Dam man I wish DeVante and Danny Boy would hav collaberated on a whole album back in those Death Row days, and another JoDeCi album wouldnt hurt either.
HAHAHAHAHA PEOPLE THIS SONG ISNT NEW THAT IS ROGER TROUTMAN ON THE TALKBOX AND ITS DEVANTES BEAT JOJO FROM JODECI AND DANNY BOY THATS WHOS ON THE TRACK
Damn dog you know you're lying. You can clearly hear De on the track and that is most def his signature sound. You trippin man, you making claims but bring no proof??? C;mon man, just stop it.
@hobomotel Man R U trippin. You can clearly hear that it's DeVante's style. Nobody has ever managed to mimic De's style other than the man himself.
I've got just about every De track that has been commercially released, it IS his music.
If you are gonna make a claim like this, then you need to bring forth some proof. I brought forth proof that De didn't produce "Things that you say" by Renee Anderson. Where is yours??????
@CWDevine I think you're trippin, you can hear this is not Devante. First the talkbox, thats not his style of talkbox, next the way instruments are played is different from Devante. It's clearly produced by someone who is influenced by Devante's style, but this is not Devante. If u got good ears, your proof is right there.
@BoogieDownBronxZoo The whole thing is De. It's obvious that De decided to try and mimic Roger's way of using the talkbox. The talkbox sounds amateurish compaired to Roger, but that's De.
The selected sounds, instrumentals and arrangement of the song, has De's style all over it. Now if you were saying that the song "If U Don't Mind" wasnt De's, then yes I could agree to that, but this song is so De, it shouldn't even be a question about it.
not de, De was copying Roger for using the talkbox, ur right. But De used the talkbox with a different sound and way. The talkbox u hear in this track, sounds more like the sound Roger used to use. Although it's not Roger, but a lot of people have the sound of Roger. Just check some other video's her on tube.
Now for the beat, just listen to the drums and the synths that are used. Also listen how the instruments are played. This is not Devante. If your a musician and you would know.
@CWDevine I just gave u some arguments, prooving this aint a Devante production.
Where's your proof that it is? Just compare the talkbox in It's all about U ,which is a De production, and the talkbox on this one. this beats also doesnt have the signature Devante synths in it. If this is a Devante production he totally changed his style for this one.
@BoogieDownBronxZoo Proof? What proof??!! All you did was post your opinion about the song. I gave my reason for why I feel its a De song and you gave yours as to why it it's not. Neither of us can give proof.
Hobomotel is the one that says it's not De's song and claims that Hurt M' Badd did it. He also asked VA Swang if he wanted a "better" version of the song. So, if anyone here needs to provide proof, it's him. He's the one that made this claim!
@BoogieDownBronxZoo There is an interview with Devante Swing about this song and the songs that he produced on the album. He did say that this song was produced by him and it actually is Roger on the talkbox. The song All About You is also produced by Devante but the talkbox was done by Devante, not by Roger. Look up the production notes on this album and it states that as well. I believe Devante when he says that as well.
@BoogieDownBronxZoo Correct, like I stated before, on this track Roger did the talkbox not Devante. Devante did the talkbox for All About You and not Roger. Although both tracks were produced by Devante and this song(Just Ride) does sound a little different from a regular/awesome Devante production. With all that said, Devante is still the SH**!!!! Can't wait to hear some new Jodeci coming soon!
The credits for the tracks are all wrong. Death Row/WideAwake are putting out poor quality products. This features Roger Troutman. DeVante only produced It's All About U and this track on the album has very poor mixing. I can send you the better version if you like.
he sound like stokely from mint condition foreal lol
