Such books were written hundreds of years ago. Meditation is not a new thing to Christianity. In fact, it is said that Christian Mysticism has been around as long as Christianity has. And meditation and mysticism go hand in hand.
Though, I don't necessarily believe Blavatsky's ideas about one root race and one root religion. But if one skims through Isis Unveiled or The Secret Doctrine you will see that she was very knowledgeable about religion. I've read a few theosophist books and they're very informative, actually. Even if you don't consider yourself to be a theosophist, they've written books that are worth reading.

I don't doubt that Christians have experiences. But probably mainly their esoteric followers and mystics, as they meditate. I believe the Divine can be worshiped in whatever form you prefer, Christ included. But The Bible is NOT the be all end all of spiritual writings. There are many streams that lead to the same lake. It might also be mentioned that those practices of Yoga and Meditation (or any other way of contacting the dead or spirits) are condemned in Scripture. Those who practice such things ALWAYS end up contradicting the Bible - God's Word, the Truth.
Well, the only spiritual truth I've perceived has been through yogic meditation. And I believe things based on my own experiences. If I ever had visions and a complete feeling of oneness with the universe through reading The Bible, perhaps I would be an exoteric follower of Christianity. But the fact is, The Bible is only a guide, like all other spiritual writings of other religions. The truly spiritual have to work at it through meditation.
There is no "truth" to be had through meditation, only deception. You are not experiencing God through meditation but demonic spirits. A soul is a spirit. and when a soul is in hell she will be tormented by a real fire, only this fire is not material, not of this earth. it will not consume the soul only give pain. This is possible because of the will of God who has designed the place of torment for the fallen angels (not for men,in the first place). hell is a particular place, and the fire which burns there is a real fire just as real as fire is here on earth.

Though, I don't necessarily believe Blavatsky's ideas about one root race and one root religion. But if one skims through Isis Unveiled or The Secret Doctrine you will see that she was very knowledgeable about religion. I've read a few theosophist books and they're very informative, actually. Even if you don't consider yourself to be a theosophist, they've written books that are worth reading.

I don't doubt that Christians have experiences. But probably mainly their esoteric followers and mystics, as they meditate. I believe the Divine can be worshiped in whatever form you prefer, Christ included. But The Bible is NOT the be all end all of spiritual writings. There are many streams that lead to the same lake. Some run faster than others.
What about Hindus who accept Christ as God, but not the only form of God? Are they spiritually dead too? They do, after all, accept Christ.

How exactly, for Christians, does that translate to a God separate from his creation which cannot be reached until death? People like this never even consider the esoteric aspects of their religion. "Behold, the kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21). This quote from Jesus Christ does NOT advocate some esoteric experience but speaks of the new birth that every true Christian has. Jesus was speaking of being born again. Those who are without Jesus Christ are spiritually dead being separated from the Father. Only through Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sins can someone experience life.
John wrote about this in 1 John 1:1-3 when he wrote that Jesus Christ IS eternal life.

Christians DO have experience. We experience the Holy Spirit in our lives. ONE of the things that the Holy Spirit does is confirms the TRUTH of the Bible.
Here is a little project for you...Please read the New Testament (or only the book of Acts or ONE of Paul's epistles) and take any and all reference to the Holy Spirit out of it and see what you have left.

Sorry but I didn't write the Bible but that is EXACTLY what it says.
It might also be mentioned that those practices of Yoga and Meditation (or any other way of contacting the dead or spirits) are condemned in Scripture. Those who practice such things ALWAYS end up contradicting the Bible - God's Word, the Truth.

Well, the only spiritual truth I've perceived has been through yogic meditation. And I believe things based on my own experiences. If I ever had visions and a complete feeling of oneness with the universe through reading The Bible, perhaps I would be an exoteric follower of Christianity. But the fact is, The Bible is only a guide, like all other spiritual writings of other religions. The truly spiritual have to work at it through meditation.

There is no "truth" to be had through meditation, only deception. You are not experiencing God through meditation but demonic spirits. This is seen in the fact that anyone who takes part in such things do not get closer to God but further away fro Him. God condemned such practices for a reason because meditation opens one up to the demonic and their lies.
The goal of the New Age is to make "gods' of men. This is the he Garden of Eden.

How can reflection or meditation be so evil when it is said that during the lost years of Christ, he went to the East to study with monks. Meditation, visualization, or any other form of altered states are evil because they leave you open to demonic activity and deception. This is clearly seen by the fact that 1) God forbids such practices, and 2) those who practice such things are inevitably drawn away from God's Word, the info they get contradicts God's Word.
You should not be surprised that demons exist. After all much of Jesus's ministry was spent casting them out of people.

haven't heard of those books but it doesn't surprise me at all. Indeed, there is a HUGE move in Christianity towards meditation and such, mainly through contemplative prayer. This is NOT a good thing though imo.
As I said, look it up, everyone who dabbles into such things either quit doing so or end up falling away from the TRUE God. This movement is part of the end times delusion which Paul talks about in 2 Thesselonians 2.

FYI-the reference to the Third Eye this Gentleman makes, comes from traditions significantly older than Christianity... such as Budhism, or Hinduism or many other Eastern Traditions (google the word "Chakra").
