!

  • I liked the movie but in any of the movies and DS9 they tend to nerf the federation by taking away the shields.

I wonder what happened to the "we can vaporize half a continent in one hit" days of the pilot episode "the cage"?

  • wow that was excellent

  • star trek is obviously the best way freakin better than star wars......THIS BATTLA IS JUST WAT I NEEDED HELL YEA!!!!!!!!!!

  • Now if we can see other stuff now, like what Picard said, "Remember when we used to be explorers?"

  • if I'm not mistaken didn't Jonathan Archer say something to the same effect? *proclaims my awesome trekiness ^_^*

  • In the new film, I can't believe Archer was such a douche' to exile Scotty, just cause his dog disappeared in a transporter accident.

  • lol, oh hey I loved the ep of TNG where they found scottie, you remember that one right? I just can't remember how it ended... AKA where did scottie go?

  • "Relics" You can find the episode on this site.

  • It was not an accident. Scotty used Archer's dog as a guinea pig without Archer's permission. I would have dematerialized Scotty if it was my dog.

  • No matter, I would not see that as justification to exilt a man on a deadly world because of that. Makes Archer look like a petty douche' bag.

  • That was not a deadly world... It was a Federation base for seemingly bipolar engineers. I would actually have Scotty expelled from Starfleet for being mentally unstable. Mentally sound people don't go around killing their superior officers pets in unauthorized experiments.

  • @TheCastellan oh, and btw, the series does make Archer look like a douche.

  • damn!!

  • Well done on whoever made this vid, what crackin visuals, top class!

  • it's tobias richter.

  • where did you take all of this animations?

  • I have to double check because I don't have the info memorized... so let me off and get them and I'll post the info shortly...

  • I have the graphic novel of the Mirror Mirror universe saga so I'll trade that. The rest is DC Comics (Series 1) Issues #18 to #35 (1985 to 1987)

  • Oh, and before I forget completely again, congratulations "freid001" for being one of the first gen of imagineers to take advantage of the new reality and begin to put out content for it. Excellent work!

  • I really dislike the little laser bursts, they dont look powerful. Bring back federation beam weapons please, leave the little lasers for star wars.

  • was this made in 3ds max

  • Why does the Kelvin have no shields?

  • they have very nice armor instead of shields.

  • okay... this is great and all, but why the fuck would any starfleet captain waste all those damn torpedos on some tiny ass ships like those?

  • torpedoes = one shot kill for small vessels.

  • The only problem with this video is the fact that the Kelvin was destroyed some 20+ years before the Enterprise was constructed. But it sure looks cool anyways!

  • Realy Great work. But the Videoquality is a bit crappy

  • because he stole it from tobias richetr's channel with a youtube downloader.

  • YO this is amazing. The beam phasers are a little TNG for the cool retro feel of the Kelvin and Enterprise...breech of decorum anyone?

  • Its official, you do NOT mess with the enterprise from film 11 - its probably got more firepower than the Enterprise E.

  • You kidding?

A romulan "Mining Ship" Blew a whole squadron of those shit film 11 ships up in 20 seconds.

Enterprise 11 is the Big E's Bitch

guesing you dont know shit about star trek

  • A mining ship that's had Borg tech grafted onto it against 23rd century tech doesn't seem a little unfair to you? And yes it IS borg tech - read the prequel comic. Plus in the same prequel comic, the Enterprise E was defeated in the same comic. The Enterprise from film 11 was rather close in specs to the Enterprise E due to the scans of the Kelvin on the Narada allowing for some parts to be reverse engineered. Most ships in starfleet weren't that lucky.

And lastly - the comic is canon!

  • It honestly bogles my mind as to how a film that goes against the esscence of star trek can be considered cannon.

Especially from a comic book :S

So if i write a bullshit cannon Where Nx01 has the firepower of the planet killer from Tos will you bow?

how could kelvins scans mean anything? the ship was destroyed in seconds!

The whole film is a crock,As is its "canon" status, culminated in the line "a supernova that threatned the galaxy"

Enterpise E is superior to film 11's

  • the ship was destroyed in minutes and someone must've had the sensor logs while they were leaving in the shuttles. Paramount says what you see on screen is canon. The supernova was a special one that actually acted like a chain effect nova. It's trek geez why so serious on the science.

  • Eh. How odd I took away from the whole supernova threatening the galaxy thing was more about how the destruction of Romulus would destablize the entire Romulan Empire once it's leadership was wiped out and lead to internal Romulan civil war and rogue Romulan assaults on the Federation (who they probably would have blamed for not saving Romulus) and so on... didn't think they LITTERLY MEANT the Supernova was threatening the galaxy... now that I agree with the tarded naysayers, that's just stupid.

  • The federation must be happy, the romulans are gone, in 35 years the klingons become their allies. :)

  • No they're not. Nice thing about temporal paradoxes like this is that they can redo history and tell the Romulans they need to fix their sun before it blows up in the late 24th Century... or tell them to relocate. Something.

  • why wouldn't the feds be happy romulus will blow up in 2387. I mean there goes the biggest threat to the federation. ???

  • Except they need the Romulans to throw in on the Dominion War, remember? And who knows what new threats will come up in the new reality. Anyway the only thing that blowed up was Romulus, I'm sure 90% of the empire survived.

  • the dominion war was in the 2370s. Romulus blows up after the dominion war. Romulus has about I don't know all the important romulans on the planet. I mean the whole premise of nemesis was shinzon destroying earth = UFP being destroyed. Romulus being destroyed = romulus empire being destroyed.

  • Come on, somebody help me out here. Obviously just Romulus being destroyed won't wipe out the entire Romulan Empire, it'd only throw it into chaos (and anyway considering they were on their way to not being jerkholes anymore at the time why destroy them when they were going to stop being enemies).

Anyway what ever happened to the moral high ground Picard used to preach about every seventh episode of TNG.

  • yeah you do know picard went rambo nuts in the end of the TNG movie era right? there goes his moral high ground. The romulans not being jerkholes, that's funny. LOL they overthrew their own government in nemesis, that doesn't sound good to me.

  • Anyway I think we're asking the WRONG question about the Romulans. Not so much as to whether or not the Federation is going to do anything about it (no because they'd never believe it even if they were told about it) as much as to WHO orchastrated the whole scenario to so drastically alter reality (and no the answer isn't the director of Star Trek XI).

As I see it there's only two viable candidates. Q or the Excalibans (and their quest to discover whether good or evil is stronger.)

  • JJ abrams beats out Q or the Excalibans. LOL

  • That also makes no sense. But since I took the time to complain let's talk comic canon.

The first DC Comic series took place justn after Star Trek II so they set up a rather good start with a strong secondary cast, the first Klingon to serve on a Federation ship (before I Am Worf) and Saavik easing her way into Spock's role... then Star Trek III happened and DC had to flip it's comic over on it's head and redo it (with the return to Mirror Mirror Universe and Kirk taking command of Excelsior)

  • Kirk and crew ran the Excelsior, Spock had his own command of the Surak and everything was fine... until Star Trek IV when they had to flip DC comic's reality all over again so that they got back to the new Enterprise (and reintroduced Mress and Arex into the comic continuum)... yeah, by now Paramount will never ever want to associate the comics with canon since so much weird (yet good) stuff happened in just the span of the Genesis Trilogy of movies alone, forget what happened after that.

  • again imaginary tales of what would've happened if starfleet didn't give kirk the enterprise A. LOL

  • Didn't I put my posts about the comic franchise here or was that another thread. Anyway I won't go over that again since I already said it once.
